The story is about a 12-year old girl called Pari, a school-going kid, who always has her hands covered in gloves. The gloves make her the center of teasing in the school; kids like to pick on her. However, she means the world to her grandma, Kalpana. After her mom's death, her grandma has taken upon her to save her from an evil person that has led to them switching cities innumerable times. Nakul is her neighbor aunty, Xin's nephew, who enters her life though she doesn't want him around. A series of events that follow, create total havoc in Pari's life. Why had Pari and Kalpana always had to switch cities? In reality, who is Nakul and Xin? Is Pari ready for everything that goes on in her life? All of this gets revealed in the end, and that entirely blows your mind. It's my first book from the author, and I am sure to read more of her work.

The author has done an excellent work of describing the different characters, each with their unique style. It carries you back to your school days, reminiscing all the remarkable friendships. I loved the buildup, the detailed story-telling of Pari-Nakul in such details that it excites you on what's coming next. The dialogues are vivid and keep you interested. Thumbs up on the book's cover and title, very innovative.

It's a fictional story twirling around magic. I would recommend this book to everyone, but I somehow think youngsters will relish this more. This book is the first part of the adventures, and I can't wait for the sequel. Since this is a short story, you can finish this book comfortably in one sitting. The emotions shared by Grandma and Pari is super touching.
Grab your copy and your cuppa, and get engaged in Pari's world!

- My review:
• The story begins with a pregnant woman, Maya.
• She gives birth to a girl child and the story fast forwards to a phase where Pari is 13 years old kid.
• She was left all alone and just to avoid getting reminisced with the past, she resides with her grandmother kalpi at Coonoor.
• After so many ups and downs Pari realizes and experiences what is life and how hard it is to survive.
• What happens to her mother? How will this little girl tackle and overcome the tough times?

- My point of view
• The school life of Pari was portrayed well.
• The bond between grandmother and granddaughter leaves an emotional touch.
• The title is suitable to the plot as the story is quite mysterious and suspenseful.
• The reveal of suspense stood like a delight, reading the entire book.

- What makes this book to be the best?
• The narration flowed smoothly without having blunt sentences which actually made me visualize the complete scene. It actually took me to a different world.
• The author chose a flawlessly lucid vocabulary to narrate that made the story even more intriguing.

Book- The Cryptic Clutch (Pari and Nakul Book 1)
Author- A.M Rain
Format- Amazon Kindle
Length- 90 pages
Ratings- 4.2/5
Review-
What happens when you have some special powers within you? “The Cryptic Clutch” is a contemporary fantasy-thriller that will keep you engaged due to some amazing narration by the author. Eager to read and review the 2nd part of the book if given a chance. The author has shown us that 90 pages are enough to cook a good story and keep the suspense for the next version.
The story is about a twelve year old girl Pari, who lives with her grandmother Kalpi. Her life is not like the other girls of her age. Most of the time they cannot stay at any place for a longer time due to some reasons which Kalpi knew but hadn’t revealed it to Pari yet. She was made to wear gloves all the time, which she was made fun off by all. Her confidence level was buried but the girl was still looking for answers for all these that were happening.
Shit happened when her identity and powers got revealed in an event in school. Then enters Nakul in her life, her neighbor’s nephew, who understood her powers as well her problems.
They set out to avenge the death of her grandmother after some unidentified men attacked her house in the evening and killed her grandmother.
Will she come to know about her mysterious past and how she got these powers? What future had in store for the little girl? I guess the 2nd book will get more interesting.
The dark theme of the story kept me glued to the book. A short as well as intensifying read. The characters are nicely developed that will set the tone for the next part. Surely recommended!

"The Cryptic Clutch: Pari and Nakul" by A.M. Rain is one of those magical realism novels which can be enjoyed by all the age groups.
.
The story revolves around our protagonist named Pari, who was born with many mysteries, she lives with her grandmother kalpi, who has the memory issues but that not the mysterious part.
.
The book starts with her school life, where we read the mysticism of her hands and why she always has to wear the gloves, but it isn't the reason that they cant stay at a place for a long time.
.
The story gets more deep and emotional when we got to know about her mother and when her neighbour’s nephew, Nakul enters the story.

