Plummet is about a little flying frog who once had a big happy smile, but then one day he lost his smile, because he could not fly. Plummet then makes friend with a little flying frog called Be-bop who tries to get him to climb a tree, but plummets to scared to tell him he cannot fly. Then his little friend takes him to a part of the woods where the trees were really tall and other frogs were gliding around. Plummet climbs up the tree and jumps off and he can glide down! Plummet finally got his smile back! This is a great book for self-belief, that you can do anything if you believe in yourself and have a go.

This book is a great way of showing children that you can learn a lot of important things from your peers. Smiling can also make the world of difference to your attitude throughout the day. As well as this, children can learn that trying really hard at something always has a beneficial outcome of some sort. The colours and illustrations are bright and interesting meaning children are gripped and find the pictures and story funny. I will definitely be reading this book in my future teaching practice.
