Org Mode Compact Guide Release 9.3

Rate this book
Org is a mode for keeping notes, maintaining TODO lists, and doing project planning with a fast and effective plain-text system. It is also an authoring and publishing system, and it supports working with source code for literal programming and reproducible research.

This document is a much compressed derivative of the (org)comprehensive Org mode manual. It contains all basic features and commands, along with important hints for customization. It is intended for beginners who would shy back from a 200 pages manual because of sheer size.

A very short but good introduction to what Org Mode can do, with plenty of practical examples. I am a long-time Emacs user but have been skeptical as to how useful Org Mode really is. It is always best to try things yourself, but with anything Emacs, it isn't really as quick and easy as using some other GUI tools. With this compact guide, you get a good idea as to what Org Mode offers in just 40 or so pages. I would recommend people start with this guide if you are interested in one of the most popular tools that Emacs has to offer.
