I live in the Inland Empire area of California with my husband and beloved pets. I also have sons off paving their own way in the world. I grew up in Wichita, Kansas and have lived all over the United States.
I have released several novels in the suspense/thriller, paranormal/supernatural thriller, and horror genres. I also have poetry and short story collections and have contributed short stories to multiple anthologies. Conduit has earned Bestseller on Amazon in the US and UK. Conduit, The Boys Club, and Chrysalis have all won highly respected awards, while Conduit, The Boys Club, and False Security have also had blogger and reader-voted awards bestowed upon them.
As a reader first, writer second, I love to discover new authors. My entire life has revolved around imaginary worlds contained within the covers of a book. My aunt introduced me to Stephen King and a little book called Christine in eighth grade, and my life was never the same. As a geek-extraordinaire, I love comics and graphic novels, and also review those, along with the occasional movie and book, as a guest contributor for Fanbase Press.
Holy hell!! Talk about an amazing group of short stories! I've read several anthologies over the years but usually I only read 1 or 2 of the books but with this one I devoured all 7 in a short amount of time. They all brought a new meaning to the word horror. I wish I coukd say that one stood out above the others but they were all amazing! Creepy and scary and original to the nth degree.
Blood in the Mirror is a book comprised of seven authors....some of who are making their first foray into the horror genre....and not a single story disappointed. We all know and love the stories and more about mirrors. Every author within these pages took it to a different place. Author Angie Martin wrote a tale based on Japanese lore while author Jess Bagnell touched deep into the human mind and what it can do to a person. Some stories caused a chill of fear and others opened a chill that I felt deeper in my core. I highly recommend this book and pray these authors don't stop. If you're looking for a book to send a shiver up your spine and a jolt of "what if" into your reflection, this is the book you need. Bravo.
Read with the lights on!! Read this mainly because I love Courtney Lynn Rose and wanted to see what she had up her sleeve in the way of horror. Well, being raised Catholic and went to Catholic schools 1-12, this story hit close to home. I do remember them talking about Excorisms during school and when "The Excorist" came out, it was suggested that we not see it. So, being 60 yrs old I have still not seen the movie and have no desire. This book brought back a lot of memories of prayers and a loss of feeling close to the Catholic church. I'm a Christian, raised Catholic but do not go to church as much as I used to. Figure I can talk to God anywhere and he will listen. That is why I felt so close to what Tiffany was feeling and what she was going through. As long as you have faith, your life will be easier. (side note: finished reading this about 2am, went to bed and was awoken at 4:45 with the largest amount of thunder and lightning I have seen/heard in a very long time). If you enjoy horror stories, I can guarantee you will enjoy these short stories and find another great author to follow.
This Anthology is a great read! Each story has a way of getting you hooked and keeping your interest! The characters in each story are relatable! Very well written by a group of talented authors! Highly recommend!
Horror is not my thing but when your favorite author tells you she's in it, you read it of course. With that being said, I'm not going to lie, this book gave me nightmares. I had to read it while my husband was in the same room. DURING THE DAY! Lol. My review is for Legacy by Courtney Lynn Rose which can be read in one sitting. Scary, don't read in the dark, don't read alone and really good. Love all of Courtney's books even this scary one!
OMG…ok, I am sure by the title you know this is a book filled with horror stories by the following authors Angie Martin T. Elizabeth Guthrie Jess Bagnall CeeCee Elaine Brian McCord Courtney Lynn Rose Annamarie Gardner. I was raised in a culture that believes in the paranormal but my grandparents practically raised my brothers and I. They babysat my brothers, and all my cousins (at the most my grandmother would watch 12 of us at one time. She raised 5 boys and 2 girls with their friends over all the time). So of course we would scare each other and tell ghost stories and local folklore for example the Hawaiian Nightmarchers and the menehune. But my grandfather was a very practical man who told us that if we don’t see or we don’t know what we are experiencing then it is not real. My Dad told us the same thing even telling us a story of how he and a couple of friends thought that the saw the “white lady” (local legend was she would hitchhike and disappear when reaching destination and the person giving her a ride depending on motives would experience bad luck or not) while hunting at night. So my Dad with his friends following my grandfathers advice followed her and they ended up finding a commune of people dressed in white robes or dresses camping out in the mountains. On my mother’s side of the family being Japanese, of course, believed in our ancestors watching over us and the how they must be worshipped or they could turn on you. But I have never experienced anything of a paranormal nature. Relatives have reported incidents of course but no proof. Now back to the book just reading Courtney Lynn Roses’ Legacies caused me several times to get goose bumps. If horror is your jam so to speak then I highly recommend this book. I have to admit this was my first one. I was not sure if I would enjoy it but I really did. Now I read this book from morning to time for me to make dinner for my family and ended it at bedtime and I am sincerely hoping not to get nightmares. Anyway, I hope you will find this book as engrossing as I have a enjoy reading all of the stories herein. For me it was totally engrossing and did not want to put it down nor stop turning the pages as fast as I could read it.
