Cute book about friends, exploration, and expectations. Illustrations are nice. Easy for a 4-5 year old to understand. Overall, 4/5 stars ⭐️ would recommend.

The working theme for this week's summer reading programs was "Starfish Stuff", working into the overall theme "Reach for the Stars--R E A D !" This story tied both themes together.

Two "dump dwellers" decide to build a spaceship and see the stars. They end up in a tide pool, instead, but think they are in deep space! Upon their safe return they enlist the help of their friends to create a theme-park from recycled trash. Ingenius!

This story helped us transition to our "Treasure Bag" craft activity (inspired by this idea found in Family Fun Magazine : http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/treasu... )