A good short read!

The book is a short read (90 pages) on the story of a twelve year old kid - Pari, who has mystical powers, but is forced to skip towns throughout her childhood in order to keep them a secret, and she is bullied and called a 'freak' by her classmates due to the same. The things take a turn when some events start unfolding at her school, and her secret gets out.

Keeping in mind that this is the first book in the series of n books, and that this is a kids' read, the book is fairly good with the usage of simple language and forming a foundation stone for a gripping story. The emotions of the protagonist are well portrayed for a 12 year old child, and the dialogues and scenes are well constructed to be followed easily.

The couple of things that could've been better are first, the cover, since imo the book is better suited for kids, but the cover doesn't portray anything as such. Also, the whole story seemed kind of just the prologue. Now this is okay if the author plans for at least 2-3 more books in the series, but this one could've still seen a bit more action.

All in all, a good short read.

The story starts with a leap of 13 years and this is the story of a girl named Pari.
And the mysteries she is sucked into or the ones which revolve around her just like her hands which are the biggest of all in them.

The relationship between the grandparents and the grandkids is always the purest of all.
Exactly as the bond between the grandmother (Kalpana) and granddaughter(Pari) is shown in this one.
Because of the unique features of Pari's hands, she and her grandmother could not exactly stay in one place for so long they have to move after a short duration.
Her schooling in Coonoor is widely discussed in the entire play.

This is a suspense thriller and keeps the reader hooked.
I enjoyed how the storyline unfolds itself, totally a page-turner.
The entry of the character Nakul brings out many more twists and turns of the story.

The cover of the book gives a gothic impression and intrigues you to read it and am pretty sure you are not gonna regret choosing this.
The narration done in the book is quite engaging and the language used is just plain simple for everyone to understand.

Overall it is an amazing one, don't miss it. I loved it, eagerly waiting for the next part and what it holds for us.

Recommended to everyone. Give this one a chance you'll surely enjoy.

Author: A.M.Rain
Format: Kindle
Ratings: 4.5/5
_______________________
The play begins with the character Maya trying to get away from her past and the story get a leap of 13 years revolving around the life of Pari a school girl. She lived with her grandmother and her hand get out of control when it’s left alone. Pari and her grandmother Kalpana (Kalpi) coudnt stay at one place and that is the biggest suspense of the play.

- The entire play takes place in Cunoor during Pari’s school days. The play has taken to next level when Nakul enter the scene and brings in more thrilling adventures.

- The tile and the play go hand in hand as we can see how they have brought the essence of mysterious and how it could be related to Pari’s hands.

- Simple construction of words and continuous flow of narration is an added advantage of the play.

- This book brought a fairy tale ending and the most loved part was Nakul stood by Paris side and helped her in all her needs.

A short and quick read book recommended for all age groups and looking for more Pari and Nakul series books.

An Indulging Read

The Cryptic Clutch is a magical realism treat into the world of Pari and Maya authored by AM Rain .
Maya is worried about her baby ,and she is worried about the evil that can use Pari's powers for evil objectives .
Pari is little girl who had lost her mother in a car accident when she was 3 and now lives with her grandmother ,Kalpi.
Pari is continuously reminded of keeping her emotions in control and cover her hands with gloves to avoid unavoidable situations.
Her hands can feel her emotions and act accordingly .

Can Kalpi forever keep Pari hidden from the evil lurking behind .
Will Nakul ,the new weird boy in her neighborhood have a role to play in Pair's life .

The book is written in a lucid way with simple language .Characters are engaging and very less information is revealed till now about the life of Pari .
The suspense is maintained till the end and maybe will continue in successive part .
I will recommend this book to smalls kids and adults both .

"I can tell you that what we feel on the inside us what we communicate to those around us. If you did not think of yourself as different, maybe no one else will."

