To me, the prototype of “Romeo and Juliet”, “Qais and Laila” is one of the diamonds of Egyptian and Arabic Literature. It was a great translation done by Jeanett Wahba Attiaya. I imagine how beautifully the original play is written (unfortunately not able to read).
I will go further in reading Arabic drama and especially by Ahmed Shawqi.
