ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Bodhie

Heroine : Trixie

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 7/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : Abuse

Plot Summary :
This is Bodhi and Trixie's story. Bodhie is the third king. Trixie is his perfect counterpart. Bodhie is a typical Antihero who did horrible things to Trixie. Still a part of her is entranced by the last king.

Trixie was never meant to mean anything to bodhie but now she is. And there is nothing he can do about it except fall in love with her more and more every time. But things are not that easy. With mutual enemies , they both have to make a lot of sacrifices and if hurting Trix is the one that bodhie will have to make then so be it.

Overall Opinion :
This book was the perfect ending to this series for me. Bodhie and Trixie's story was a long time coming and I am so damn happy to finally get to know these amazing characters again! Bodhie was a perfect Antihero who had a playful side too. Trixie was the one girl he couldn't have and the only one he wanted.

I will admit that there were parts of the story where I found myself losing interest but it was still an amazing overall read for me. If you are a fan of high school bully Romance then don't hesitate to pick up this one!!

This was nearly on par with the first two books in the series but not quite. Both Bhodie and Trixie have little to no personality in this book compared to their sidekick status in the earlier books. Trixie is a wet noodle that irritated me to no end in her secret keeping decisions and unwillingness to make waves or even attempt to help herself.

Besides having no personality individually and no chemistry together, there is even a bigger problem with this book; Bhodie and Trixie are apart for most of the book. Seriously, they are apart about 90% of the book. The first few chapter are a flashback to freshman year and how they met and the year they spent together. The the rest of the book is senior year, them being apart (and with other people, having sex, etc) until the last few chapters and a totally unsatisfying epilogue.

This book continued with the unusual (for this type of book) idea that these were teenage boys that really didn't have the experience or maturity to handle the problems they find themselves involved in and for the most part reach out for help from a responsible, loving adult (which is extremely rare to find in these type of HS books as well). Both Bhodie and Trixie keep secrets entirely too long in this book but that's the only way there would have been a book so it was lazy plotting, really.

The best character in the past two books has been Connor. I hope he gets a book. He seems like an actual Alphahole I would love to see taken down by his heart.

This series never fails to disappoint and King of Denial was the perfect ending. I loved it!
I had been desperate to get my hands on bodhi and Tricie’s story and it was definitely worth the wait and the build up from the previous two books.
Trixie and Bodhi’s story isn’t an easy romance. It’s full of suspense, drama and secrets that will keep you glued to the pages. The story is way more emotional than I had anticipated but I loved how raw and real it was.
This whole series was very well written. It’s my first time reading this author and now I can’t wait to dive into some of jacie’s other books.

This is Jacie Lennon's best work so far! After reading the first two Almadale books I was waiting impatiently for Bodhi's story and boy, she did not disappoint! I loved the story, it was filled with humor, suspense, it all made sense and it was soooo fun reading about about Bodhi & Trix. Bodhi is really my favorite of the Almadale boys and the chemistry between Trix and him is A-MA-ZING. I read this book in one night because I couldn't put it down and I even looked for the snippets in the previous books because when I was done, because I wanted MORE of Bodhi & Trix. (Still do)

This was my favorite of this series! I loved Bodhi and Trixie. Their journey to an HEA was filled with suspense, drama and great chemistry. I loved that both of them were strong and willing to put the other first no matter what they had to go through to keep the other safe. This is my voluntary honest review after receiving a free advanced copy.

This is book three in the Boys of Almadale series. This is a great series and this is another brilliant addition.

We now get Bodhi and Trixies story. Bodhi is one of the kings at Almadale Prep. He portrays himself as the clown but he is so much more than that.

This has a brilliant storyline that I couldn’t read fast enough. It’s easy to see why this author is becoming a favourite of mine :)

This is the third book in the Boys of Almadale, and the story of Bodie, and Trixie. When secrets, and lies tear Bodie, and Trixie apart, Bodie project his hurt onto Trixie, and torments her, with the torment he feels. This is a emotional read, well written, and the characters have intense chemistry. This was raw, gritty, dramatic, emotional, intense, twisted, and a must read!