This book is the first book of the series. It begins on a lighter note of the bond shared by Pari & her grandmother, Kalki. A sense of nostalgia with a bond with your grandparents can be felt while reading it. The choice of sentences is pretty good & meaningful thoughts are added at different points. Like "The name can be a gudie to The child. Show her what she is capable of becoming." The character sketching is done nicely so as to make each character stand out. The bond Pari & Nakul develop is kind of fun to read. Towards the conclusion, it was a bit abrupt but since there is a sequel coming on, a lot of my questions will be answered, or so I hope. Overall, it was a fine read for me.

My favorite quote from the book :
"It is the end of the world only when it's the end of the world. Until then we fight with hope in our hearts, steel in our soul and purpose in our minds."

A wonderful read

- The Cryptic Clutch is a story of a little girl named Pari whose hands go out of control when left to themselves. Because of this unique feature, Pari and her grand mother Kalpana whom Pari calls as Kalpi couldnt stay at one place for long time.
To know how Pari lost her mother and to know who is behind the little girl, one must read the story.

- The story revolves around Pari and her schooling in Coonoor. The author maintained the suspense and interest all throughout the story.

- With the entry of Nakul, the story grew more deeper and the ending was emotional as well as mind blowing. I loved the ending the most.
Now, with Nakul beside her, I am very eager to read further of Pari and Nakul series.

- The dialogue construction was brilliant though I felt the story was a bit rushed, may be the important details will be revealed in the next book.

- After reading the story, I felt the title depicts either the cryptic clucth Pari's hands hold or that someone dangerous is looking for Pari and their connection is being referred to as Cryptic Clutch.

- The cover is one beautiful aspect of this story which is very attractive and is one of the reason I chose this book.

- The language is simple and lucid and the puctuations and tense were perfect without giving any chance for confusion.

- This story is recommended for every age group starting from kids who could relate to their schooling while adults do enjoy the suspense part.

𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓: A. M Rain
𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: Fantasy, Mystery

𝑴𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘:A mere 90 pages book full of suspense, thrill and wonderful experiences, the story kept my interest peaked until the end.
The story is about Pari, who is about to be 13 years old but has a secret. She has to keep her hands covered with gloves all the time (Elsa, anyone?). Her grandmother Kalpi, knows more than she shows but refuses to share anything with Pari. However, when an unfortunate incident breaks out, Pari is left alone except for Nakul who understands Pari's condition.
The exposition set, the rest of the story follows Pari and Nakul as they start a journey of vengeance. Although the book is short, the author has indeed done a good job of narrating a truly engaging story. I didn't know the length of the story beforehand. (I try not to know about the number of pages of the books that I am going to read) So it was an abrupt stop to the story for me. I hope more information is revealed in the next book. Otherwise, this book has that incomplete feel to it.
The characters have been well written and I am really glad that there weren't too many characters. This is one of the reasons I liked the book. That and the suspense that the author has managed to keep until the end. I liked Pari's character and as a 13 year old, her maturity levels are higher than me 😅. I liked her interactions with Nakul and Xin.
The cover is good. I love it, it gives off that thriller vibe. The narration style is modern without being complex. I do wish the book was longer but of course, this book seems to be targeted to young readers. I am sure they will love reading the book. I will recommend the book to readers of all ages.

A mysterious past, a dangerous present and an uncertain future…

Maya was on a run from someone while she was expecting a baby. The story moves fast forward. Now this baby is twelve-year-old Pari, who is living with her grandmother whom she calls as Kalpi. Most of the time they cannot stay at any place for a longer time due to many reasons which are not revealed to Pari yet.

Due to her strange habit of wearing gloves, she is targeted by the bullies most of the time and often find herself in trouble. And the power of her hands  are growing everyday  which  she is not able to control easily

The entry of neighbour 's nephew changed her life forever. Somehow he understands her powers and problems.

From whom they are running? and what was the reason of her mother' s death.?
Why she possesses special powers??

Read this book to know the answers to all these questions.

The genre of this book is thriller and suspense is kept till the end of the book. Classroom 's scene will make you giggle.

language is easy and narration is smooth.
the cover is attractive.
This is a short read of only 90 pages which can be finished in 1.5 hours.
Recommended.!!

