Living From Eternity: Live Out Heaven's Reality As You Walk The Earth

Rate this book
Is God hidden from us? Every Christian is looking for a more real and tangible experience and relationship with Jesus — one that is special, personal, consistent and conversational. It’s a desire that grows and gets more desperate as we trudge through this attention-demanding earthly life. Truth be told, very few really prioritize this desire and see it become reality. Many are satisfied with their conceptual, intellectual relationship. The rest are simply either on the fence about the possibility of such a glorious relationship, or expect it to ‘happen when it happens.’ I was both of the latter. I questioned the possibility of a tangible experience of God, let alone a real-time, experiential relationship with Him, for the greater part of my early Christian life. I was skeptical of those who had it, always questioning their authenticity. All the while harboring an insatiable desire for an experience of my own. This went on until I could no longer bear the idea of not having it. A short and focused journey of seeking quickly led me to a profound realization — the hindrance was staring me in the face all along. It was speaking to me all the while — and I was listening and agreeing. It was in what I was taught to believe — I believed all the impossibilities that hindered me. Why would God not want a real-time, experiential relationship with me? It’s absurd. Of course He does. In fact, He wants to make it happen more than we do? He designed us to be relational beings. It would be highly illogical and counter productive to design us this way and turn His back on us. Why would God hide Himself? It’s ridiculous to think he’s hiding. He’s not hidden. Where are we looking? At what, or who? Some of us have been expecting to see an invisible God with our physical eyes. We’ve believed that we’re physical beings primarily. We’ve been believing everything contrary to God and His desires. All this because we’ve believed the struggles and failures of men in their pursuit of this relationship, and we’ve sculpted our own lives accordingly. Do you want a tangible, experiential relationship with Father God and Jesus? The kind of relationship that Paul and the patriarchs enjoyed — it’s for any who desire it. Remember, God is not partial. The path to such a relationship is really, really simple — ‘smack-myself-in-the-forehead’ simple — like, ‘how-could-I-have-not-seen-this-before’ simple. Seriously! God doesn’t complicate things — we do. In the first section of Living From Eternity, I start at the very foundations of our belief system — where everything begins for us. This is where we understand what went wrong and what the hindrances are. This is where we solidify our resolve to know God personally and intimately. In the second section, we delve into our true identity as sons of God. Understand how we became sons and what it entails. Get this down right and you’re all set to meet your Father face to face. In the last section, I share my journey of how it all began, how I came to visit the Father’s Throne Room and the garden in His Heart. Through personal experiences and testimonies, I describe my first encounter with Jesus during my visit to the Father’s garden, where everything changed for me. Experience how simple God has made life. Experience the power of a life of freedom in the Father. Read it slow… absorb the essence of it. Let it set you free.

Kurt daSilva is an author, speaker, and design professional. He has a deep desire to see individuals and groups find purpose in life through discovering their very own unique and personal relationship with their Heavenly Father. He loves photography, creative arts, and socializing which causes him to cross paths with people from different walks of life.

Kurt is the founder of Life Deeper Still, a ministry Father God birthed in his heart toward the end of 2016. He saw the realization of that desire later in 2017. He loves helping people kick-start their journey of living and walking in the heavenly realms. Through Life Deeper Still, he focuses on revealing the heart of God in establishing individuals in their true identity, as sons of God. He enjoys working alongside individuals, small groups, and churches, assisting and co-laboring with the body, and has seen success therein.

Kurt believes that Eternal life is about ‘knowing God’, that it’s one thing to know ‘about’ God, but a whole different experience to ‘know Him’ personally through a living relationship and that our Heavenly Father doesn’t just want us to ‘study’ Him or get to know about Him as a topic of discussion. He wants us to experience Him and be one with His glory. God created us for a relationship with Him and His love influences every aspect of our lives in every way.

daSilva's book is certainly thought provoking. It seems to be a combination of insights from Scripture, his own revelation, and personal experiences with God. He aims to clear up our misunderstandings of spiritual truth. (139) His main message seems to be that we have a clean conscience before God, we are free from any demands of performance before God and we are to be spiritually led. (41)

I question many of his concepts based on my understanding of what the Bible teaches.

He has ideas about sin, for example, that I do not believe are in line with Scripture. There is no more sin, he writes. Jesus took away the sin of the entire world. “Nothing is counted against anyone anymore.” (22) “Sin itself has been taken away by Jesus.” (22) “All sin has been done away with.” (29) “No matter what a person does, he is not in sin, because Jesus died for all his wrongdoing.” (30) He argues this by understanding sin came through the law and Jesus did away with the law. (29) My understanding: Jesus clearly says in Matt. 5:17,18 that He did not come to destroy the Law but fulfill it and that the Law will not disappear until it is all fulfilled. Also, Jesus said the Spirit would convict the world of sin in John 16:8,9. (daSilva argues from his own experience with the Holy Spirit that He would never condemn. “God does not bring guilt and condemnation for not believing in Jesus.” (32) “Our unbelief does not negate the righteous state of existence we're in.” (53)) Yet John reminds us in 1 John 1:8-10 that if we claim we do not sin we are deceiving ourselves and are making Jesus a liar.

It would seem from the above statements that daSilva believes in universal salvation. That is borne out later. “”Jesus is not going to allow ANYONE to be lost! All men – those who live or those who die – will eventually come into the light, and into the Kingdom.” (34) Again, “Everybody has been forgiven of All sin.” (38) “He came to save everyone, not just those who would believe in Him.” (43) Those who die, not knowing Jesus, go to Hades and there await the gospel to bring them into the Kingdom of light. (146)

daSilva says that any suffering, decay and death, anything of the consequences from the fall, was taken in the body of Jesus and we are free from it. (37) “Man … has been completely restored...” (22) “The enemy does not have the power to affect man directly in any way.” (26) Yet we see demon possession in the New Testament. There is no more sickness, daSilva says. (53) I guess Paul did not know that as he acknowledged Timothy's stomach problems. We have limitless capabilities, daSilva says. (78) Really.