Jacie! Oh what a way to end the series!🤩Ever since the first book I wanted to know more about Trixie and Bodhis story than just the basics we already knew.

He loved her so so so deeply and desperately that he became so tortured and reckless. Their romance certainly isn't an easy one, filled with suspense, drama, and secrets that keep you wanting more!

I SO felt for Trixie, she was essentially a prisoner in her own life. The story was was more emotional than I expected and I cried along with Bodhi and with Trixie as I read. It was so raw and real.

This whole series is extremely well written and by far in my top 3 series books.

@authorjacielennon you are an extremely talented author and I can't wait to read more!

Thank you for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

The mystery (and angst) behind Bodhi and Trixie’s relationship has been building from the first book in this series and their story was so worth the anticipation. I absolutely loved how real and raw and vulnerable this book was at times—I was falling in love with them as younger versions of themselves while they were falling in love and I was breaking right along with them as they were selflessly motivating themselves to walk away from the other while painfully working towards a life without their person by their side.

The way Bodhi and Trixie complimented one another was so satisfying, special and quite refreshing. Trixie grounded him and Bodhi set her free. Their love was something fierce and at times painful because of what they chose to do to protect the other, but their strength through it all was admirable and I’m so happy they pushed through it all to get the HEA they deserved.

I have to admit the twist at the ending was unbelievably exciting and unique to me. For sure a first time read like this for me and I gotta say it might end up on my unicorn list because there is something so exhilarating about that ending!

It’s really hard to say goodbye to the Three Kings. The world building and character building in these books was done so well that I’m actually sad to say goodbye to some of the side characters as well. I might even beg for a few side characters to get their own stories.... gosh, I’m such a greedy reader. 🤣🤪

Being fully transparent, I am part of Jacie’s ARC team and was provided an Advanced Copy of the book to voluntarily read and provide an honest review.

I am in shock at this book. It was intense and my heart is racing...I was not ready.

This book sums up what loving someone unconditionally means. Trix and Bo are consumed by their love. I will be honest. I have not read the other 2 but this book and its characters blew me away. I didnt think it was going to be this whole plot of "scared for my life" situations, but I was there for it..I was ecstatic at all of the plot twists and turns. I honestly didnt know how she was going to get out of her situation.

What made it great is that you didnt see all of the characters perfect without mistakes. You got to see the dirty grimy bits that portray realness and disappointment. Bodhie is almost considered an antihero, you knew why he was doing the things he was doing but still couldnt believe that he did horrible things to Trix. It all is for keeping her safe, However this does have triggers so be warned.

Even though I did not read the other two, this one was super easy to get into and I loved all of the side characters and if im honest, I kinda liked that I knew who was together with who and a little bit of how it happened. Trix proved to be a survivor and she could of just given in and dealt with it, but she didnt, she took her life by the horns and was able to find out the truth and honestly, I went a little hot for Connor. Whew he just took control...All in all I think this book was a phenomenal last book to a series that Im sad is over...I will be reading the other ones just to see what happens because shootout with a motorcycle gang sounds like a fun time..
I enjoyed this journey of Bo and Trix because it spans years. And I love the idyllic ending. Its perfect..SO come along for this ride, its twisty and turny, it made me weep, then smile with relief in love...Its definitely a journey you dont want to miss and the fabulous ending to a royal reign. The Kings of Almadale …May you live long and prosper...

King of Denial is the third book in the Boys of Almadale Series by Jacie Lennon. It is narrated from the dual POV of Bodhi (Bo) Montgomery and Beatrice (Trixie) Northcutt This is a bully romance that is recommended for mature audiences.

So I really thought that this whole book was going to be about a boy pining after a girl who broke his heart but oh boy was I ever so wrong. The heartbreak caused by the end of the relationship turned into anger, pure hatred and the desire to humiliate her whenever possible. I have to admit I absolutely loved Bo even more when he turned into a bullying ahole because I really enjoyed watching his wrath being released.

I liked Trixie because she was strong, brave and never gave up fighting. She went through so much and my heart broke for her. I thought that is was very interesting that Bo’s character didn’t follow the typical bully cycle instead he seemed to go in reverse and then changed direction again later in the story. The chemistry between Bo and Trixie never went away after they broke up, I actually found that it got a lot stronger.

