The second edition of this introductory volume on Valentine's Day provides historical context for the holiday as well as identifying St. Valentine, and describing customs and symbols typically associated with it. As in the other Holiday Histories series books, readers learn about why the day is significant. Large photographs fill the pages alongside the small amounts of text.