The Cryptic Clutch: Pari and Nakul Book 1 authored by A.M. Rain is an amazing read with lot of mystery and suspense all through.

Plot revolves around young girl named Pari, who possesses magical powers, trying to live normal life, hiding/staying away from evil dark forces. Know more about Pari, her mother Maya, her grandma Kalpana, their lives and background, powers that Pari possesses, her school life, who are the dark forces, who is Nakul, why are they behind Pari, get answers to before and more by reading. School scenes are funny and entertaining.

This book is more of an introduction book so author has built plot meticulously and portrayed characters beautifully, narration is compelling and language is lucid.

Plot line has a traces of similarity with Harry Potter like mother is dead, protagonist don't know about their own powers/potential and wants to know about self, people trying hard to keep them alive, evil guys behind their lives etc.

Book is a short read and can be finished within few hours, personally finished the book in one sitting.

Totally enjoyed reading the plot, look forward for the next part and would recommend to all fiction lovers.

Book One builds up good suspense!

The story of prophecy and introduction of the vulnerable yet powerful pari is the book that really engages you in the book. The story of pari's young age and her struggle with her own powers is a good fast paced read which you want to know about of what will happen next. A teenager perspective in this fantasy world engages you even more in this book as you get to read of the anguish and the new characters that take the story forward along with Pari. I am eagerly waiting for the second book.

This book is a story about a girl named Pari who has 'powers' in her hands. She lost her mother in an accident and lives with her grandmother named Kalpi or Kalpana. They are always on the run and don't stay in one place too long.
Pari, because of her powers, wears gloves because her hands act according to her emotions and can cause destruction. Just because of her habit of wearing gloves, she is bullied at school and called a weirdo.
After a course of time, she meets Nakul, a guy who is her neighbour's nephew and he somehow knows about the magic in her hands and when Pari tells Kalpi about it, she says that they have to move again.
Pari is not aware why they don't stay in one place too long but she eventually gets to know when several men break into her house to capture her.

The story is very engaging and entertaining. It is a short read so anyone can pick it up. The writing is simple and the narration is smooth. The title is very intriguing and will encourage you to pick up the book. The ending is also well crafted to make you reach out for the next book in the series.

The Cryptic Clutch (Pari & Nakul Book 1) by A. M. Rain (pen name of Varsha Dixit) is the story of Pari, a young girl who lives with her grandmother Kalpi in the town of Coonoor. While being a regular teenager, she has to wear gloves all the time, for she has a secret which, if came to light, could be disastrous. Things were not easy for her, with her gloves becoming an object of ridicule in a school. Things take a turn when a fire occurs in her school, and she is exhorted by Nakul, the nephew of her neighbor to take off her gloves to escape and save the others. Flummoxed that a person who she has known for barely a week knows about her powers, she returns home just to find things have changed drastically.

The book is a short read that has a good storytelling that has an element of mystery from the word go. A fantasy book, the story keeps you guessing as to what the plot of the book is, and you cannot guess the actual point till towards the end of the book. That is something I would really commend the author on. She has truly maintained a fine balance between a fantasy which piques a reader’s interest. The thing that didn’t work me was the one-sided narration and the unbalanced story. Had the author included some more information and more incidents, probably that could have improved the story a lot. The language in the book is simple, easy to understand, and most importantly, apt for the story and the age of the characters. The climax is nail-biting and will keep you looking out for the second part of the book.

Coming to the characters, the author has crafted her characters beautifully with some innovative character quirks. Pari with her gloves and carefree attitude, Kalpi with her absentmindedness, Aunty Xin with her quirky walk and the Goth Nakul add an interesting flavor to the story that add to the beautiful storytelling. I am looking forward as to what she has planned for the characters in the coming books. The surprise change in the characters towards the end of the book was a pleasant surprise.

