...A fast-paced action adventure series that only left me wanting more...

...Pretty much has it all. Suspense, mystery, loads of action, and an antihero you want for a next-door neighbor...

...My new favorite hero...

...I assumed this hero was going to be like all of the rest. I was WRONG! It reads like a John Wick movie at times. And it is obvious the author knows his guns and his combat. No more unrealistic firearms or gun battles where there is an endless supply of ammunition. Our vigilante justice warrior even has the discipline to count his shots as they are being fired. I have never seen that before. And, there's a whole lot more in this series you haven't seen before. It's like the author tossed the genre on its head and came up with something else.About time...

James is a thriller writer with influences from Clancy, Flynn, Child, and others. He's been featured in articles for Recoil Magazine and Off-Grid. Recoil listed him featured him in an article entitled: "Best Selling Authors Who Get It Right." High praise indeed.

Born and raised in Louisiana, but currently residing in Oklahoma, James draws from his southern roots in his storytelling, creating a protagonist that is quiet and reserved, drawing on a commonsense approach to crime-fighting. The DJ Slaughter character, for example, is easily relatable. You know who he is pretty quick and can see yourself in his struggles. In a world of over-the-top heroes, James is a breath of fresh air.

James continues to write his popular DJ Slaughter series but is rumored to be secretly working on something exciting and new in the background. We can't wait to see what he's cooked up for us all.

An Attempted Presidential Assassination...DJ Slaughter Right In The Middle Of The Action..

My favorite good doer, no matter the odds, is Back!! DJ Slaughter and his Team are on the way to be recognized by the President for their recent actions. An exciting time for sure, but Abbi, DJ's wife, is pregnant and feeling strong pains all the way. It must just be Braxton Hicks contractions, she has to get through this event....Only she would feel her water break, in the Oval Office!! As everyone is hurrying to get her medical attention, there is a large crash.....And all hell breaks loose!!
Secret security rushing to the President, who will Not let them separate the pregnant mom from him. He gives his own orders, and all soon learn that someone on his Team is a traitor..
Exciting action, fast-paced scenes in which you can feel the tension around you, as bullets whiz by and DJ takes over in a fight for everyone's lives...Someone is trying to kill the President, and using other countries as their home, hoping to draw the USA into a war they can't win...The President asks DJ and his Team to find who did this...
Can DJ and the people on his Team figure this out....Before the many enemies in place among the White House staff can cause more mayhem and loss....
Another 5 STAR story from an author who lays it all on the line! If you enjoy action thrillers, grab this book Today!!

This series has been a pleasant surprise for me from the very beginning. We have gotten to meet DJ Slaughter, a man who is EXTREMELY talented with a gun and a man who has the uncanny habit of somehow finding lots and lots of trouble. But, it works. Everything works. The author has created around DJ, a family. They may be a kind of family of misfits, but family they are. There has been trouble, betrayal, love....yet, through everything, they have learned that they can depend on each
other.

It has been a while since I read the last book so I was excited about diving right in. I actually listened to most of this book on Audible and had absolutely no problems with the narrator. So, as usual, the action starts from the very beginning and honestly, it rarely takes a breath after that. There are a lot of deaths - but is that REALLY a surprise? I was saddened by a particular death, but as the saying goes - the show must go on. This book was a little different because our cast of characters are separated for a lot of this book. That actually added to the anxiety for me.

While a little out there, the premise is interesting - actually, if you want to know the truth, it's a bit scary. Add another win to the column because I enjoyed this book quite a bit. There is also the set up for more to come. All in all, it was a good day :)

Couldn’t put it down..

It’s not a very original title, but not having read a James Beltz novel in a while I really enjoyed getting back into it. My only complaint was the assassin who seems to be very capable of throwing a high speed golf ball that does damage. That was a very unusual role for an assassin that didn’t know how to fight or shoot a gun. I’m very happy that carbon didn’t meet an early death like the author led one to believe. Bringing him back into the picture was perfect. Other than that, I can’t wait to read the next one.

Action, action and more action! A missile attacks the Oval Office, right where the President was supposed to be. He wasn't there, but his phone was. All the evidence points to a foreign enemy, but the President doesn't buy it. He sends DJ and his team to investigate. A lot of innocent lives were lost and DJ's instructions are very clear. No prisoners. A lot of suspense in this excellent thriller!

James Beltz always brings amazing details of the action without weighing down the story. The weapon and sets up a new path for DJ and the team.s each character uses are on full display. As if you are watching a movie. I didn't think the story was as good the time around, but the end is excellent, and it sets up a new path for the team.
