Claiming that there are "stories" to be found almost everywhere in the countryside, naturalist Falkus interprets--using hundred of photographs--the tracks, traces, and trails made by animals in their environments
A great old book. The author really does a great job of getting across his enthusiasm for nature and successfully planting the seed (for me anyway) of inquiry through the reading of tracks. I credit this book with starting my interest in the whole feel of nature observation and tracking.
I loved it and it's certainly an all time favorite of mine.
