This is a stunning addition to the Everglow Pack saga. It picks up where the third book ended. Please. Read the first three books in order. You will be glad you did. This is a vibrant world, filled with intriguing characters. I couldn't wait to read it.
Kyler's father, the Alpha of Southlake, was murdered by the brainwashed humans. Kyler was kidnapped. He knows his fated mate works at the hospital he's in, but he can't deal with that now. His grief is too new. Troy has known Kyler is his since they meet. As a psychologist, Troy knows his mate needs space to process all that had happened. He can be patient. But an obsessed alpha mucks up the works; threatening both Kyler's freedom and Troy's Human Initiative Project. Troy is helping the humans to adjust to life beside the wolves. The Everglow Pack takes care of its own. With the help of good friends, Kyler & Troy will find their HEA.
Buckle up. You are in for one wild ride of non- stop action. I couldn't put it down! I read it in one sitting. Oh, it sets up the next book. I am counting the days till it's release.

I did not read the other books in this series, but I will be going back to read them as I was a smidgen lost. Kyler lost his father to a terrorist attack. While in the hospital he finds his fated mate, but he can't deal with that right now. His grief is just too great. Troy isn't looking for a relationship as he is way overworked. He is also trying to get his Human Initiative Project off the ground and he needs the funding for it. Preston who is the alpha that is going to be taking over Kyler's pack and Kyler's fathers best friend, has decided that he is going to take Kyler as his mate. Kyler wants no part of that since he sees him as his uncle. Preston, the alpha that wants to mate Kyler, starts to play games. He puts Troy through hell to get this grant. We also find out exactly why Preston is so adamant about taking Kyler as a mate and of course it is not because he loves him as a mate. These two ran hot & cold throughout most of the book, but in the end they do get their HEA.

Coveted Mate is Book 4 in the Everglow Pack series and should be enjoyed in order. I love this book. Kyler, an omega, is so sweet and goes through so much, with being kidnapped and the lose of his father to finding his fated mate and being pursued by his father's best friend, Preston. Troy, an alpha and doctor, also goes through a lot. But Kyler and Troy find they really are better together. Troy helps the humans as they continue to recover and wants to make a place for them to be safe. This book is an emotional roller coaster that tugs on the heart strings but all is well in the end and I'm a little excited for the next book.
I highly recommend this book and series.

He'd saved my life and lost his in a vicious attack my father did what any parent would and now all I want is to go home. I don't even care about revenge or anything else along those lines.
Kyler wanted to concentrate on helping the pack heal from losing his father even so he decided to ignore something that had caught his attention while he'd been in the hospital.
Today Troy had to grit his teeth as he provided care to a human woman an her unborn baby as if he'd give her something that would hurt either of them.
And then as if he didn't have enough to deal with he ended up babysitting a screaming Meme threatening to castrate his mate yeah he'd realize later he probably be glad he didn't get a chance.
The minute Troy realized exactly what was going on there was absolutely no way in holy Hades he was allowing someone to take advantage of his fated one his blessed other half.
Kyler knew who he was the instant he recognized his scent from the hospital.
But there were surrounded by to many people and the noise he was having a hard time catching his breathe.
Troy knew he needed to control himself he was walking a very thin line and he was aware one wrong move and he could end up losing and that wasn't something he was willing to except.
Preston really thought I would just jump on his stupid crazy band wagon if he wined and dined me and oh kept trying to convince me my father decided to choice him exclusively for me but never said one word to me. Nope I'm not going to accept any of this I'm leaving this isn't my home anymore and low and behold the one man whom I need the most is here to make sure Preston gets out of my way.
But he hadn't expected Troy to drop him off at his friend's home and he just left.
Kyler knew he wasn't going crazy he'd been following me it doesn't even matter when he tried to deny it we both know the truth. Nevertheless I accidentally made the worst mistake by not keeping up with my meds and now I'm dying and he's the cure I'm desperate to have and
yeah things didn't go as planned and now will have to wait and see.
Preston is just creeping me out and he's still trying to convince me my father would make some kind of deal with him.
Troy should have known he wouldn't give up and simply go away just like he promised Kyler he'd always be there and no matter what he was going to
his man back....

