i am cheating on my beloved Angela Nguyen with this book, but i can't resist an opportunity to inexpertly render someone else's adorable animal drawings! there are 30 pages of creatures, so i'm starting a day late, and i hope i have enough room here to post 'em all this time ! LET'S DO THIS THING!
MARCH 2 - GUINEA PIG
to save space, i'm only going to post MY versions of these creatures, starting with these guinea pigs. the author's introduction gently remarks: Don't worry if you make a mistake or your pictures look different from mine—all drawings are unique, and that's part of what makes them special. assume hers are always gonna be cuter than mine, but mine are VERY SPECIAL nonetheless.
MARCH 3 - MACARONODILE
this one is called a MACARONODILE, which is a very pointy confectionary, followed by some softer options she has not given names to. feel free to supply clever options below.
MARCH 4 - BUNNY
THESE ARE THE BUNNIES THE TITLE PROMISED TO TEACH ME HOW TO DRAW!
MARCH 5 - DEER
because i don't bother with backgrounds or landscapes or perspective, these could be SPACE DEER floating thru the galaxy.
and thanks to anna, now they ARE!
MARCH 6 - DUCKLING
here is my parade of ducklings. can you guess which one is the RUBBER duckling?
MARCH 7 - LADYBUG
it's women's history month, so here are some ladybugs!!!
MARCH 8 - GROUNDHOG MUFFIN
this one is called, inexplicably, a "groundhog muffin," which is A) not a thing, and B) pretty clearly a groundhog cupcake, going by the jimmies on top (that's 'sprinkles' to you non-new englanders). whatever it is, i have drawn it.
MARCH 9 - KOALA
here are some koalas. we all float down here &etc.
**your girl hasn't been updating this review because lifeshit got me: work, illness, sads, etc. but i've been drawing through it all, so brace yourself for a SLEW of cuties and apologies.**
MARCH 10 - LAMB SUSHI
only one of these is a lamb sushi, unless there's some new kind of hipster-knitting sushi the kids are into these days that no one bothered telling me about.
MARCH 11 - CHOCOLATE BUNNY
i did one milk chocolate and one dark chocolate bunny, to appeal to alla your various tastes.
but i have some bad news for the bunny in this book.
i'm coming for ya...
MARCH 12 - SLOW LORIS
this is almost pornographic, but i'm awfully eager to eat see the resulting love children
MARCH 13 - LLAMA BUNNY
in this book, everything can become a bunny! or a harpist!
MARCH 14 - CATERPILLAR
here's a bunch of weird-ass caterpillars. and before you ask me why i drew one like a poop, know that i was only following her directions:
a caterpooper!
MARCH 15 - RACCOON RABBIT
again, only one of these things is a raccoon bunny, and again-again, everything can be bunnied.
MARCH 16 - BEETLE
this is the last thing you will ever see. sorry for the preview.
MARCH 17 - BIRD'S NEST
i don't know what kind of dumbass pompoms those are on the dumbass birds, but since i spoiled your demise for you with those beetles, i'll make it up to you by showing you the last thing i'm going to see
MARCH 18 - BUMBLEBEE
TIL that bumblebees LOVE carrying tiny baskets. when they're not playing tambourines.
MARCH 19 - DONKEY
this is how everything becomes a bunny! bonky romance!
MARCH 20 - BASKET OF CHICKS
pre-easter basket basket!! and a chick eating what may be part of that chocolate bunny!
MARCH 21 - DORMOUSE
for easter, i would like a basket full of these roly polies, please!
MARCH 22 - BUNNY CAT
livin' that lulu 'everything is bunnies' mayo lifestyle...
MARCH 23 - DINO EGG
who's coming for breakfast at myyyyyy house?? interestingly, no bunnies to be seen here...
MARCH 24 - CORGI PUPPY
corgi puppy showing off their butts and one is a bunny!
MARCH 25 - BUNNY DOUGHNUT
welp, now she's given up all pretense of not being owned by the bunny mafia.
MARCH 26 - BABY SEAL
still sick and weak and all i can do is offer you these baby seals. TAKE THESE BABY SEALS!!
MARCH 27 - BUTTERFLY
these look more like boob-erflies to me, all bedazzled and decked out for some sexxy pole-dancing. LGM.
MARCH 28 - UNICORN
curvycorns with bunny tails are maybe belonging to hugh hefner? and now they are free to eat eggs and...give them away in baskets? i'm too tired to finish this train of thought CHOO CHOOOOO let me go to bed please.
MARCH 29 - CARROT
day 29 and you get what you've been waiting for: the carrot. i like that one of these is a bunnicula'd carrot and that there are teeny tiny bunniculas waiting their turn.
MARCH 30 - FLOWER
oof, it's a bold move to choose a flower for the penultimate drawing, after so many cute animals. then again, 'carrot' and 'butterfly' are equally meh. DON'T RUN OUT OF STEAM BEFORE THE BIG FINALE, LULU MAYO!!
MARCH 31 - SLOTH
i close this review out with TWO pages of sloths! slow and steady wins this race!
i did make a promise to draw an easter basket full of cuties, though, so i suppose i'll be updating this review in a couple of days. stay tuned, pals!! easter beasters are coming!
