God desires believers to have living understanding of His purposes in the earth and what is to come. This includes moving toward the literal fulfilment of the Great Commission as well as our expectations of how this present age will unfold as we near the end of this age. The eight parables of Matthew 13 reveal key developments in the unfolding process of the Kingdom of God. They are prophetic parables of Jesus as they provide forward looking glimpses into how things will unfold. We respond by personally applying the discerned truths while teaching them to others. We want to deliberately study these important parables, asking the Spirit to reveal them to us, layer by layer. Doing so empowers us to align with the heart and purpose of God in our day.