Kyler's father just died in a tragedy and he is struggling to move on following his death. His father's best friend and right hand man, Preston, insures Kyler that he has a place in their pack. Except Preston doesn't really tell Kyler what his plans are in leading the pack, and Kyler doesn't find out until he's in front of the Supreme Alpha and other pack mates...when Preston announces he is going to talk Kyler as his mate. Kyler is outraged for not having heard of this until then, and Kyler's fated mate, Troy, even more so. Troy arrived to Kyler's town to try to get to know the Omega because he recognized all the signs that they were fated. But now with Preston trying to win Kyler's affection, and Troy being somewhat aloof, Kyler needs to figure out how to stand on his own two feet if he wants to find his HEA!

I was pretty disappointed in this book. Liam Kingsley is one of my favorite authors of shifter books, but I just did not like this book at all. I thought that Kyler was a great character, he had a big arc throughout the novel. However, Troy was seriously lacking. First, one of the things that bothered me so much was that he was a doctor and he was smoking. I found it so odd too how much Troy's smoking habits were portrayed in this book. Every time his character was on the page he practically came with a cigarette in his hand. I really just couldn't fathom how this hard-core, caring doctor who emphasized health in all his patients was over here smoking and withe the frequency he was doing it too. This was just something I could not get over, and at first I thought it was like a one-off, but Troy's cigarettes could have been a main character with how often they were mentioned and used. Second, his personality was so conflicting. He would jump back and forth in being emotional over Kyler but then completely giving him the brush off. It didn't make sense in what he was doing, I didn't like how he treated Kyler in the beginning; he was all over the place. So, unfortunately I would recommend skipping this read, this book was not for me. But, don't write Liam off completely, I've read many of his other books and have thoroughly enjoyed them!

Kyler Rowan’s father had been killed in an attack and the second-in-command, Preston, was now going to be the Alpha of Southlake. He said he would send their trusted Beta, Hylan, to pick him up at the hospital and bring him home. Dr. Troy Billings is Kyler’s fated mate, but Kyler has been avoiding him and now checked out. Troy’s best friend met him for lunch and talked to him about his snapping at people and how bad he was looking. He encouraged him to go to Kyler, comfort him over his father, and talk with him. Kyler needs him right now. Mikel told him Supreme Alpha Hughes and Cas invited him to go with to the induction ceremony for the new Alpha of Southlake. Troy could come with him and ask the alpha about funding for his facility so the psychologically damaged could get long-term care. And he could see Kyler while he was there and check how he was doing.

When the new alpha Preston wants Kyler on the induction ceremony platform, standing beside him, he is uncomfortable. But when he announced to the huge crowd that he was taking Kyler as his mate, Kyler shouted NO. This was is more than he is willing to give and he knows he can’t stay. Before he can say more, Troy pulls him away from Preston and he falls into Troy’s arms. Though he hardly knows Dr. Troy Billings who attended the ceremony, he is the one Kyler trusts to take him to safety. And he is aware that Troy is his fated mate. When Preston tries to take control of him again, the Supreme Alpha tells Kyler to go with Troy and Troy takes him to where Kyler feels safe.

But Preston is not willing to let Kyler go, regardless of his choice of his fated mate. Nothing will stop him. Can Troy keep his mate Kyler safe from the furious alpha?

Kyler is in a lot of pain after losing his dad. Not really sure how he will go on and stressed about being in the hospital, he naturally reaches out to the one man whom he thinks is his pack alpha support. Kyler is shocked to learn of the secret Preston has deliberately been hiding from him - to take him as his mate.

Troy - a doctor and true mate - had to tread lightly as to not lose his mate. Especially since Ky did not really believe in such a thing but was willing to give all this a chance. took Kyler and ran away to his hometown of Everglow. Fighting alongside his mate to stay together, and protect their baby.

Preston - the new alpha apparent of Southlake - left the impression his only intentions were to look out for the young omega. In hindsight, its clear that was not the case. A determined pain in the butt, he is a dominant and adamant figure who is determined not to take NO for an answer. What levels will this alpha stoop to and get what he wants?

This story was full of angst, heartbreak, lies, deceit, love and the search for that HEA.

I've read a few books by Kingsley and while it was still a good addition to the series - overall - it was not at the top of my favorites list. However, I would still recommend to others.

