I volunteered for the auction to save my family. I knew what it meant, and was ready for what I’d be expected to do. But nothing could have prepared me for him.
He is as powerful as the stallions locked in his stables. His heart is as distant as a falcon flying over the horizon, searching for prey. He lives in a palace and wears royal robes, but make no mistake. This man is not a desert prince, but a beast.
That’s fine. I am not the innocent beauty I appear to be. I am a hunter. He owns the sand I walk on and the water I drink, but he will never own me. He may claim my body, but I will tame his heart.
I loved this story! The characters were balanced and well suited. Their chemistry was instant and spontaneous. The story delved into horses and hawks and I wish there would have been more about that.
Not your usual BWWM story. Story was mixed with elements of a historical story set in modern times. Can't recall what country they're in but there are palaces and royalty. Main character is strong , intelligent, black woman who sells herself to make life better for her poor family. She's bought by Prince that is out of touch with his country's needs. Through lust turned to love they make discoveries about themselves and the country they love in. Changes are made and love and respect for all involved follows. Great book. Very original Will be following this author. I Recommended for all.
Searching for something to read and I can across this. This is a most read. In order to help her family the heroine was auctioned off. The man that brought her was the crown Prince. This story has a lot of 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥sex. It also has a touch of greed the large businesses getting richer (not caring about the quality only the quantity) while keeping the little business man down but the heroine figured out what they were doing. She may sure everyone was represented at the annual festival. Wonderful love story.
There was entirely too much coitus going on even though it did nothing to wane my interest and I thought at first that this was a historical romance until Aliyah stated that she can use a computer. This is the first book by Zaria Diamond that I have read; I looked to see if she had any other published books, but did not find any. I hope that she has more to come as I am interested in reading more from her.
I enjoy international love stories that includes biracial characters. Ahalya was a strong woman. She maintained her dignity regardless what she knew she would be displeased. Chase needed someone like Ahalya that could handle him. Good story. If can't handle erotic sexual sceens, do not read this book.
This is the first book in the "Auctioned by a Sheikh" series. Even though this was the first book, it seemed as if "Bought by the Sheikh" was written first even though it was the third in the series. I read it first but because it was very erotic with descriptive, graphic porn, I didn't intend to read the next books.
However, I had the others in the series and decided to read this one. This was was so much better. Yes, it had very erotic and descriptive sex, but it wasn't all there was to the book.
Ailayah was bought off the auction block by the Sheikh, Chase. There was more back story on Ailayah, therefore you understood why she auctioned herself. She was a strong, intelligent woman who used her abilities to not only impress Chase, but to help him also.
Plot development was better. In spite of her position, she discovered that there were those who only wanted to increase their power at Chase's expense with no regard for the poor in the country. She made the necessary corrections, in spite of no one believing her, to help Chase.
This one is worth reading if you can overlook the erotic jnpysex.
I read this book because it was about a black woman and an Arabian Prince. I didn't understand how she was sold to him as a slave and ends up marrying him. I had a hard time understanding the culture and what happened to his parents. Also there were too many sex scenes and not enough substance regarding the main characters.
This was good. I wished that there was a bit more drama (like her escaping) and of course I was wrong about Sybil. I thought she was really mean but she became nicer towards the end. Now, onward to the next one.
I loved this story. The attraction the characters felt for one another was instantaneous and never wavered. They had a rough road to their HEA but when it arrived I was certainly glad I’d waited it out! I would definitely recommend this book!
I enjoyed reading about Chase and Aliyah awesome journey to fall in love. I especially like all the directions and trials they went through to find their love and happiness.
Aliyah is selling herself as a slave in hopes to earn enough for her family to survive for the next year. She is hoping to go to a good master, planing to buy back her freedom after a few years. Chase is the bored prince of his country. He attends an auction thinking he'll put on a show of bidding a couple of times and then leaves. Once he sees the dark beauty in red those plans change. Aliyah enters the household not knowing what to expect. Her sharp wit gets her in trouble with Chase and with the house matron. It seems both find offense as she tries to open their eyes to the reality of life beyond the palace doors. Chase is definitely not a hero that I liked on first read. He is very arrogant and unaware of what goes on around him until it starts to affect him. He did grow on me, but it was deep into the book before I could see them together past the sex. I love Aliyah. She stays true to herself throughout the book. It is the interactions with the other characters that move the story to me. Another point that I liked in this story is that it does not harp on the fact that the heroine is black. It is mentioned a few times in a descriptive manner, but not put out there just to say it. Some writers seems to want to mention the color difference every other page. As if they don't trust the reader to remember it on their own. An intriguing story with a fast pace. I am looking forward to more from this author.