His teaching is sometimes very confusing, as well. daSilva convinces readers that Jesus did away with sin (see above referencing pages 29,30). “A person doing nasty stuff, is simply a righteous person engaging in works that are not his true identity.” (51) But daSilva does say it is not “okay for people to live in sin, or in violation of another person's free will.” (52) But wait. How can people “live in sin” if Jesus did away with sin? “Sin has been destroyed once and for all.” (54)

Sometimes I don't understand where daSilva gets his teaching. “Contrary to popular belief, Jesus is not standing beside the Father and praying to Him for us.” (65) Yet Paul says Jesus is at the right hand of God interceding for us in Rom. 8:34. “No host of Heaven has any authority to influence or impact the physical realm...” (80) But Daniel said angels shut the mouths of lions when he was in the lion's den (Dan. 6:22) and two angels pulled Lot in, shut his door and blinded his attackers (Gen. 19:1,10,11) and an angel stopped Balaam's donkey. (Numb. 22:22-35) There are also the many people in the New Testament time who did and said things because they were controlled by demons, such as the son thrown into the fire. (Mark 9:17,18) “Nothing in creation can happen outside the 'will of man' – it never has, or ever will.” (90) Yet it certainly wasn't Balaam's will that the donkey would not go on. (Numb. 22) It was not Paul's will that he continue to have his thorn in the flesh. (2 Cor. 12:8) It wasn't the son's will the demon toss him in the fire. (Mark 9:17,18) “[Jesus] never acknowledged the things of the Earth to be real.” (179) I am not even sure what that statement can mean. Jesus didn't eat, wear clothes, ride a donkey?

Whenever I review a book containing Christian theology I debate how much space I should take to critique the theology. While I did read the entire book, I chose to focus on just some of the teachings because, after all, this is a book review, not a rebuttal of the theology contained within.

I appreciate daSilva's teaching that we are not accepted by God because of our performance and his encouragement that we live and relate to God with a clean conscience, being led by the Spirit. I would encourage readers to be like the Bereans, however, and read this book with their Bible in hand.

I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the author. My comments are an independent and honest review.

Read this book! It’s a page turner. When we accept Christ as our Lord and saviour, we are told that we are believers or followers of Christ. But that isn’t who we really are! What is our real identity in Christ? This book will help you understand your reality as you walk this earth. Read it... you’ll find countless blessings coming your way...

Living from Eternity takes you along a journey to exploring your makeup and you’re inherently capable of, in light of God’s original creation. In getting a glimpse of what happened before our world was made, and what God’s intent was in making Man, we discover the truth of our identity and learn fundamental principles that help us solve life’s toughest, yet most practical questions.

We have been translated and are now citizens of the Kingdom of Light. We are designed to live in close communion with Heaven, the way Jesus did. He saw and knew things no one else did, and He gave us that ability by the Holy Spirit. As a son of God, in Jesus, you and I have the same ability to live and walk in the Heavenly realms.

Late last year, as I was spending time with Father God, He said that I’d be writing a book soon.
I felt inadequate, and that brought a momentary jitter. I didn’t know what I’d be writing about, but I didn’t question Him. I knew Him enough to know it was going to be an adventure I’d smoothly sail into. Over the years, I’ve experienced Him do things in my life that required little or no effort on my part — it made me more confident about life in Him.

This book is about those experiences, and a whole lot more…

God wants You to be a supernatural being in a natural world — It’s who You are!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading as much as I have writing it.

Must-read if you want to live an extra-ordinary life!

I used to constantly face the challenge of highs and lows, spiritually and emotionally, primarily because I was in a high-stress job and dealt with a wide variety of personalities at my workplace. The content in this book really helped me overcome those obstacles! It helped me understand what my life purpose is, and how I can practically live each day, from the heavenlies such that I can always experience consistent highs and no more lows!

Its contains revelation that is truly and most definitely God-breathed! Every person with whom I have shared this content has been awe-struck with the clarity and solutions it brought in their own lives to problems and issues they had long resigned themselves to…

Its definitely a Must-Read for everyone!

Highly recommended for those who truly want to live an extra-ordinary life and don’t want to settle for anything less!

Living from Eternity... I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to explore their identity as Sons.... It gives you a clarity on topics like Praying in tongues, Interpretation of dreams and much more. I had many AAHAA! moments while reading this book. It will help not only the newbies but the ones who thought they knew it all too.

I read the whole book, and it felt as if it was meant specifically for me. As I delved further in it, it started speaking to me and answering all the queries that I had but didn't know who to ask.
The questions about - Tongues / Dreams / Believing / Faith all resonated deeply so that I started having a better understanding and clarity and my faith seemed to grow by leaps and bounds, making me unafraid to face head-on all the seemingly insurmountable problems.

This book is a real blessing. Thank you.

Enlightening Indeed

Enlightening is one word to adequately describe this book. I know we live in the age where revelation and spiritual insight is prominent all over the world, and the truth about who we really are as sons of God and what is made available to us is now coming to the fore, the challenge is always to articulate it. This author does well.

I am hungry for God and it is good to know that God desires to satisfy my appetite with Himself. I understand the author’s position that his experience will not be mine, but it’s encouraging to know what is available to the believer in Christ. All things are possible and all things are yours, the Bible says. This book really paved the way for us as readers to stay the course and never to limit God or ourselves because all things really are possible.
