On the outside, Dax Marshall, the charismatic, enigmatic leader of the Southside Skulls seems to have everything. He was born MC royalty, the little prince of the legendary Doc Marshall and the beautiful Dallas Paxton. He was handed the empire his father built when he was only twenty-one years old. He took it to new heights, and married the “perfect” woman and started the “perfect” family. He had the respect and admiration of hundreds, and to most he seemed blessed with even more than his fair share of good luck. But even lucky men have secrets, and Dax Marshall is about to find out that nothing stays buried forever. When fifteen-year-old Dax meets his first love, a series of events are set into motion that will take him from basking in the glow of young love to a murderous rampage that will span two decades, and threaten to destroy everyone and everything Dax Marshall has ever held dear.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and revisiting Dax, his old lady, and the MC members. It was satisfying to see past issues resolved and justice served, allowing characters to move forward. The gripping and intense plot kept me engaged, with unexpected twists keeping me on edge. The diverse cast of characters added depth to the story.
Dax Marshall's dedication to protecting his club and loved ones, especially his daughter and wife, showcased his softer side. The club's loyalty and willingness to defend their president were commendable.
Angel's journey and the development of her character were heartwarming. Dax and Angel's relationship was portrayed beautifully, showing their deep love and connection.
Overall, this story kept me hooked from start to finish. The author's decision to revisit this couple, who are the heart of the club, was a highlight for me. Dax and Angel remain one of my favorite MC couples.
This is exactly how Dax Marshall, Prez of the Southside Skulls MC, life is going. Events from the past has Dax making mistakes now that is not only putting his life at risk but the whole club may go down due to his actions. Dark secrets are about to be revealed to those he loves and he has no idea who will follow him afterwards.
This book was presented with switching from both the past and the present without missing a beat. I loved this book with the alpha biker and the crazy darkness that surrounds him. The steam from this book was filled with chemistry as well. I definitely recommend this book!
This author is a rock star!! 32 books in a series and doesn’t even show signs of slowing. I loved revisiting Dax and Angel and Cody and Harley! We get a glimpse into Doc and Dax’s relationship and the revenge of Alice’s death. Fun and fast-paced read with lots of sexy times throughout.
•Revenge is a confession of pain. Latin Proverb •Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves. - Confucius
Revenge is the 15th in the Southside Skulls MC series and provides us more context about the heartbreaking backstory to how Dax became the man he is, the president of the largest, most badass and loyal motorcycle clubs in America. Although this story can be read as a standalone, the reader's enjoyment and connection to the story will be greatly enhanced by know the backstories of Dax (and even Lion).
This book is fantastic but it's a heartbreaker for sure, not because we don't get a happily ever after but more so because the HEAs in these stories usually come after the pain of someone else. When Dax sees the man who killed a person he once loved deeply, the fearsome, president of the Skulls loses touch with the calculating, wise man he's become and reverts to a 17 year old boy intent on seeking revenge. He's haunted by the things that happened all those years ago and acts without thought. Will Dax's need for revenge cost him everything? As Robert Louis Stevenson once said "Sooner or later, everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences. "
This book was amazing. A front row seat to karma, a heartbreaking ride with edge of your seat drama and these beautiful people driven by the most powerful force out there, love. Fantastic addition to the series.
Revenge was a great 5 star read. This is Dax’s story on how he finally got revenge. My heart broke for him and what he lost in his teenage years at the hands of a sicko. I was pulled in right from the beginning, it took me a bit to get used to all of the characters that we jumped between, we also go from present to past as Dax remembers things.
Dax has a family now, his beautiful daughter and wife, Angel. He has a lot to lose, can he keep his family together or will his revenge tear them apart?
Overall this was a great read. We get suspense, hot sex scenes, revenge, and so much more. All of the characters added a great element to the story, and loved them all. I was very happy with how things ended. If you're looking for a great MC read this is a series you would love. 1-click and get started today.

I have never read any Jessie Cooke novels before and jumped right in here with Revenge. Its not that it can't be jumped into but I feel like I missed a lot of the back story.
This book focuses on Dax and his history. He is the Prez of Southside Skulls MC out of Boston. Dax from what I can gather normally puts his Club and Family above all else. However when he spots someone from his past he's all set to put Revenge first.
This has you jumping back and forward through history for him to try and tell what happened to cause the need for revenge as well as how its effecting his current situation. I don't mind these types but I know alot who prefer not to so this may not be for everyone.
I love that Jessie has showing the flaws in Dax by making this revenge so important to him.
Unfortunately I do regret having not at least read the first book in this series which is named for the character Dax. I would love to know more about him and how he and Angel got together.
That however didn't detract too much as far as I can tell from the story. I still enjoyed reading the book and certainly will now give me more to go back and read later.
