Hardcover in good condition. Edgewear and faint scores on the jacket; small chip to the rear lower leading corner. Front flap price clipped (although the original publisher's price label is nearby). A couple of dents on the rear of the jacket and rear board. Interior very good with clean and sound pages. CM

Loved this historical fiction set in India. A woman goes back to India to try to find out how her missionary mother ended up with a very expensive and unique shawl. Really captures the essence of what British colonial life was like during WW2 and also goes into much detail about how cashmere wool and weaving is done in that part of the world. Nice escape fiction.
