This is a sampling of the shoreline photography of Clark Little. Self-publishing doesn’t get much better than this.
While most photographers fight it out on jet skis or with drones to get the money shot of the big waves and their conquerors, Little stays at the shore line to capture the beauty and power of these waves as they make land fall. Little is fully exposed, working without a net, so to speak, as 30 footers and larger crash on top of him. Most people run from these monsters.
No one else, that I know of, is doing this. Without these photos we would not see the beauty, or the physics, of this natural wonder.
Each photo is perfectly labeled with an apt description, showing how infinitely different these waves are from each other.
There is a film of his work with the same title available on Amazon Prime.

Fantastic book of photography that would be beautiful on any coffee table. I love the descriptions of each piece telling a little story of how it was created. Maybe it was made more magical reading this in the lounge at Mauna Lani Auberge Resorts in Hawaii, but it was a magnificent experience.

Amazing photography of Clark Little!!!!!
In the front of this amazing collection of shoreline breaks, awesome waterspouts and incredible surf shots, sea turtles and behind the barrel shots is a brief history of Clark and his family. As is stated in the brief history: "Both Brock and Clark (brothers) made a name for themselves surfing (Waimea Bay). Brock became internationally famous as a big wave surfer and Clark became renown for his ability to surf the shorebreak. Waimea Bay was their backyard and Mother ocean was their nanny. When the little boys got out of line, this nanny wasn't afraid to give them a proper spanking."
After testing the shorebreak in the form of surfing the un-surfable, Clark took to photographing with a canon SD500 in a water housing. He doesn't stand on the shore and use a telephoto lens; he gets in the water and lets the water come to him, at times diving into the wave to forego being thrown into the sand. There are shots of Clark, taken by others, that show just how up close and personal he is with those waves. Taking pictures in this fashion, using the different types of light supplied by the varying angles of the sun and moon, provides some absolutely amazing photography.
I received this collection of photos as a gift from 2 of my boys. I placed it on a table at the foot of my stairs and turned the page each day to see yet another water photo just as beautiful as the last. It was a wonderful way to begin each day.
I highly recommend visiting his website clarklittlephotography(dot)com to view photos for sale in many forms!

I LOVE this book!!! I just recently heard about Clark from a friend, and was told to follow his Instagram. I'm so glad I did! He posted that he would be at a mall in Oahu today signing books, so I went and picked up this treasure. His photography is STUNNING!!! Even though he's got a beautiful set to work with, doesn't mean it's easy. This guy pays for the shots he gets.
