When your mother is named Honor, you have a lot to live up to.

Adam is the oldest of Honor’s six sons. He has been in love with Mercy Coffey since he was barely a teen. But the five years difference in their age keeps her from taking him seriously. She married Langston Barns, instead, and Adam is forced to honor her choice.

Fifteen years later, Mercy is now a widow with two precious daughters. Adam must wait the appropriate time for her to mourn her husband’s death before he dares to ask for her hand. Her husband was cruel and made Mercy forget her worth. How can Adam convince Mercy she is worthy of being loved?

Then, Ted Watson has his interests set on Mercy and is stepping in before her allotted mourning time is complete. Will Adam go against protocol to win Mercy’s favor before Watson? Will she slip through his fingers again? Or will Adam finally win Mercy’s heart and live the life he has always dream of with her?

It is very enjoyable seeing what the future held for the Children of the Lantern Series. Honor Featherstone's six sons have grown into young men and are moving into lives of their own. This is Adam and Mercy's story. Their story has been a long time coming and it contains a little bit of excitement and some danger as well. Family is what life is all about. Mercy moves into a new role in her life as a widow. Adam has loved Mercy his whole life. Age differences shouldn't matter. Children shouldn't matter. All he knows is he loves her. Will that be enough for Mercy? Can she come to terms with how she was treated in the past? Will their lives pass by each other or will they somehow connect. This is a fantastic new series. I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.

I have been looking forward to this new/continuing series by Lynn Donovan. Adam is the oldest of a family of six boys. Their mother’s name is Honor and the boys all feel they must live up to their mother’s name. Adam and Mercy have known each other since childhood and he has loved her the entire time. Unfortunately she married Langston Barns and Adam has had to stand aside and watch a terrible marriage from the sidelines. This book has conflict, love, humor, romance, honor, faith and a cliffhanger leading into the next story. Thankfully there isn’t long to wait between stories.

The author has penned a very heart warming story that begins the series on the children of Honor Featherstone of the Lantern series. This is the story of Adam, her son, and Mercy. While Adam, who was younger than Mercy, had loved her for years she had married someone else who abused her and deemed her worthless. Upon her husband's death, Adam was determined to seize his chance. You will need to read the story to find out if Adam and Mercy were able to reach a HEA. This is an excellent beginning to this series and I certainly am looking forward to the next one in the series. I highly recommend this book, and I know you are going to enjoy it.

I’ve really enjoyed the ‘Lantern in the Window’ series and now it’s time that Honor’s sons find their HEA. The first one is Adam, he’s been in love with Mercy a long time but she’s married but after becoming a widow Adam is ready to court and marry her. But will he be too late?
I love stories about families and this is a good one. You get a little tast of what’s coming and I can’t wait to read the other books in this series.

Somethings are worth waiting for

Adam always knew that Mercy was the only woman he would ever love. The path that brings them together is long and winding, but it’s one Adam refuses to veer off of. Mercy has her doubts but the author does an amazing job of growing Mercy into the perfect person for Adam.
I love this story and can’t wait to see what happens with the other brothers.

Returning to Lantern, Texas.
Adam has always loved Mercy. Too bad she's 5 years older than him and married before he was grown up enough. It's been hard to watch Mercy's husband treat her so badly for years and not be loving towards his children because they're not boys. When Mercy is suddenly widowed, Adam decides to wait until her mourning period is over before proposing.
Will the other men live by the same code? Can Adam finally convince Mercy to marry him?
This is a clean, sweet romance. It wasn't my favourite just because of Mercy's situation with her husband. But it wasn't bad. I did enjoy returning to Lantern, Texas. I had hoped Honor had more children after the end of her book (Lantern of Hope - Lantern in the Window Book#6) but haven't seen any clues to that having happened in the years since those books took place.

Adam doesn’t give up

Enjoyable story of a man named Adam who has loved a certain woman for just about his entire life. However, he’s five years younger and Mercy doesn’t wait for him to grow up. Unfortunately, the man she marries is an abuser and a cheat.

I liked this story, but I had a very hard time figuring out who all these other people were. So many names!

Waiting

Adam is Honor's oldest son. Since he was a teen, he has loved Mercy, but she married another- an awful man who has treated her poorly and not truly acknowledged the gifts their children are. But an accident changes everything and Adam and Mercy have a chance.
