I was fortunate to beta read Melinda Terranovas story in this collection and I loved it! Wolf shifters and reverse harem what could be better! Fast paced story that I would love to see turned into a full length novel. I will be purchasing the full collection on release and will add to my review.

Are you looking for that perfect, relaxing getaway ? Well, Dark Hollow Lake may be the place you want to go and kick back, especially if you want to fill your vacation with shape shifters, paranormal, and things that go bump in the night (or day)! Dark Hollow Lake is an amazing collaborative compilation of stories that center on a small town with many secrets. Ten authors weave their stories throughout this town in such a way that you can't put the book down. I found myself staying up late with the promise of 'just one more story'. A lot of times, anthologies can be hit or miss. This is definitely a hit!

“10 authors, 10 different stories… ONE town. Dark, twisted with lots of suspense and even in the dark there was love. Exactly as the blurb says expect murder, mystery and mayhem. Each story gave me goosebumps to be honest. Me reading at 3AM starting to feel anxious and conscious of the dark corners in my room. ‘You better be careful out there, who knows what may lurk in the dark?’ Eli couldn’t have been more right (not spoiling a thing of him). Dark Hollow Lake was a wonderful collaboration of 10 amazing and talent authors that kept me on the edge.

I can’t begin to express how much I loved this story. Full of mystery, suspense, loss, revenge and ultimately hope and love. The beginning was sad and painful. I was aching for answers and craving of whom was capable of doing such despicable things. Chase and Melinda were like Bonnie and Clyde but against crime. Their relationship was utterly delicious to read. 'You have all the time in the world. But don't let life pass you by.' -Chase.

I would love to leave a review of each story but I don’t want to give spoilers and ruin the incredible stories of the authors. A must read anthology, trust me!”

I am only reviewing author K. Moore's short story in this anthology, Killer at Dark Hollow Lake because I haven't read all of the novellas in this anthology yet. I have read her previous book and was looking forward to reading this and I was not disappointed.

Written in dual points of view, this short crime thriller draws you right in and won't let you go. The main character is a strong-willed, exceptionally skilled agent and has that tunnel-vision when she is on a case and this is one where she cannot let go of hence her unofficial "working" holiday.

This thrilling tale is fast-paced and the characters are solid. We really don't figure out until the last chapter who is the killer but there are a few interesting characters that are bounced around as possible suspects.

The author has written quite a strong protagonist and in future I hope she can be developed into a full story and maybe a series? Just saying.

A dark and at times frightening collection of stories centered on the lake well

written and good stories not a book to read if you are easily scared or

camping on a dark wet night.

Some very interesting reads

This is a bunch of new to me authors. Some books I enjoyed more, but they were all very interesting reads. All centered around a town called Deep Hollow Lake.

Fantastic...

All the authors meshed well together. Each author style was different which made the anthology great. Kettle Able's story was one of my favorite.

Recognizing this is a collection of novellas written by 10 different authors, there is something for everyone. One thing is crystal clear, the town of Dark Hollow Lake is creeping with mystery, murder, and mayhem.

Allowing for various writing styles and voices, the editors must have been sleeping on the job. I'm not an English major, but I do expect editors to clean up blatant mistakes so I'm not left tripping in every chapter. Not faulting the authors! Seems like the publisher is either not employing editors on this one, or is saving their best editors for other works. A shame, really, because the stories read like they could be made into a series focused on Dark Hollow Lake.

Stories 3, editing 1. Average 2.

Enchantment

I began the journey into dark literature after reading some of the other books published by this company. This compilation of stories did not disappoint. Lot of interesting characters and scenarios; it just has a lot to chose from. Whether you’re into supernatural, myths, archeology to name a few there is a story for you here! I am getting the physical copy simply bc I want to have it in my hands and be able to cherish it more than just electronically.

Disappointing!!

The first two stories were ok. I probably would have rated them a 3.5. I did read the third story and don't know why I finished if, other than I didn't have anything else to read. Maybe I missed the notice that these were written for 9-13 year old's.. I started on the fourth book and only read a page. Just couldn't do it.
