An easy read. The lady Neverhartts come across as rather brash in their speech. They almost sound more like the gentleman - the males seem to be henpecked, but they give as good as they get.

Never Deceive a Bluestocking, Book 4 of The Neverhartts series, was about Lady Carolina "Carly" Neverhartt, the identical twin of Lady Christiana Neverhartt Brooks, Marchioness of Foxworth (neither were not known for having a benevolent temperament), and Lord Wesley Cox, the Earl of Sheffield, son of the Marquess of Richmond, and grandson and heir of the Duke of Pembroke, as well as the brother of Lady Penelope "Poppy" Cox.
Carly and her twin Chris were well-known for the mayhem they constantly wreaked, all with neither care for the destruction left in their wake nor the inevitable consequences of their actions. Chris was usually the instigator, while Carly, who truly preferred her books to the misadventures they got into, was usually the follower. However, sometimes Chris pushed Carly into making the decisions too, even though she was not truly comfortable doing so.
It was a well-known fact amongst the offspring of the late Earl and Countess of Seville that their parents had not been good people, let alone good parents. Their father had been a mean drunk and gambler, to the point he had emptied the family coffers. The Earl had also been slowly selling everything that would bring a good price. The Countess had been a negligent mother, caring more about travel, gowns, parties, and anything that would benefit her role in Society than for her son and daughters. When both parents died within days of each other, the five siblings were left destitute and had to find a way to survive, with the eldest, Billie, being forced to wed their father's very elderly, very vile godfather, the late Duke of Graystone, Zach's late uncle, who died on their wedding night, leaving Billie free to marry Zach for love instead of necessity.
After Billie married Zach, the twins' shenanigans still continued, to the point they were quickly getting out of hand. Zach, who had taken on the responsibility of his wife's four siblings, had no option but to send the unrepentant twins to finishing school in hopes of curtailing their dangerous schemes and for them to gain some maturity. With Billie's full support, Zach made the difficult decision to separate the twins by sending them to separate finishing schools, with Carly being sent to a school in Wales.
For several days after arriving in Wales, Carly, never having been away from her twin for any great length of time, was constantly homesick. However, she made a good friend in Poppy. They did everything together, but she still missed her twin and the rest of her family. Carly had spent two long years away from her family but, finally, her time at school was ending and she would be headed home. The first thing she determined to do was to hug each one of her siblings and their spouses.
Against his will, Wes had been put in charge of the Pembroke Academy of Music. He had always loved music and had dreamed of attending such a school but it was not his life goal to be in charge of one. Unfortunately, he was not given a choice.
When Carly learned about the school, she wanted to audition to be accepted as a student. After being "introduced" (she already knew him, but he wasn't aware of that fact) to Wes, she sat down and played her violin for him. When she had completed her musical piece, he informed her that she was not talented enough to gain admittance. Feeling defeated and questioning her abilities, she returned home.
Not long after the failed audition, Carly overheard Wes say he believed she was the best he had ever heard but, because she was a woman, he could not accept her application for admittance to the school. Armed with that knowledge that he had lied to her, Carly felt anger begin to burn in her. Determined that he needed to pay for causing her to doubt herself, Carly decided to confront him. During a visit with Poppy, Carly told Wes she knew about his lie and that the only way he could make things right was by becoming her violin tutor. When he refused, she quietly gave him a reason to change his mind. Realizing he had no alternative, he grudgingly agreed.
There was definitely a chemistry building between Wes and Carly, something that had the potential to blossom and grow. Wes had been feeling it from the first moment he saw her in his study. For Carly, the feelings were a bit terrifying, but they were also somewhat titillating as well. The more time she spent with Wes learning the violin, the stronger her feelings for him grew. But Carly didn't trust men, not even her brothers-in-law. She believed that all men were untrustworthy.
Unlike some of the previous books in the series, this one had a good deal of humor and a hint of smoldering passion that was yearning to be unleashed. The angst and drama were present as well. Other emotions such as fear of failure and disappointment were also highlighted throughout the story for both Wes and Carly. There was also a sexual tension and a barely hidden desire that had been missing in all the other books.
While this was one of the better stories in the series, there were still some parts that made it unworthy of five stars, as well as not being added to the Keeper for the Shelves collection.

This was a story of a young woman that has a dream to go to a music academy and learn more about music. When she tries to get admitted it has to be determined by a man that runs the academy. But he has preconceived ideas about her as she’s a beautiful young woman and denies her admission. But she goes to him and tells him to teach her himself to prove that she is talented. As he listens and teaches he he finds himself knowing he was wrong but also falling for the young woman. Now what will he do?

She wants to go to the school for music but he tells a lie and says she is no good. She is angry about it so she challenges him to teach her. Unfortunately he begins to fall for her. Will she get her wish and go to the school? Will she fall for him as well? Will there be a happy ending for both of them? See what happens

A book I loved from the first to last page . I read it in couple of hours . From all the sisters this was my favorite sister . She loves to play the violin and will do whatever it takes to became better at it . He was not expecting to fall in love with her but we can stop the heart fro what it wants .

Easy, quick read.
A story to while away an hour of a wet afternoon but too short to engage one fully - very little plot to recommend.

Another wonderful book that continues the series
This is another wonderfully written book, that has a clean plot, full of emotional twists and turns. The characters are all brilliantly crafted, and have great strength and courage to grab hold of their happiness.

Very good to listen to absolutely enjoy her books. 👍🏾 I would recommend this book.