Good continuation. Picks up where previous story left off. Tough way for Kyler to have to grow up. Kyler was trying to keep it together considering his Dad, his Alpha James' death. Hylan, his dad's Beta, came to break him out of the hospital. Preston, his Dad's friend, whom he called Uncle P was solicitous but kept Kyler imprisoned. At the ceremony to name him Alpha of Southlake, Preston declares he's taking Kyler as his mate. Meanwhile, Dr Troy was exhausted working double shifts since his caseload doubled. He had his own practice but now the rescued humans needed care too. He went to Southlake for the induction ceremony & to try to get in good draces of the uprising Alpha, Preston. Then Preston announces he's taking Kyler, Troy's mate as his mate. And the intrigue continues. Troy stepped up coming to Southlake. Does he have it in him to fight for his Omega, Kyler? What does Kyler want? He's been babied and suppressed all his life. Will he take the final steps to enter manhood? How committed is Preston? Will this sew discourse between Southlake and Everglow. Great story, a little more low key than the previous but many questions answered, more raised. This story has a slightly different tone. Characters still hilarious. Nicely done! This book was a major disappointment. I’ve liked the previous books that these authors have published, but this one just bombed for me. Throughout the book, Kyler is accused of being a diva and yet there was only one instance (at 94% of the way into the story) that I would have pinpointed any of his actions as being diva-like. Instead, this character was sweet and did everything he could to avoid making waves, or drawing attention to himself - sort of the exact opposite of a diva.

And then there was Troy. Yes; he grew up in a home that was very cold and reserved, but it wasn’t like he had absolutely no role models, or examples of loving adults in his life. In fact, he claimed that those role models had saved his life and that he had patterned himself on their examples; and yet somehow, those people apparently had no impact on his personality and coping mechanisms so far as I could tell. Troy was a jacka$$ through a good 90% of this book, and I didn’t buy his redemption. He was a jerk, Preston was a jerk, and Kyler was well enough off on his own.

I hope that Hylar (who is honorable and loyal) and Jeri’s book turns out better than this debacle did.

These two talented authors have written another splendid addition to the “Everglow Pack” series & it is an intriguing MM shifter romance but I would really suggest that you read the books in sequence to fully understand the underlying story-line. The plot is interesting with some completely unexpected situations/events. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The unique characters are quite likable with good chemistry although they are slightly confrontational towards each other & display believable emotion feelings.
There is:) the new alpha (Preston Lanes) of “Southlake” declares that James’s son (a male omega, Kyler Rowan) is to be his mate but Kyler rejects him & leaves with his fated mate (a alpha wolf shifter, Dr. Troy Billings) but Preston is determined to claim Kyler, twists & turns, drama, intrigue, suspense, deceit, secrets, pack politics, wolf shifters, rogues, humans, fated mates, heat issues, attempted blackmail, confrontations, threats, disagreements, devious plans, abduction, manipulations, vulnerability, surprises, some steam, contentment & a happy conclusion for this couple with a very interesting ending. I enjoyed reading this MM shifter romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

Who and where is Kyler? Who are James, Preston, Hylan, Mikel, Roland, Troy, Jeremiah, Helen, and Debbie? Where do we find all these different folks? When Preston's ceremony is being held by the Supreme Alpha, what does Preston say, or do that causes an uproar and for Kyler to have a panic attack? We see a heck of a particular brand of crazy in this story that we've not seen in previous books. Some things make sense as to 'maybe' why we see the crazy that we're seeing, the underlying motives, but some things get taken too far in my thoughts, and not far enough in other areas. The ending felt really abrupt to me, almost as if in the middle of writing, the author took a break and didn't get it finished, but regardless..... I look forward to the next book in the series as I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these so far.

Kyler is ready to leave the hospital and participate in his father’s funeral. He has to leave the hospital and his fated mate Troy Billings, the Dr in the psychology department, who also says he is Kyler’s fated mate. Kyler isn’t a big believer in fated mates, but is willing to see where it all goes, but after he participated in the service for his father.

Preston is to be the new alpha of Kylers pack, but in his acceptance speech,he declares that Kyler and he will be mated. Kyler is adamant that there is no way he will marry him. He leaves Southlake with Troy and moves to Troys town in Everglow where he settles into his new life and gets a job and an apartment to prove he can do it without an alpha to depend on.

Preston refuses to listen to Kyler in saying that they will be mated and tries all in his power to make Kyler toe the line, he even has Ky kidnapped and locked in his home. Troy fights for Ky and their baby and they eventually have their happily ever after.

Sweet Fated Mates...

