These 29 chapters of Seeking In Every Life Experience use Karen's own personal stories, prayers and penetrating questions to guide the reader to their own meaningful reflections. Readers will revisit and reframe life experiences using the four dimensions of reflection--thinking back, inward, outward, and finally forward. It is Karen's hope that the processes outlined in this book will guide readers to reflect on the significant events or seasons in their own life and inspire readers to begin writing their life stories. May this work be a catalyst for many more legacies of faith.

Seeking Silver in Every Life Experience, is an absolute pleasure to read. Karen's honesty about her personal journey is beautifully written and amazingly enough I could identify with her even though she humbly presents her own perspective - which was humorous, challenging and uplifting! I couldn't put the book down and read it in one sitting. However, unlike other 'stories', Karen structures the book to be used by the reader to deepen personal understanding of how God works in each of our lives - ultimately for the good. I have found her reflections in 'your story' guided me to speak to my soul to open myself to hear God speaking HIs truth during some difficult times in my life. I particularly appreciated the prayer section in enabling me to speak to God about those parts of my life that I explored. Karen has definitely been blessed as a writer, teacher and guide to witness to others about the powerful impact of prayer has had on her life and she invites us to share in that experience to see how the Goodness of God is woven in all circumstances.

Some would say this is a memoir, but I say it is so much more. This moving collection of true stories based on the life of author Karen Barnstable, has a brilliant twist. Each story invites the reader to allow memories and look inward allowing the transformation that introspection encourages. We can then take our own experiences as Karen so beautifully emulates in her writing, to reframe our own struggles, lessons learned, and suffering to think beyond our small world—outward. How might our story gain perspective and purpose? Or as Karen so eloquently pens…to show “the silver threads of God” woven into the fabric of our lives in order to help others. And lastly, this book encourages the process of ever moving forward motivating us to live and share our legacy of faith. I absolutely loved this book as an added touch to my devotional time, and highly recommend this inspirational read.

Have you ever considered writing your memoir to leave your valuable legacy? Karen Barnstable did and it’s captivating. We all have life stories that have taught us profound truths and need to be captured and then passed down through the generations. Karen’s stories are honest and everyone of us can identify with her frustrations, trials but also her heart-felt victories. Every chapter stops at a pivotal point to focus on God with a prayer. Her book is called SEEKING SILVER and each chapter ends with a challenge to the reader to seek their own silver by thinking backward/thinking inward/thinking outward and thinking forward. After you’ve read the first two chapters you won’t be able to put it down.

I have enjoyed reading Karen's life story and the journey's God has taken her through. So many of her stories I can relate too. Her four dimensions of reflections have changed my study and reading habits; even when examining and researching Gods word. We should all seek God's perspective in our lives and this book is a perfect tool to accomplish this. Karen's book is a very good read.

A beautiful memoir focussing on pivotal chapters in the life of the author, Karen Barnstable, and "how the silver threads of God had designed a purpose and plan" throughout. She encourages the reader to pause and reflect at the end of each nugget, to consider our own stories and how we might learn and grow by thinking back, inward, outward, and forward. Peppered with heartfelt prayers and Bible verses, this was an honest, warm reflection written to inspire others to contemplate leaving a legacy of their own.
