God and World Religions: Basic Beliefs and Themes

Rate this book
As the title suggests, this book affirms that God has established contact with various world religions. The criteria for identifying the contact are implicit in beliefs (by their fruits shall we know them). When beliefs point to oneness (there can be only one Creator), universality (elements must be transcontinental), and when the effects of these beliefs are redeeming, peace producing, and to be fair to all, contact from the Eternal Source has been received. Beliefs rooted in fear that divide people, build walls, and generate hostility, reflect human sources. In seeking to distinguish between the two, this book enters a new field called a theology of religion.
