Submitting to the public, as we do now, our final selections of ICELANDIC LEGENDS, we deem it proper, for many reasons, to cast out a comprehensive though brief glance over the Icelandic folk-lore, which in most respects, remains hitherto unknown to our readers, and which, for our English readers especially, contains matters of the deepest interest.
Plenty of stories about witches, trolls, goblins, ghosts, sea-monsters, elves, wizards, skeletons and so on. High point were the stories about the school of magic. Low point was a racist story about murdering a black man brought to Iceland by merchants. Free on Internet Archive.