Crikey what a read. I absolutely loved this anthology. I usually read a book pretty quickly but with this I dipped in and out and spread it out as much as I could. I really didn’t want it to end.
Most of the authors are new to me. However when I saw Courtney Lynn Rose had a story in this I knew I had to read it and I wasn’t disappointed.
If you enjoy creepy read then I highly recommend this anthology.
I’m a fan of horror and this book was great. In this story Tiffany feels God isn’t real, and that Demons are just something made up and told to people scare them. Then things take a turn when she has a meeting with Father Marcus. No spoilers, read and find out what happens next. This book is suspenseful, intense, and I loved it!! It’s definitely well worth the read.
This is a collection of seven authors who have gotten together and written some horror. If you love horror stories, snatch this up. I highly recommend reading it. These stories will grip you and keep you glued to the pages. If you scare easily, don’t read in the dark. You may see some familiar authors and meet some new ones. Jump right in and get scared good. If you love horror, don’t pass this anthology up.
Wow! This book is packed with horror that you can not put down. Well, unless it is dark outside...lol . There are some familiar authors and you may discover some new ones. If you love horror, don’t pass on this anthology. I highly recommend this book! All of the authors did a fantastic job! Cortney Lynn Rose's was one of my favorite stories! Perhaps I have a new genre to explore...umm if I am not a scaredy cat...lol
My review is for Legacy by Courtney Lynn Rose. Sometimes things in life happen to you to make you think you have lost your faith and beliefs and question why would God keep letting bad things happen to you if he was real and truly loved you. This is how Tiffany feels in the story Legacy, she feels God is not real and neither are Demons, that Demons are just something told to people to scare them to make them be good. Tiffany has become a target for a Demon will she survive. You need to read this great scary short story to find out what happens.
I'll start off by saying, after reading the stories in Blood In The Mirror, I will officially be limiting my time in front of mirrors. LOL! I'll be ok with a quick glance in the morning and I'm done. The fact that these stories were able to embed themselves into my everyday life shows how well they are written. Horror isn't my go to genre. But this anthology has definitely changed that. Well done!!!
This anthology contains short stories from 7 authors, some of whom I know and have read before whilst others are new to me. I like this anthology and appreciate the time the authors went to in order to produce such a great anthology. I would suggest not reading these just prior to going to bed, this is not a bedtime book.

Horror was and is my first love when it comes to reading and writing. At a very young age I was always considered the girl next door with a dark side just underneath the surface. Thoroughly enjoying the different takes on the genre. A great anthology that keeps you wanting more from each of the talented authors. Thanks for the thrills!
You'll find a little bit of everything in this anthology Blood in the Mirror, whatever your taste in Horror. Seven authors make a common mirror the center of a horrific tale. Each presenting their own twist, raising the hairs on the back of your neck and the goosebumps on your arms. Definitely worth taking a look deep into the mirror.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.

This is a phenomenal horror anthology written by Seven marvelous authors. One being the prolific Courtney Love Rose. You'll read it and know why we're were told not to look in mirrors or to keep them covered up when someone died. Truly a scary book. Better read in the daylight and not alone.
These short stories really had me wanting to sleep with the light on. I’m one who likes to know if things go bump in the night but these stories had me looking over my shoulder. It’s must read.
