Rate this book

A beautiful book where the author narrates his memories and experiences of the many roads and routes he traveled in various countries, including Puerto Rico, Colombia, and on pilgrimages with alternate routes, with a common destination, the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The author, Vicente Cabán, tells us about the achievements and satisfaction he felt as he reached each town that brought him closer to his goal, of the friends he met during all his walks, of the local gastronomy, after-dinner conversations with other pilgrims and friends, the euphoria that he shared with others as he got closer to his goal and received a Compostela each time completing the journey, as well as the setbacks he had due to tiredness, weakness, stumbling blocks, and those that Mother Nature offered him. There was also a huge connection with Mother Nature and with oneself spiritually and mentally. I felt like packing and taking a trip somewhere, where the experiences will be unforgettable!

Excellent book and very well written. Grab a cup of coffee or a cold beer and enjoy a journey through Spain and Colombia. I especially enjoyed the way the peregrino (Mr. Cabán) took us on very special and personal walk through beautiful and challenging landscapes. His detailed descriptions, inner thoughts, and friendly, caring interactions with other peregrinos provide the reader an opportunity to join this amazing adventure from the comfort of their own couch. You are left feeling that you walked every kilometer alongside the peregrinos, shared every meal, and toasted with exquisite vino or cold cerveza every success they had.

I LOVED IT! I felt everything that Caban was feeling. I cried, I laughed, I tasted and smelled every meal and every wine. It was so real. I even highlighted the routes Caban took, to take the same routes when I go. Mis Caminos is inspiring, empowering and admirable. You can read it repeatedly and you will find something new or different. Gracias Caban. Dios continúe bendiciéndote! 🙏🏻
