Corey

No matter which way I turn he’s there, watching me silently, his stare penetrating me from a distance. His eyes bore into me, seeing all the parts of myself I keep hidden. I have a secret I thought no one knew about. It’s easy to hide what I secretly crave when judging eyes see women on my arm. But he sees what I keep inside, and I’m afraid I’m going to let him expose it.

Dillon

Arrested. The charges? Murder and stalking. One is a crime I didn’t commit, and the other, well, there’s no denying that it’s true. I’m out and I’m angry, and someone is going to pay for that little stunt. He should’ve known that nothing will keep me away. Out of sight, out of mind, that shit doesn’t work on a man like me, and I can be any man I need to be.

Dillion Wright is arrested and charged with...well, let’s just say partially correct charges. He isn’t really a good man. Once free, he wants to get his ex back and at any cost. Corey Ashdown knows he is being watched but is it who he thinks it is? This is a standalone however, the characters do interconnect from book one, “In Plain Sight.” A fast paced, dark, stalker MM romance. I enjoyed this twisted treat. Told in Dual POV

STORY: ★★★★
EDITING/PROOFREADING: ★★
OVERALL: ★★★

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed many books by Michelle Brown and Ally Vance, so I know how incredibly talented and creative these two women are. That said, I know that they are capable of much, much more than what they deliver in this duet.

When Ally Vance had an editor name Sheena, her books were immaculate. I mean, the majority of them were literally flawless. However, the last few books I’ve read by her have been full of errors which is super distracting. I had hoped maybe Michelle Brown had a good editor or proofreader, but unfortunately, this book was just as bad, maybe worse than the last few I’ve read by Vance. Although this editor did catch a lot of the proofreading mistakes I noticed in book #1, this book had major plot holes, tons of inconsistencies, and numerous aspects of the storyline just didn’t add up which for me, ruined what could’ve been a fabulous story.

What disappointed me the most was that this book wasn’t edited to read like it was written by just one author; it was very obvious that this was written by two different people. There were obvious inconsistencies, (presumably because each author said things differently). For example, occasionally there were phrases like, “You’ve not” and, car park” which are British ways of speaking. Also, one of the authors liked to use commas before TOO at the end of the sentence, yet the other author did not (that or commas before TOO at the end of sentences were just used sporadically). For more details, continue reading below. Otherwise, this is where my review ends!

Loved this book! I knew when I finished book 1 & found out who the leading men were in this story I was going to love it. And I DID. ALOT. Dillion and Corey were FANTASTIC. The heated chemistry had me obsessed myself.
Sometimes when reading a shorter book I feel unfulfilled. Or the book seems rushed. Or in many cases it is insta-love which is my least favorite. But none of those things happened in this story. It was executed perfectly. It had the right amount of suspense, the most perfect amount of angst and my favorite...SEXY TIME. 5 stars for this duo yet again.

I absolutely loved this story. I loved book one from this writing duo and I loved this even more.

Dillon and Corey are two excellent characters. The chemistry between them is so hot.

If you enjoy stalker stories then you will love this one. A well written mm with some great characters.

I swear, this writing duo just keep getting better and bringing their best to each of their cowrites! Out of Sight was stellar! The chemistry between Dillon and Corey was electric. Their connection was a current that buzzed throughout the pages and left me wanting to devour their story. And I did just that! The story was well executed. Just the right amounts of suspense, passion, and angst to have me furiously flipping pages and of course DAT STEAM! Yum. Despite this being a novella their story was well constructed and felt whole, but I mean I’m greedy and of course wanted more. (You hear that, Ally Michelle? *wink*)

I loved loved this story from these 2 ladies they never leave a person dissatisfied but they always leave you wanting more of their stories. This book had me flipping pages trying to find out what was going to happen next. This is about Corey & Dillon and how Corey just can't face the truth that he wants Dillon and Dillon is a lil obsessed with Corey he knows it's only a matter of time before his stalking will get his man, but then something happens and Dillon gets blamed. Just what it something is well you'll have to find out by one clicking it. Enjoy!

obsession[ uhb-sesh-uhn ]
noun
1. the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc.
2. the idea, image, desire, feeling, etc., itself.
3.the state of being obsessed.
4.the act of obsessing.
This definition is exactly how I would describe this book.. Corey has an obsession and his name is Dillon. The sizzling chemistry between these 2 will leave you panting and wanting more. The twist and turns that occur to get these two together will leave you on the edge of your seats.

Okay, I had no idea this was a MM romance. But, that's okay. I've read MM before. This was a one sitting page turner. Plenty of suspense. Great Characters.

I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I absolutely adore Dillon and his asshole ways. This stalker romance is in the same vein as book one In Plain Sight and even features the characters from the first book. Sexy, dark, and fun I highly recommend for those that enjoy dark MM.

After reading book #1 In Plain Sight I was a little reluctant (as in, not-interested anymore) to read book #2 Out of Sight. However, because it was only 83 pages, and I already 'knew' the main characters, I decided to read it after all.
Just like the first book, the different POVs and short chapters (sometimes just a little over 1 page!) made it hard for me to keep track of who's POV I was reading. I didn't 'get' the relationship between Dillon and Corey.... at all.
Nope, this book was not for me... and in the end I was so glad that it was only 83 pages. 😏
I rarely rate less than 3 stars... however, the 3 stars for this book don't shine very bright! 🤪

The writing was okay, but it felt like we stepped into the middle of an ongoing story. These two had a history that we were supposed to know about. And even if you can eventually piece together what had happened in the past, it would have been nice to have had a recap, either in the prologue or in flashbacks, if it wasn't going to be part of the story. Besides all of the plot points that I had no idea about, it was also really hard to keep track of who was who, both characters were seeing other people and I think the side people were also seeing/involved with their own side pieces. I finally quit caring about trying to figure out who was with whom, and what their connections were to everyone else, and that led to me just not caring about the story at all.

Stalker novella

Dillon’s on trial for Vivian’s murder. The tip off coming from his friend, Corey. Somehow between books, they’ve had a relationship? Inconsistencies abound from page one.

“Whether I know Dillon, or not, it doesn’t change the fact that the murder charges against him were laid there by me, and given his possessiveness over whatever he sets his mind to, I don’t doubt he could be capable of it if pushed.”

Run ons and plot inconsistencies did my head in sorry. 🤷‍♀️

Told not shown.
Repetitive.
Frustrating inner monologue.

Plot holes in a short 🙄

Heat 1/5
Dark 1/5
Plot 2/5

Hampered by the lack of editing and a proofread. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
