Bad boy ISO someone to make me behave. Punishments welcome. Strict Daddy Dom necessary. Will consider a pair.
When Champ reads the ad on the internet, the dragon shifter is immediately intrigued and contacts the boy who wrote it. When a quick phone conversation leads to the boy sharing his address, Champ heads over, unhappy that a boy would not only leave his phone number on the internet, but then just give out his address. When he knocks on the door, he’s ready to show this boy exactly what kind of punishments he can mete out.
Stephen would like to be a boy, but he’s been burned, and badly, in the past, so he’s not in the lifestyle anymore. All that changes when he answers the door and meets Champ. It doesn’t matter that Champ was expecting to meet Stephen’s roommate Marc, the big Daddy falls for Stephen immediately and insists that while there was an initial mix-up, Stephen is the one he’s actually there for.
Patience, kink, and confidence may not be enough for this Daddy to win his boy over, but add in the magic of love and dragons and it’s a whole other story.
Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and persuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."
A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.
Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.
I love the idea of this book but I think the plot got lost in the sex. I get the idea that dragons are insatiable and that all that sex helps to build the magic with their mate but there were times that I wanted to say stop for two seconds and get on with the story. Also, one minute Stephen is all worried about his friend and then totally forgets he wants to check up on him. I still like the underlining plot of finding your perfect mate in an unplanned way so I give this a three but I wanted a bit more story with my sex.
I love a good Sean Michael book so saying this is sad but this one unfortunately fell very short for me. There was no story at all, and I was looking forward to the dragon perspective of the supernatural world. Instead there was only pages of pages of pages of sex, no character building or plot.
It was a cute book but it was predominantly physical. While that can be a fun and a steamy read, at same time I wasn’t looking for that when I started this one. You learn very little about the characters during the course of the story except that they have amazing physical chemistry. I was looking for so much more when I read the description I thought it would be a sweeter and more involved in helping Stephen overcome his past hurts and moving towards a better future with Champ. There is little discovered about the past and no real help beyond the physical relationship. That said they were an adorable couple with so much promise that I feel personally missed the mark for me. Others may feel differently though so read with that in mind.
Stephen is the first book in the Boy ISO series by Sean Michael. I really liked it. The heat level is high in this one. Stephen and Champ are amazing together. They are sweet and sexy
I tried really hard to enjoy this but the stream of consciousness of the main characters had my head spinning. Half the time I kept getting lost in whose POV I was in and the other half of the time I kept reading the same thing repeated over and over again. The sex was good but went on for pages and pages. I hit 46% and Daddy still hadn't revealed his true nature. When I threw up my hands in wonder it was time to move on.
Also the whole rommmate Marc thing was bizarre.
KU, urban fantasy, paranormal, book in series, standalone, MM, dragon shifter, artist, student, age gap, fated mate
Okay, I'm not rating this because I didn't read over 50% of it because I was madly scrolling hoping there would be SOME evidence of plot. (I knew to a point was I getting but I was hopeful.) It started with potential. A Daddy Dom Dragon (henceforth known as DDD) saw an ad for someone looking for a Daddy Dom and goes to the apartment apparently to teach the kid that it's dangerous to just give your address out to anyone. He meets the roommate and is smitten (mate thing). He convinces the guy to go for coffee and before long are back at DDDs apartment getting jiggy. Stephen has issues as he was told he sucks as a sub by 3 doms ganging up on him so is not sure this will work but is bowled over by a combination of filthy rich DDD and magic. His friend is PISSED as he feels Stephen stole his dom, so DDD gets his best friends/lovers to take on the brat while he and Stephen have sex and more sex, and more sex and more sex and maybe they eat an egg roll but barely because they are having more sex and more sex. And ... you get the picture. "I'll show you the room you can set up your studio in after we eat". Okay, that's cool I'd like to learn more about Stephen's fabric art. A week later "Can I see the room". Yeah, because you got sidetracked boinking AGAIN. What about the friend, what about revealing your dragon status. Stephen just kind of shrugs it off and it's never mentioned again.