This story in the series of fated mates as soooo good. I really enjoyed reading about the diva omega Kyler as well as his fated alpha doctor Troy. They were introduced to us in the last book in the series. Kyler had a some tragedy in his life and he was lucky to have his friends, his pack but most of all Troy around to help him through his grief. He also coming to terms with the fact he has discovered his fated mate in Troy. Troy is use to his solidarity life and not sure what he will do with love and a fated mate. The two try and keep their distance somewhat but the pull is too strong. They both realize they need each other and it was so lovely reading their budding/developing romance. The times when they are one on one were so sweet and steamy, revealed a lot about each other...they got differences but they are perfectly matched. I loved the ending and the next match up in the series.

Wow, Coveted Mate still has me spinning. This story is full of heartbreak, love, pain, awkwardness, fear, friendship, uncertainty as the character navigate finding their heart.

Kyler and Troy's relationship is a struggle from the beginning. Because of their past, neither of them truly understands what it is to be in love so to find each other during a painful time makes things so confusing.

Kyler has just lost his dad and realizes that he is not prepared to be on his own. Add his Uncles' unusual behavior toward him is, and he has found his mate, Kyler is overwhelmed. Troy's past is not simple, those who were to love him were cold and distant, because of this he never saw relationships in his future. Kyler and Troy made a lot of mistakes, not sure who to trust even sometimes themselves, but even then they still did not stop trying to make it work.

I loved this story, it is really heart warming and caring. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Kyler losing his dad the way he did is just heartbreaking and Kyler is really struggling to come to terms with what happened. When Troy, who I just adored, makes it known that Kyler is his mate neither of them is prepared for what that means and, to be fair, neither wants the upheaval that a mate will bring, but that bond is something that is truly inescapable, no matter how hard you run. The two are true opposites but seem to compliment each other so well. Kyler goes back to his pack where his dad's best friend is taking over as lead Alpha only the man who Kyler has called Uncle his whole life has his own plans for Kyler, ones that Kyler is definitely not on board with. The tale gets tangled and mistakes are made, lies are told and emotions run wild. Fabulous characters and a story line that was both fun and entertaining makes this one book I will definitely recommend to my friends.

I enjoyed this story, but it's rather different than the preceding books in the series. The war with the humans is over, and now it's time for recovery and reconstruction. Although there is still a little suspense and drama, it is more of a person-to-person nature, rather than the dropping of bombs and mass attacks. I have to be honest and say I really disliked Troy and the way he treated Kyler for the first half of the book. He behaved mostly like an arrogant playboy, only caring about his fated mate when anyone else got too close to him. At first, he's nothing like the smitten, devoted Alphas of the first 3 books, although he does redeem himself by the end. Secrets, lies, and hidden truths mar the road to Troy and Kyler's happiness. They both have to learn to open up to each other if their their love is going to succeed.

H.O.L.E. 2.1

Full Disclosure: I could not get past chapter eighteen.

After the awesome opening book, great follow up and then good third book I had “high, high hopes” for this one (thank you Panic at the Disco!), but no.

It began with cover art. I really prefer the first two, but that is neither here nor there.

I started this book no less than five times; I really wanted to get lost in Everglow again. I am calling it quits. I am pretty sure there is a HEA, so no need to push on.

Neither character was particularly likable and Troy’s issues from his mother made him—a therapist—seem like a jackass.

The plot was thin and very drawn out. Events were either rushed or mind numbingly long

I will read book five, but will hopefully be able to Kindle Unlimited it first. This series is no longer an automatic buy.

Without giving away to many spoilers in this wonderful story i just want to say that i truely loved this book, although sometimes i just wanted to smack Troy for not giving Kyler more attention and as for Kyler even though he was a bit of a diva, i really liked that he was smart.
Troy is doctor at the hospital and first found that Kyler was his mate, but he is very busy and takes his time to go and actually see Kyler. Troy also comes across as hard and rude at times but when it comes to Kyler he is different.
Kyler, his father is now dead and when he is told he is another mans mate he leaves, but when he goes home, the new Alpha has changed everything and it becomes apparent that he wants kyler, So when Troy comes to see him he goes home with Troy but its a slow burn love between them both.