The secrets, anger, pain, love, hate, twists and turns made this story a roller coaster ride which I never wanted to get off. This was the first book from the Boys of Almadale Series that I have read and now I look forward to reading the first two so I know everything that happened before this book. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

King of Denial is the third book in the Boys of Armadale series. It is a feel-good story with some angst and heartbreak. In books 1 and 2 of the series, we got a glimpse into Bodhi and Trixie, and we know that they were a serious couple during freshman year until something tore them apart.
Bodhi is the life of the group, always smiling and joking around with everyone, masking his pain because deep inside he is hurt. Thinking that everyone abandons him like his mom and Trixie did, he thinks he isn't good enough to be loved which causes him to spiral.
Trixie is battling her own drama. When her family arrange for her to marry someone and threaten Bodhi's safety if she doesn't comply, she knows she needs to do whatever it takes to keep him safe, even if it means breaking his heart and being treated like crap by her so-called fiancee.
Will Bodhi and Trixie ever find their way back to one another? Will Trixie go through with the marriage and marry a man she despises?
This was an amazing story. I had been anticipating hearing Bodhi and Trixie's story since book 1 of the series, and I can say that Jacie Lennon did not disappoint. Told in both past and present, this story has humor, drama, suspense and great chemistry between these two characters, and after all the heartache they went through, I'm glad they were able to solve their problems and find a HEA.

Brodhi and Trixie love story is greatest of all because you see pieces of it thru out the other books. Janice Lennon does fantastic job bring their story to us.

Trixie is trapped by her family to marry someone to pay off her father debts. She engage to Seth who is Brodhi enemies. Seth mistreats Trixie. And when she disobey her family does nothing about.

Brodhi has loved Trixie since they meet when she broke up with him. It break a piece of him. He thought when they turn 18 he could convince her to come back to him but due to events out of his control. He had to walk away.

Now we get to see them get through the up and down as they fight to figured out how to over come all that stand in their way. Will they ever get their HEA. Read to found out you won’t regret.

King Of Regret does give us so great characters. Janice Lennon brings emotion to each characters and the storyline was fantastic written. She also bring drama passion spicy scenes and lots love. She bring back characters from the past two books of the series.

One thing I hate is the Seth character. I know it a big role in the book. But I still can hate.

Warning there are triggers in the books..

I was give this arc for my honest review.

Oh how I adore Bodhi, he has been the splash of humor these books needed to break the tension from the beginning. In all three books he's had me cracking up! But as we've come to learn, sometimes it's the ones always laughing, who hurt the most.

“You came up with that on your own?”

“I’m actually a promise-maker prodigy. Come to me with all your exclusive promise sign needs.”

“You should put out an ad. I think you would make bank.”

“Make bank, you say? What am I even doing at school then? I’m quitting today.”

Bodhi is troubled. Bodhi is sad. And Bodhi is breaking. We knew what he had with Trixie was deep, and we knew their story was going to be a bit a rough one. I was sure it'd be the hardest one of them all. I still think I was right.

Trixie was a frustrating character for me. She did as she was written to but my lord if she'd ever been my friend in real life it'd be hard not to wallop her. I understand fear was at play here but GRRRR!! They both drove me nuts at points. I was either laughing or growling in frustration through the whole book. 🤣😤 It was insane.

This had been a great series, excellent characters, thrilling plots, and just enough steam to get us drooling. I am curious though... how bout that Conner? 🤔😏

O.M.G….I absolutely love King of Denial. Jacie Lennon, author did a fantastic job with with King of Denial. Jacie’s characters were all so easy to empathize with and crush on. I could not get enough. In the authors note in the end Jacie commented that we have not seen the last of Boys of Almadale and I for one am hoping that we will get Connor’s story. He deserves one. King of Denial had so many of my favorite elements that I love and use while rating the books I read. King of Denial was full of twist, turns, ups, downs, emotions, sooo much heat, things going sideways, and always leaving us, the readers, guessing from one page to the next in what will happen next. All of that makes it almost impossible to put down and resent any interruptions. I for one read it all in one sitting. I could not get enough. I laughed, cried, yelled, and cheered for Bo and Trix to get their HEA. They fought long and hard for it and I am sooo sooo happy for them. I won’t go into details as you will have to read it for yourself but just know that I highly recommend King of Denial and will be putting Jacie on my authors to watch list. Hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