4.5 stars. Young love heartbreak! Exciting look back into Dax as a teen and his first love and the tragedy that ensues. I loved the backward glimpses into Dax’s first heartbreak and the events that made him who he is. He’s Dax F*ing Marshall! The baddest Mofo of the biggest and baddest MC ever. But first there was Doc and he’s featured in this as we see Dax come into his own. This was torture as the painful events of the past are revealed and the effect it has on present day Dax and his family. When he makes a mistake it’s huge! It could cost those he loves everything. It’s a thrilling ride all the way to the end with the outcome in suspense as the club comes together to save their leader. Dax and Angel end up stronger than ever with a big surprise. Great ending! I haven’t read all the series and there were a lot of references to others and past happenings but I didn’t feel lost so this is definitely a stand alone. It just makes me ready to binge the series! Terrific MC story with suspense, danger, fantastic brotherhood, and loving romance between the old men and their old ladies. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
I'm so happy that the brilliant Jessie Cooke gave us a new look into Dax Marshall's life as I've always had a thing for him. It's amazing that he turned out as amazing as he did since Doc didn't really help him along as much as he should have. Ms. Cooke actually sprinkled in Dax's past throughout after he lost his head to get revenge on a man who played a big part in his past & deserved it, but it put him in the cross-hairs of law enforcement, and it spilled over to the club. It's definitely a dark past that had me wanting to hug him so badly as he went through the fire as a teenager. When everything hit the fan, Dax was going to man up & save the club which I could see no way out of, leaving me on the edge of my seat biting my nails off. It means that the twists & turns were leveled up, making my loud f-bomb dropping following suit. This was such an emotional, suspenseful, hard hitting story about Dax that I'm straight up in awe of. And I don't want to forget the sexy times with his Angel to heat a girl up that's for sure. I LOVE this author so much, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND you hit those one click buttons IMMEDIATELY!
Although this is an extremely lengthy series, I have absolutely loved everything about it! I actually prefer the longer series anyway, but this one is different from most others. Usually in a lengthy series, the stories start to bleed together because it's the same thing over and over, just with different characters. This series is completely different in that regard, and each story, weather it's about an actual member or an associate of the club, is unique and intriguing. I absolutely love that the author has no issues going back to previous characters when a new story comes about, like this one. It was a fantastic story with a surprising ending that you wouldn't have anticipated happening. I also love learning more about the early years of Dax and Doc, although this one was definitely a heartbreaking story. I'm really looking forward to reading more from this awesome series, and I hope that there will be many! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
With Ms. Cooke’s 32nd Skulls MC book we take a trip, past and present, with the main man Dax Marshall, and what a trip it is. Ms. Cooke has given us glimpses of Dax throughout the different Skull’s books, but it was so nice to once again have a book dedicated to him. This book was so amazing, but definitely not always easy to read, so heartbreaking at times. Right off the bat, Dax’s past comes up and smacks him in the head and from then on proceeds full steam ahead. Sometimes to know a person, you need to see his past and Dax’s past as the Prince of the Southside Skulls MC wasn’t always sunshine and roses. His past and the things he saw and did made him the man he is in the present. Having that past crash down on him in the present, made him an even better man. Loved this story, even though it tore me up at times. Loved that we get a longer visit with old friends and especially Dax and Angel. Great job, as always, Ms. Cooke, you never cease to amaze me.
This book was revealing to the beginning of Dax Marshall. It has the hot steamy romance of Dax and Angel. But it is an inside look of Dax Marshall before he was president of the Southside Skulls and before Angel. He endured a lot by being the son of Doc Marshall. He brought a lot on himself too. I enjoyed reading about Dax's first love Alice/Anika. They were a young love that will remain forever young. I felt Dax's pain and heartbreak but I felt his strength too. This story reveals a lot of history from Dax's life that we didn't know. Dax lost his way for a moment when the past showed up out of nowhere. He forgets what he preaches and has to be reminded that his family always has his back. Thank you Jessie for another inside look at the Skulls, the hot alpha males and the strong women that complete these men.
A great book!! I've loved most of this series but the ones with the Southside Skulls MC has been the best. There is now three clubs but the Southside is the original. Dax does something that puts him and his club in danger of the law. Mostly himself and Cody. Since Cody is brought in and questioned Dax decides to throw himself on the sword to protect Cody and the club. He was being stupid in my opinion. The question is since he confessed to something else how is he going to get out of it or does he? Nobody's luck last forever. This book brings about a few things from his youth. A little when he was in love for the first time and a story of a young homeless girl. There is a few touchy subjects such as child rape but no gory details.
As with this whole series it's rated R for adults only.
