Cozy Mystery Series Indeed!

These cozy mysteries are just the ticket if you enjoy a light read. No horror. No angst. Just a wholesome little murder with a sprinkling of romance, humor, and food on the side. I appreciate the secondary murder case that Lacey has been investigating off and on throughout the series. It's sometimes hard to find good clues on a hundred year old murder.

Lace doesn't learn

I do like the storylines.
The use of more descriptive and less common words is another plus.
It is the ending of the stories that is becoming repetitive.
However, the ending is predictable ... foolishly putting herself at risk with the killer. It is unrealistic that an intelligent woman would keep pushing herself into obviously dangerous situations I.e. not learning from her mistakes and refusing to heed the advice & pleas from an experienced detective.

I enjoyed the book, but there were some inconsistencies

It seems like sometimes things change from one book to another or even one chapter to another. The writing is enjoyable probably more like 3.5 stars but the inconsistency sometimes just gets to me.

Great murder mysteries

These series are great to read. It's fun to solve them along the way to find out who did the murder. The recipes at the end of each book is delightful.