This is the third book in the Boys of Almadale series and it just keeps getting better. I recommend reading the books in order as the other characters from the previous books make their appearances here. From the beginning of the series, there has been something about Bodhi and Trixie that captivated me and I am glad that they finally have their story told. Bodhi and Trixie have had an attraction to each other and were together until they were not. They meet up again freshman year and suddenly, Bodhi starts speaking to Trixie. However, each one has some family drama that causes some issues for them. For Bodhi, it is because of when his mother left that caused him to be distrustful and when Trixie leaves him, he begins to doubt that he is worthy. Trixie is dealing with being forced to do something for her father that she does not want to do. This is one drama filled, well written storyline that has passion and steam to keep readers glued to their chairs until the final word. I am sorry to see this end but cannot wait to read what Ms. Lennon has coming next.

King of Denial is the third book in the Boys of Almadale series. These books should be read in order. This book is the story of Bodhi and Beatrice (Trixie). In Book two we found out that Bodhi and Trixie were together in the past but something happened and they were no longer on speaking terms.

This book goes back to Freshman year when they started seeing each other, and then when the thing happened to make them stop seeing each other, and then fast forward to senior year. Bodhi seems like the easy going class clown who isn't serious, but we find out deep down he spiraling, because his mom left him, and then Trixie left him, and he feels he's not good enough for anyone.

Trixie is hiding her own family battles, and doesn’t know how to get out of it. She is trying to keep Bodhi safe, but he doesn't know it. He treats her like crap at times, when he realizes it may be more than he things and is trying to keep her away from him to keep her safe. Can they get through the battles of others? Will they end up back together? Can they learn to forgive each other?

I really enjoyed this series.

I LOVE this series so much, but King of Denial just topped the previous two for real. Bohdi & Trixie's story is very emotionally deep despite his penchant for being the fun dude. He & Trixie became friends in freshman year, and it didn't take them long to develop more after they really got to know each other, but things take a turn when she leaves him & no one is able to see that there is more to the story. He's the fun one on the outside as he tries to hide his abandonment issues with women. She's going through her own hell but comes off badly on the surface. The story becomes very deep, mature in some senses, painful, addictive, with a kicker of f-bomb worthy twists coming in hot. I'm going to keep this review short & sweet because I don't want to give anything away since it would ruin what the brilliant Jacie Lennon penned & that would be a crime! So just read it for yourselves as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

(4 stars)

The third of the Boys of Almadale, and the action just keeps on coming. With Bodhi and Trixie's story we actually go back a bit and get back story and then the present to the mess that we got a whiff of in the previous story. Once we find out all the back story, everything suddenly makes sense with those two. Now they just have to figure a way out of the mess they found themselves in, or is it too late and Trixie's fate is sealed?

I didn't want to get to much into the plot and spoil things. I will say this answered all questions I have had. Drama, danger, violence, super hot chemistry, my only complaint; I wanted to see more of the three after everything was wrapped up, more of an epilogue. But maybe this isn't over yet? That idea makes me happy! I give this 4 stars.

King of Denial is the third title in the Boys of Almadale and features Bohdi and Trixie.
In the previous books Bodhi was portrayed as the irreverent player, always ready with a joke and the life of the party, but it’s a veneer to hide his deep vulnerabilities and abandonment issues. Trixie is not the jezebel she’s been portrayed in the previous books, and there’s definitely more to her story than meets the eye.
Both Trixie and Brodie are strong characters with a love story that is both raw and vulnerable. They are both willing to do anything to keep the other safe, even if it means sacrificing their own happiness.
I loved reading the history of their relationship that has been alluded to in the previous titles.
I highly recommend the Boys of Almadale series to anyone who enjoys a title packed full of suspense, drama, intrigue and humor with undeniable chemistry.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Bohdi and Trixie’s journey. Bodhi is one of the kings of Almadale Prep, and he portrays himself as the class clown, and Trixie has a secret, and they are both strong willed. This story gives a great background into Bodhi and Trixie and we find out how they get into the situation they now find themselves in. These two are the perfect compliment for each other as she grounds him, and he sets her free, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. This is a beautifully written story which is filled with emotions, angst, mystery, secrets, drama, danger, suspense, violence, and twists, which all lead to a steamy and humorous, riveting, and all-consuming read. I was intrigued and hooked throughout, and I highly recommend this talented authors work for all readers.