This story is really worthwhile reading, it was great to go back to Everglow

Kyler has been sheltered all his life, he is now suffering after a tragedy but is keeping all his feelings locked inside. Troy is a very dedicated doctor who does not have time for relationships. Upon first sight, Kyler and Troy know they are fated mates but they have too much going on in their personal lives so they try to deny it. After a LOT of back and forth they finally realize they belong together and accept love and HEA.
There was some great emotional depth, passionate sexy times, supportive friends, a sick, twisted, manipulative character I wanted to smash, but I found Kyler to be way too immature for most of this book and between the wishy washy attitudes, editing errors, and the keeping secrets, it ruined the story for me.

Liam Kingsley is in my top 5 of amazing m/m authors he always has gorgeous covers on his books, I loved Kyler’s and Troy’s story. Kyler was in the hospital recovering after humans and rogue shifters killed his father he had smelt his fated mate but Kyler wasn’t interested all he wanted to do was go back to his pack and mourn his fathers passing not chase after his mate even though his wolf was howling to go and find his mate. Troy is a doctor at the hospital where he smelled his fated mate Kyler but before Troy had a chance to meet him Kyler took off so Troy is taking some time off to go to Southlake to go and claim his mate. That’s all I’m going to give you guys there is so much going on in this story I’m only just giving you a taste, this is a fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Kyler is surprised to scent his fated mate and shocked when the new pack alpha wants him too.
Omega Kyler Rowan survives the incident that kills his father the Alpha of the Southlake pack then at the hospital scents his fated mate. But mourning his father he want to go home. When the ceremony to replace his father with the man he has always known as Uncle P he has two shocks.The first that his fated mate is there and then Preston announces he will be mating Kyler who backs away stating no. Dr Troy Billings goes to the ceremony in the hope of seeing his fated mate but when the new Alpha states he is going to mate Kyler he automatically steps towards the podium.

In this Omegaverse, Kyler is the omega son of the alpha of a small, but important pack. For some reason no one wanted to claim Kyler and in previous books of the series he was sent to other packs to find a mate worthy of him. During the last attack by humans and deluded shifters against the established ruling system his father is killed and although Kyler found his fated mate he is too upset with the death of his father and runs away from him.
Back home he prepares for his father's funeral, when the former second-in-command tells him to be his mate. Torn between perceived duty, fear and longing for his mate he is in a bad situation.
An interesting story, well-written and entertaining for most parts.

Kyler and Troy may be fated mates but they each have so much to get over and to learn before they can actually give in to their feelings. It is definitely a very bumpy road for these two, especially with Preston wanting and going after Kyler. Troy and Kyler are so much better together but Troy has a really hard time accepting his feelings, much less express them. Kyler has a very hard time getting over his father's death and has no idea how to be open with Troy. It was nice watching them each unravel little by little throughout the story. They really need to learn to communicate!! The narrator did a great job with the story and with the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Kyler is still recovering from the accident and bombing that killed his father. He vaguely remembers Troy, a handsome doctor, who claimed to be his fated mate. His "uncle" Preston is acting very weird and is even trying to take him as his mate. Kyler refuses and lets Troy rescue him and take him back to Everglow. The traumatic events are making it hard to figure out what he wants, but he knows he wants to give Troy a chance. The characters are complex, resilient, and determined. The storyline is intense, suspenseful, and passionate. Great read.

This book was not quite as exciting as the previous books in this series as some of the big problems in this world have been dealt with. However that’s not to say it’s not a great book. It’s fun to read and I love this world with shifters as the main occupants of the world and humans as the underdogs.(Pun intended) It’s great to see how characters from the previous books are doing and you get some updates as well as the main story in this book.

Kyler has just lost his dad. He is in the hospital and in a lot of pain. He speaks with the new Alpha Preston. Preston is sending their trusted Beta Hylan to pick him up. Troy is a doctor at the hospital. Troy is Kyler’s fated mate. Preston is sneaky and tries to take Kyler as his mate, but Kyler says no. Troy takes him away to be safe and feel secure. I really enjoyed this story. Liam Kingsley has a way of weaving a fantastic storyline!!

Great Story 💜

This was a great storyline. From chapter 1 I was totally intrigued and couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the angst, and drama blended perfectly with a whole lot of love!
The narration was absolutely wonderful. This is my first book by this author as well as Guillaume Debois and IMO they are a brilliant combination.
MM Shifters are not my favorite genre but this author may have changed my mind. I’m looking forward to reading/listening to more in this series.
This is book 4 and can be read as a standalone.