When more books are added to this series I'll be back
An inside look at part of what made Dax Marshall the President of the Southside Skulls, the man he is. A ghost from his past comes knocking and brings with it old memories and the promise for revenge against the man who committed the murder of a young innocent girl. Murder, child trafficking, the brotherhood of the MC and the family they will do anything to protect, add in intense sexual chemistry and romance and you have one fantastic story, well worth your time to read, and if you haven't done it yet, start with the first book of the series, you'll enjoy them all.
Ok so this entire series is for to be one of the best I have read in a long time. I'm no stranger to MR romances , but let me tell you Jessie Cooke hit this whole set out of the park. I couldn't stop from beginning to end. Each and every book kept me coming back for more. I'm one of those people that love a good group of books. I couldn't have found a better set of books if Jessie Cooke had took a walk in my mind. Kudos to you. Keep up the good work. And again I love ,love love the story of the skulls. I'm hopefully on my way to New Orleans soon. To check out the wild ones in the jokers MC out of the swamps of nu orlens.💘
When I first read Dax and Angel's story it got me hooked on the Skulls MC series. Many many books later and still excited to read each book.
This one gave us a more detail of Dax past and what made him the man he is today. Dax said I in this book he finally grew up. Family comes in all shapes and firm. Through the years Dax and Angel's family grew. The love the men and women have for Dax made sure he was not going to jail. The respect and love Dax has for his family is very apparent through the pages of this book. Can't wait for book 24.
I enjoyed this story. We got to see more of Dax's past, and he realized how strong and wide his support system was. There were plenty of steamy scenes, action-filled flashbacks, and family. Dax was a good strong leader, made stronger with Angel, his wife, by his side. A couple of moments had tears in my eyes, and the banter between couples, the MC, and those around them made me smile once in a while as well.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This book gives you some insight into a young Dax but it also shows you the loyalty of the skulls. When he was young he was helped by a young homeless girl that became very important to him but she was brutally killed by a ex member of the club. And disappeared then twenty years later Dax see him in the airport and all he can see is revenge and he gets it but it brings trouble down on the club and his club brothers. So enjoy another good read and see how it works out for him!!
Another amazing book by Jessie Cooke! Nice to read about more of Dax’s back story and his and Angels future together. This couple have been through so much it is amazing they stay together, what a wonderful power of story telling. Nice to read about multiple characters who Dax has helped along the way now help him. Great story and great series. Happy reading.
Dax has a reputation in the community that his MC helps in many cases. He has a family and an MC family. Life is good until his past could change all that not only for him but for others as well. We see a different side to Dax as the pressures get to him. Will he lose everything?
Emotions, loyalty, and love plus steam are filling this ongoing story of the Skulls MC and their leader. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On.
Loved it!!!! A blast from the past A great read including some of our favourite characters. Bk32 Revenge.. it is what it says on the tin. A love story & story of a justified revenge. I've loved the past/backstories most. explains how the characters became who they are and why they are the way they are!
Highly recommend the series not just this book, Great Read!!!!!!!!
Love, love, love this series! Dax is a wonderfully flawed character that I can't get enough of. While this book is a fitting climax (no pun intended) to the series, I would love 💘 more. Revenge fills in a few blanks and takes Dax and Angel to another level. A great read!!
Wow, this book was so shocking. I didn't know what to do. I really liked this book, and I couldn't put book down once started.
We caught up with all characters, especially Dax, Angel, Cody and Harley. They go through some tough stages and they relive the past because it all comes crashing down.
A ghost from Dax's past comes knocking and brings with it old memories and the promise for revenge against the man who committed the murder of a young innocent girl. Murder, child trafficking, the brotherhood of the MC and the family they will do anything to protect, add in intense sexual chemistry and romance and you are taken one heck of ride through the past with Dax Marshall.
This story is both about present day and the past. Dax's first love was Alice... But he got murdered which leads to the title of this book... Dax took revenge on some of the people who murdered her.... But he missed one... Its a good story.... I am a little bit disappointed we don't get to see if Angel has more than one embryo... Its a good story.
This was such an amazing read, I reminisced with all the brothers of one of my favourite MC clubs who’s stories I’ve read, even Wolf made it over from the Westside to make an appearance. I absolutely loved catching up with Dax again, the greatest MC President ever. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
This story was incredible, exciting, moving and just plain Fantastic!!!. Jessie is a Phenomenal writer and storyteller 😍😂. Her stories always keeps you interested from the beginning to the end.
I loved Doc and Dax history. Father and son. To go back to history of 1998 to find revenge of Alice death. The story keeps you going. I can’t get enough of this sexy, and crazy MC series.looking forward for more.
Amazing as always , Jessie Cooke. I loved the early story of Dax, his first love, his first kill. His rocky relationship with Doc. And the difference between the two men as men and as Presidents. The love story of Dax and Angel continues and is one for the ages.