King of Denial (Boys of almadale #3)

Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It was such a great story between Trix and Bodhi. They were also the couple I was most excited for too! Trix and Bodhi dated Freshman year in high school until summer break, when Trix avoids all communication with Bodhi. This story is about second chances, raw emotions, and discovery of oneself. I truly enjoyed this story and recommend it!

I loved the relationship that Bodhi and Trix have.

“Good.” I loop my arm through his, pulling him close and smiling up at him as he stares down at me. “I can’t imagine doing this without you.”

Bodhi also feels so deeply, it makes me cry happy tears.

“Be with me. Tonight, tomorrow, forever. Forget about whatever is wrong and be mine.

King of Denial is the 3rd book in the Boys of Almadale series. I absolutely loved this book so much , Bully Romances Are one of my very favorite Tropes . This is Bodhi And Trixie’s love story. They have so much chemistry and push and pull between each other.the . One of the things I’ve truly loved in this book is how you learn about all the past characters and their relationships between each other , and the history between all the friends . This story has absolutely everything you could want in a great book , Drama , angst , spicy scenes, characters from the last 2 books and it is written so well . I genuinely could not stop reading once I started .

I have loved all the books in this series so far and couldn't wait to get to what had happened with Bodhi and Trixie cause as you see them in the other two books you want to root for them. In this story you learn how they got together and the details of their relationship and the ultimate thing that had wrecked their relationship. You want to help them find away to save themselves from all the hurt and to me that makes a great story as it pulls you in. You want to help Trixie get away from the hurt and pain in her life. And while Bodhi seems that he doesn't let anything bother him and always the jokester of the group but in this book we get to learn that there is much more to him and when he hurts he feels it hard.

The third book in the Boys of Almadale series is Trixie and Bodhi's story.   In the previous books, it let us know they had been together previously but no longer were.  So this book starts in 9th grade, when they got together, and tells their story.  At one point,  they have a falling out and are not on speaking terms for part of high school.   Bodhi has issues due to the fact that his mother abandoned him and his brother, as well as Trixie not telling him why they couldn't be together.  Bodhi then finds out about Trixie staying away from him to protect him, and their issues are slowly resolved.  I really did enjoy this series.

🌌 My heart cried because of this couple, the first time because they were too cute and the last time because they were apart.

King Of Denial is Book 3 in Boys of Almadel trilogy, it tell us about Trixie and Bodhi, two persons that known each other basically since they were little.

They start to talk more in high school and eventually, they become friends. Then, something happen and they have to stay apart.

Trixie is a sweet girl that doesn’t have much power in her life and we get a chance to see her grow. Bodhi is a sweet guy (sometimes) my heart felt sad because of him.

If you're a fan of the series I don’t know what you think but I definitely loved this one!

Those dog gone boys of Almadale have struck again!

This is the story of Trixie and Bhodi and let me tell you something, it was one helluva story!

Young love! Who would have thought that it would last a lifetime. What started out as a growing friend between to children grew into something I didn’t think could last!

This one was by far my most favorite book of the series! I have a soft spot for young love AND bad boys!

I encourage you to start the series so you can take this ride right along with me! I do hope the one guy in the shadows gets his HEA...a girl can hope😏

What an amazing book! From the beginning it pulls you in. Trixie and Bodhi go thru so much. Trixie’s family secret is one I didn’t see coming. Bodhi’s love for her is apparent from the beginning but with the family secret can him and Trixie truly be together in the end. This is a page turner with lots of suspense.
