This is the story of a town where they build time machines and train selected children to embark on their maiden voyage at the age of 16; sending them off to an uncertain past or possibly future. But most of all this is the story of Donny, one of the selected, who has other ideas, regardless of whether his younger father or the rest of the town approve or not.
