In 1961 it won a Pulitzer Prize. The novel was praised for its sensitive treatment of a child’s awakening to racism and prejudice in the American South.

Classic

To think this book was banned in many countries, Harper Lee wrote an amazing story. I had the book in my library for so long and finally got round to read it. The story was written in the '60s and the same social injustices are still happening now in the 2000's ...
