Cash, Kelly's son has returned from the Marines with his guard dog Wicked. He is running for Senator and is very busy with that but first he is getting married!! Kelly is thrilled!! Cash's ring bearer is his dog Wicked!!

Sheriff Mike, Kelly's husband, is thrilled also-but suddenly gets some very bad news--there are suddenly drugs in their little town. There had never been any there before! He works with the Superintendent of Schools to try and find out who is selling drugs to middle school children! Then he gets even worse news--a guy he helped put away is now free and living in their town with his cell mate.

Cash is in Hawaii on his honeymoon but is called back by a friend when Kelly sets herself up as bait in defiance of Mike!! Rebel. Kelly's dog has already ascertained that there are drugs in the collars of one of the dogs in the dog park.

I love the solution the town has adopted to stop the children from obtaining drugs--it almost had the drug dealers heading to another town-if it wasn't for revenge on one of their minds. I really love how these two dogs team up to catch the culprits and free Kelly!

This one will keep you on your toes for sure and reading from beginning to end. If course the recipes at the end sound really good as well!!

I loved this book. It was a clever idea for a story involving dogs. The bad guys were bad and the targeting of kids at school was scary because it’s something that could really happen and probably does. I always love these characters and like to know how their life is going. I feel like I know them.

If you like audiobooks instead of reading, you will like this one. It’s a great book and I really got into the story. The narrator was ok. There were parts where she sounded just like a computer reading it. But other parts she was great. The narration was good enough it didn’t take away from the story.

Another Great Cozy Mystery in this Series

“Kelly & the Dog Park” by Dianne Harman is another great addition to the Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series. The story opens with the trial of John Abrams for burglary. Now, Abrams is about to be released from prison and he wants revenge against Sheriff Mike Reynolds of Cedar Bay for putting him behind bars for six years. His cellmate, a drug dealer, has a scheme that will earn them money plus take care of the sheriff. They’ll use dogs to transport the product and the exchanges will take place at dog parks. They intend to target middle school students.

Last minute preparations are under way for the wedding of Kelly’s son, Cash. Cash is a vet who served in Afghanistan and is running for state senator. Cash’s dog, Wicked, is going to be the best man.

Shortly after the sheriff learns about a drug problem in middle schools, plans are put into place to patrol the areas around the schools. A student dies from an overdose. The search for the drug pushers intensifies.

While Cash is on his honeymoon, Kelly takes Wicked to the dog park, and she witnesses an unusual exchange of dogs between two men. Then the sheriff receives the delayed news that Abrams has been released. Kelly comes up with a scheme to capture the drug dealers. Can the drug ring be stopped before more children die?

This is another captivating read in the Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery series. The author has expertly blended the heartache of drug abuse, mystery, a happy wedding, and protective dogs into a tale with engaging recurring series characters and vicious villains. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well-written, cozy mystery.

I enjoyed this light hearted cozy mystery. This story is very much centred around Kelly and her family and unusually you know who is behind the drug dealing right from the start but it s fun listening to them work it out. The plot idea was clever and I have no idea how the author comes up with the ideas to be one step ahead of the law but it very interesting. The characters and the dogs are fun and I love listening about Kelly's adventures fighting crime.
Kelly's son, Cash is getting married, so it is not wounded that a memo about a prisoner getting released slips past her husband Mike, the sheriff. But this has big consequences for the small town of Cedar Bay as the released prisoner swear revenge on the man who put him away for ten years. Can Kelly, Mike and Rebel put a stop to his plan befire the young children of Cedar Bay pay the price?
I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job with the voices

I have read all the books in this series and enjoy them very much. I like all the characters. In this book Kelly’s son Cash gets married and is running for senator. Drugs becomes a problem aiming at Middle school youngsters. The book focuses on how Sheriff Mike, the Superintendent of school, principals of the middle schools, the local doctor, and his wife the psychologist along with Cash all help to squash the drug dealers. Unlike in past books the murder is a young middle schooler who overdosed with drugs. Finding the drug dealer meant finding the killer. The one partner in the drug dealing business also has a vendetta against Sheriff Mike because the Sheriff is the person who sent him to jail. This young man decides to go after Kelly instead. All ends happily and like in all her books, Rebel with Wicked help save Kelly. This is book #19. I have #20 already waiting for me.

Audiobook: I was entertained by this story. I enjoyed the preparations as Kelly and Mike got ready for Cash's wedding. I waited with bated breath for the retaliatory actions against Mike and his family. I applauded Kelly's grit as she forced herself to do the right thing even though it was hard for her. I liked Chris Kenworthy's narration as her performance added to my enjoyment of the story. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Back to visiting with Kelly and Cedar Bay. Kelly's son Cash is to be married but an influx of drugs into the middle schools has Mike worried for the children and his own reelection.
I really love my visits to Cedar Bay and love Kelly though in this one she is just a litle bit stubborn. Mike is very patient and I love them as a couple. I really enjoy seeing the dogs, and the staff at the coffee shop. Plus we get to see Doc again who I enjoy as a character.
Well written and a quick fast read.

Great story

As always I loved the book. This storyline was very interesting. I enjoyed it immensely. It gives out information and draws awareness to what is happening in the world today. I started sharing my books with my oldest grandson. I think this is definitely one I’ll share with him. Thanks Dianne Harman for this great topic.

I agree with Dianne that a dog park isn’t just a place that dogs could enjoy. However, I don’t think she meant this when she spoke at the City Council meeting. The bottom like is that we should be aware of what goes on around us like Kelly does. I enjoyed this story and recommend the book.

Ingenious plan

The felons had an ingenious plan but Wicked and Rebel were too much for them! All characters in her books are well developed. Now if those felons had just used their intelligence for good!

Interesting cozy

This was an interesting story in that a rather ingenious criminal enterprise was shown. Though it was easy to figure what happening very quickly so that part of mystery was over real quick. Still it was a fun read.