And what really annoyed me is the guy says "I live in apartment 8A" and six paragraphs (not chapters or pages - paragraphs) DDD stands in front of 46A and knocks. Sigh. I'm ranting now because I can usually let that slide. So I'm not rating it because if 200 pages of sex and 25 pages of plot are what you are in the mood for, it's perfect, but I need a bit more substance to my romance.
Stephen has had a bad run of relationships down to the last few even making him feel as if it was his fault and that there is something wrong with him. When a stranger shows up at his apartment demanding that he is his Daddy Stephen is confused but there is no denying the attraction he feels to the man. Can Stephen take a chance and open his heart or are the walls around it too thick now?
This is a sweet story about finding love and fighting to keep it with a bit of the paranormal thrown in. Stephen is a wonderful young man and he has gone through such pain because of others yet he is still fighting. He still has lots of love to give to the right man and Champ might just be the right person. I enjoyed watching their relationship build and the trust that they grow makes for a nice read. The two are good together and I would love to see some more from this world. It would be nice to delve into the characters back stories in more depth. The attraction between the two was a beautiful thing to see. The two have an intense need for each other and this book shows us how they connect sexually and mentally. Stephen and Champ’s story is a wonderful start to this new series.
Stephen is your typical needy sub who's been unlucky with his 3 previous Doms and believes he's just not good at being a sub. Champ is a Daddy and immediately knows this boy is his.
I love reading PNR and there is a PNR aspect to this but I personally would have loved there to have been more of this in the story.
The plot of this is based around Stephen and Champ beginning their relationship and has ALOT of sex between them. The characters are well written, and I truly liked the secondary parts with Champ interacting with his friends.
Heads up: if you don't like the use of the title Daddy in BDSM style couples don't read this.
This one was a fun read, just wondering if there are more books out in this book series yet, or did i manage to stumble across something new????? Kind of want to know what happened to his friend and the other two dragons that were taking the 'bad one' on?....... Since we didn't get to here anything more on his status on him. The two roommates didn't even speak to each other again after the one through his tantrum... Otherwise loved it, just too many questions left open.......
Received an arc of this book and i really enjoyed it i thought the relationship between champ and Stephen was so sweet and the steam was off the charts so if you love your books steamy i can highly recommend this the only negative is that i would have loved more of champs dragon side other than that great book

I was intrigued, so I dove in, took a chance. For the most part, I wasn't disappointed. I really like the characters & story. I look fwd to 2nd book, hoping to get more into the dragony stuff, could've used more in this book. This was good, but I felt it could've been more, better, too. Hopefully the series continues & we get the more I'm craving.
I loved this book, just read it through in one sitting from cover. Magical creatures, sub and Daddy, compatibility, love and so much care. A perfect relaxing read with little angst and just enough plot
I enjoyed reading this book--it reminded me of the Found trilogy in the Hammer series. I liked the paranormal aspects of the story and I thought it was light with low angst. Waiting for the next in the series.
This is a brilliant start to a new series, I liked how they meet by accident and Champ has to work hard to get Stephen who has had a few bad experiences with other Doms.
Stephen by Sean Michael was given to me in exchange for an honest review. I haven’t read many shifter books in general but I have to say I enjoyed this one. Stephen, roommate to Marc, who put an ad on the internet for a daddy with their phone number, answers the door to Champ who was ready to punish his boy for endangering himself by giving out their address. Champ, a dragon and Daddy sees Stephen and is instantly drawn to him. As Stephen explains the mix up and how he was not interested in being anyone’s boy because of past experiences. Champ can feel their connection and that Stephen is his mate and will not give up easily. This story was enjoyable watching Stephen overcome his self esteem issues and learning to trust again as Champ is with him all the way. The only issue I had was the past trauma was revealed (bad doms) but it never felt like it was resolved, mentioned then forgotten. Overall wonderful story and looking forward to the next installment.