The Cryptic Clutch revolves around the life of a 13 year old Pari who is living a simple life with her sweet grandmother Kalpi who is very protective of Pari. They are always moving from one city to another as if running from someone which frustrates Pari alot. Pari is always the target of bullies and punishments in her school, even when she is never at fault. She is always seen wearing gloves and never ever removes them in front of other people. It's a secret that is only between her and Kalpi. There is something special about her hands that she is not fully aware of (Scarlet Witch vibes here).
.
.
.
Nakul a Goth with his bright hair and dark makeup enters Pari's life who tries to avoid him at all time but he still lurks around her. An accident in school exposes Pari's magical hands to Nakul. The book is a relatively short read and has sort of a dark theme to it. This book is the first in its series and ends on a cliffhanger to the readers, eagerly waiting for the next book. The language is simple and easy and story is quite engaging to readers.

Mystical powers is something that would amaze us any day. All are us want to have some powers to solve our problems and conquer the world. The only thing how do we get it and how do we use it. Each of us hold special powers within all of us (not mystical for sure), but a strong mind to make things happen that we believe in. So let’s make the most of our mind, and do the best!

The Cryptic Clutch is a thrilling tale of Pari and her controversial gloved hands.
The preface gives a glimpse of a pregnant woman amid the jungles pondering upon the thought whether she should kill the child in her womb because it'll not be safe after birth.
A man reasons with her telling her that the child will be extraordinary and special.
The story fast forwards to thirteen years ahead where we see Pari and her grandmother Kalpi who do not stay at a place because it's too dangerous for them to stay put.
They don't want to attract attention and are hiding from something unknown.
Pari is seen wearing gloves on her hands always due to which her classmates call her a freak.
Kalpi orders Pari never to remove her gloves and to keep a check on her emotions.
There's something fishy in the story and that's what makes it an amazing thriller forcing the Readers to sit at the edge of the chair.
Pari has no idea why they keep moving and what is the thing Kalpi keeps dreading.
Once day Pari removes her gloves and everything changes.

The plot is very different and amusing. There's a cliff hanger at the end because the book is part of a series.
The narration is steady, continuous and has a tinge of suspicion from the starting itself.
The language used is plain and lucid. I love the way the tale has been described, while reading I could actually imagine the scenarios in front of me and that is the feature of a great book.
It's a short read and can be completed in one sitting.
The cover is very beautiful, attractive and makes sense.
I really really liked the title of the book
Cryptic - mysterious
Clutch - grasp
So it is very creative and thoughtful.
The protagonist of the story Pari is a round character, but other characters haven't been given that freedom and they sort of fall flat for me.

This book itself started in a mysterious way, owing to the fact, 'more mysterior it got as the pages turned'. It kick started with a preganant women waiting for her labor. Then the plot got fast forwarded for 13 years timeframe.

Here, the baby girl, Pari is leading her life with her grandmother. She was told her mother got killed in an accident. She was not having the best of her school life due to her peculiar character(wearing gloves) as it resist her from getting into her ownself(witch). Her school life and the difficulties faced by her were very well explained. Each event took place in the book made me feel that i was a part of the event. Basically, the book was very well written, with all the details clearly described.

The book has got a lot of suspenses and secrets which can be a solid foundation for the second book(part). The bond between her and her grandma definitely create an impact in us. The locality and nature of their place of stay were so real to imagine. This part ended with Pari starting out on her way along with her guardian angels to avenge the death of her grandma.

The cover of the book was so aesthethicly created revealing the mystery, magic, beauty the book hold within it. The title as well suits the book aptly. The author has chosen an easy, lucid language to depict, which made it easier to understand. The depiction was all on point keeping us focused on the book.

I personally felt that the book could have been a single large book insted of being a many part 100 pages book. I am not sure how many part the book has. The author has build huge suspense over the book, waiting eagerly to find out how the mysteries are going to be revealed in the upcoming book.

Young Pari had a power that is not something accepted in a positive way, so she and her grandmother have no other option left, but move. Pari, a 13 year old, lives with her grandmother and goes to school in conoor.
With the entry of some people, and Uninvited events things change and she loses her beloved one. That's what gives a kick to the story.

I really love the connection the characters have with each other, especially Pari and Kalpi, her grandmother. The characters are well brought up.

