All my life I've been moved by the struggle against oppression. This was partly the result of my parent's decision to escape from the tyrannical Islamic Republic of Iran in the early 1980s. Ever since, I have done my best to fight on behalf of innocent people subjected to violence. An opportunity after 9/11 allowed me to contribute to the fight against those responsible for the senseless killing of civilians.
After working for the Department of Defense and the CIA, I was inspired to write a series of espionage novels about Janusz Soltani, whose Polish mother and Iranian father immigrated to the United States to escape oppression. Through these tales of intrigue, I hope to both entertain and inform readers about terrorism, the dangers of radicalization, and the threats posed by regimes that support Islamic extremism. Unlike other stories in the spy novel genre, I explain what motivates the extremists by delving into history, ideology, and the world-view of their leaders. This is done to inspire you to conduct further research on this topic.

Operation Devil's Vengeance is a fast-paced thriller by American author M.J. Javani. The second book in the series sees the return of Janusz Soltan, an Iranian-American, who works for a secret American intelligence agency called Unit 81. Janus is a likable character with a few flaws who fights for his country. Parts of this novel gave me nightmares as it was so realistic! Thanks to the author for my paperback copy. I look forward to continuing with this series.
