With the Alliance Fleet scattered and the Motti’s Dissembler weapon laying waste to the last habitable worlds, Jetta Kyron faces an enemy who will use this time of strife and suffering to seize power over the Starways. With death at her heels and the powers of an ancient evil at her fingertips, Jetta finds herself tumbling down a path she swore she would never take. The fourth installment of the Triorion series pits Jetta and her siblings against the most fearsome enemy of all.
Amazon bestselling author L.J. Hachmeister writes and fights -- although she tries not to do them at the same time. L. J. is a world champion stick-fighter, a black belt in Doce Pares Eskrima and Taekwondo, and is a brown belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu, but maintains that no opponent is as daunting as the last 30% of a manuscript.
L. J. is a cross-genre author under the umbrella of science fiction/fantasy. Her Cuban roots and LGBTQA+ ties greatly impact her writing, as well as her career as a registered nurse. However, her love for rescuing puppies and working with other animal charity organizations drives her passion to succeed as an author so she can continue to give to animals in need. L. J. is an avid sponsor for "Lifeline Puppy Rescue."
Although I have enjoyed the three books prior to "Reborn - Part II," book four is truly the pinnacle of the series. Without revealing any spoilers, book four pits Jetta against so many enemies and obstacles that it is literally a page turner until the grand finale at the end. The major plots are woven together seamlessly, and all the questions and backstory that were kept enshrouded in mystery are finally revealed in a very satisfying conclusion. However, there is a teaser for book five at the end of the epilogue. It looks as if the journey for the triplets is not over yet. I have to say this series has been a very pleasant surprise, especially since this was a last-minute Kickstarter pledge. There have been some incredibly dark moments for the characters, but the end of book four makes it worth all the heartache and turmoil. Hope, faith, family, loyalty and love. That is the essence of the fourth book, and now that I can look back on the journey, the entire series thus far. Highly recommended for those that love involving themselves in the lives and hearts of the characters.
The last book in the series didn't disappoint! I got many of the answers I was seeking and the author put a nice little bow on it. I am wondering what is next for the author and can't wait to see what she cooks up after such an amazing series. As a whole I really enjoyed the series and encourage anyone looking for a new read to check it out! Go get them now...I mean it, right now!!! :)
The exciting conclusion to the first four books! I felt it nicely wrapped up events so far, and even if it was the end of the series (hooray, it isn't!) I would be satisfied.
Hachmeister's character-driven narrative remains enjoyable throughout; it never drags with plenty of action. The relationships between characters are very well written, and often heartwarming. I caught myself tearing up a couple times, as ties between family members pull on a particular weakness of mine. Well done!
Very interested to see where the series goes from here.
*SOME SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE OTHER THREE BOOKS* Jahx, Jaeia, and Jetta have already faced the worst kind of monsters: nightmarish Borg creatures, genocidal villains, oppressive militias--but the worst is yet to come as face the demonic force at the root of their powers. Although this book was pitched to me as appropriate for "mature teens," there were some very dark chapters, and some steamy relationship scenes that (I loved) I would screen for anyone younger than 14. I finished this entire series within two weeks. The series got better with each book. I can't wait for book five.
I regret taking gaps between reading these books -- lots of characters to keep track of. By the end of Reborn Part II I was wishing I had created a map; there are tons of interesting backstories and events that finally come full-circle by the epic conclusion of Reborn. By about halfway through, this book became tough to put down. Super fun ride with a very rewarding ending(First time that we have less cliff-hangers than answers, I think!) Looking forward to book 5.
The much awaited book 4 did not disappoint. The story kept me guessing the whole way and I honestly could not put it down (read it in a day). The end had a twist I never saw coming. If you are a fan of the series, you will enjoy the novel. If you are looking for a new series, well worth the read!