The book kept me hooked uptill the very last page, with events that are heart wrenching and emotional. The story had it's own unique suspense, and events that were so good.

The language used by the author is simple, and the narration is so neatly done. The book moved in a fast pace, and there were some events that I wish were a little bit longer.

The cover is eye catchy and will surely make anyone pick up the book and there won't be any regret.

Cryptic Clutch is a story of a girl, named Pari by her mother. It is made know in the first chapter that Pari has special powers and her mother is afraid that someone would exploit her powers. Then the book cuts to Pari who is now 13 years old, lives with her grandmother Kalpi in Coonoor.

Pari wears gloves all the time to not use her magical powers. Therefore she gets mocked and bullied by being called a “Freak”. And in this comes this Goth boy, named Nakul. He has vividly coloured hair, dark lipstick and is being called “Cool” by the bullies.

This was a very short book which lays the foundation of Pari’s background and how she has to learn more to use her powers rather than suppressing them. The cover is great and represents the upcoming journey that Pari must undertake. The writing and dialogues were crisp and they correctly portrayed what the author must have wanted.

Review -
The cover of the book is well designed and the title is perfect to the story.
The plot is mysterious, emotional and interesting. The author has perfectly narrated the school life of Pari. It seems that he has depicted all the emotions from the core of his heart. I liked the bonding between Pari and Kalpi too much. Language used is very simple and flowing. Characters are portrayed well.
It is the suspense which hooked the readers till the end which is maintained very carefully.
Awaiting it's next part.
Overall, a nice read.

A book with a beautiful and mysterious cover design.
Pari and her mysterious power which she is unaware of but her grandmother Kalpi is keeping her safe from the those who hunt Pari for her powers.
Because of Pari's unusual power they bound to run from one place to another , one city after another until one day Kalpi's protection comes crumbling down as the hunters have found them. She fights with all her might to protect Pari but now Pari have to fight her own battle and find the truth behind her powers and everything else.
The suspense kills as every page turns out to be more mysterious and no hint of what might have happened. It's such a adrenaline rush and that's what gives this story the edge to keep it's reader hooked.
As it is the first book , information have been withheld which might be revealed in book 2 , which makes me excited for next part.
It has suspense , magic , action and loads of emotions. The emotional connections between characters are really good.
Language is simple and lucid. Narration is the strong point of this book with a good pace.
Will Pari ever find out , why she has these powers? Will she ever find out what happened with her grandmother? Who is Nakul? These questions linger around while reading this book.
Overall it is something I love reading. A great experience.

Adventure with mystery.

Pari, a little girl along with her granny, whoo she called Kalpi, is on the run. They do not stay at a place for long. They keep changing cities and avoid people. Pari sense a very power inside her. Her hand is mysteriously powerful and she do not have an answer to it.

A short, stout and amazing read. The title is catchy and cover, attractive. The best part of the book was it's short chapters. It was a quick read and one can finish it up in single sitting. I loved the writing style and narration. It's easy to understand. From the blurb, it seems to be a children book, but it is an adventurous and mysterious journey of a little girl. Well, the on a positive note, this is the first book in the series. I'm eagerly waiting for the second book.

If you are a fictional mystical lover than go for this book . You won't regret.

Story start when a pregnant woman named Maya give birth to a girl named pari and after that story shift where pari is 13 years old.

Story revolves around Pari and her power, problem, secrets. Pari lived with her grandmother Kalpana whom pari call kalpi.

Due to her power/problem/unique features whatever you can call she and her grandmother couldn't stay at one place for long time.

With Nakul's entry this book becomes more interesting and deeper and emotional.

If you pay attention while reading then you release Story taught us it's useless if you run from your problems/ weakness it's better if you face them.

So what happened to her mom??
How she overcome from her problem?
What role Nikhil play in her life?

To know more read the book.

Author portrait pari and her grandmother relationship very well.

Story go with a rush. It would be good if author give details in next parts.

Writting style of author is very lucid and narration is perfect.

This book is for every age group.
