I find that all too often, the publishing door is shut to fledgling poets who would like to air their creativity, share it with the world and hope that someone might pick it up and enjoy it. This book is aimed at those very people. It is born out of the desire to encourage the creativity of poets; the bringing forth of new and vibrant work, perhaps not always hitting the mark, but still dancing in the joy of seeing one’s thoughts and musings published for the first time. All these works are original and the majority are by first time poets. Some saw the process as a challenge to write their first piece, some are still honing their craft and donating their work to help and encourage others to follow suit. This is quite possibly the only chance many of these poets will get, and so although this may be their only publication, I am happy to have helped them get to join us all in verse and prose. My hope is that the book is a success and more will follow and encourage more creatives to self-publish and hopefully move on to bigger and better things. One thing is for sure, as the editor, I am more than pleased, and very proud to have brought this project together and discovered a whole new wave of poets to your attention. I hope you enjoy the work. Please look out for and follow the poets and encourage more to follow suit.
