The Grey Fox team vs. Odessa - Nazis reborn

Gunner, Cam and Bear in the field with Jackal and Ghost leading from the rear, made a team that thwarted the neo-Nazi Odessa group. Odessa - the Nazi Party members who escaped capture and death and fled to other countries to rebuild the Third Reich from its ashes. Gunner and Grey Fox discovered the conspiracy when investigating a sunken U boat filled with hundreds of canisters of Sarin gas. As quickly as they identified the cargo, it disappeared without a trace. Grey Fox team's new mission: to find the missing Sarin before it could be used by terrorists. It quickly became apparent that the terrorist organization Gunner's team was bumping heads with was a bunch of Nazis who had managed to escape Germany in the aftermath of the World War II. The Nazi diaspora led to many countries sympathetic to their cause or unable to prevent the escaped Nazis from using their countries for shelter. An excess of money also paved the way to the new homes of the leaders of the Nazi Party. Their plans involved rebuilding the Third Reich and the key was the recaptured Sarin gas canisters. Only Gunner and the Grey Fox team can thwart their plans!

Bobby Akart has a penchant for introducing a catastrophe to educate the readers to prepare themselves for anything that comes, and he has been pretty accurately described as a prophet, foreseeing many of his scenarios placed in the real world. Let's pray that he's wrong in this case, although I believe he may be right in this case at least in the desire to rebuild that world by some really disturbing groups.

The success of a character driven storyline depends entirely on the credibility and believability of the actors. Gunner and Cam are larger than life heroes who save the world from catastrophe again and again, not for profit or accolades, but because someone has to do it and it may as well be them. The characters that comprise the Grey Fox team are genuinely heroic personalities, too large to accept failure. Save the world next week? Sure. Why not? We didn't have anything planned anyway! You gotta love 'em, right?

The amount of research necessary to write the backstory for this book was amazing. The names and places all fit the storyline perfectly, as per usual in a Bobby Akart story. Everything is in place and ready. All it needs is a master storyteller to weave the threads into this magnificent tapestry. Amazing!

As the United States attempts to return to some form of normalcy from the Saran attack, Gunner, Cam and Bear are traveling the world attempting to bring down Odessa. Rome, Austria, Germany, Argentina and home to the U.S are all on the travel agenda with nothing but danger and action at every stop.
From the opening pages we learn how the country and the world including its many leaders have been infiltrated by the most despicable group of animals ever. Thanks to their evil great grandfather Heinrich Himmler and the sisters he chose to carry on his horrible hatred, the new Odessa is even worse than good old granddad!
Gunner, Cam and Bear are forced to stretch their bodies and minds to a near breaking point as they rush to stop the death of thousands of men, women and children without the first clue of what is planned.
The team goes from the depth of the Vatican archives, where very few have been allowed access to, to the heights of a castle in the mountains of Argentina and into the world of high tech in a modern building in Berlin, and another century old castle in Salzburg Austria and one final place that will shock everyone before the team reach the end of a deadly trail of evil.
Death waits around every corner and the action never stops as the team has to fight their way in and out of many of the cities listed but as always, Bobby Akart has done it again. He kept me on the edge of my seat and up all night reading. Perhaps he has never created a better group of people to fight evil in the world; the question is will they survive to see the mission through.
As I have said many times Bobby Akart is the KING OF TEOTWAWKI, but now he is gaining ground on the action, adventure crowd. Odessa Strikes as well as all of his other Gunner Fox books are full of the kind of action in Mission Impossible, James Bond and Jack Reacher. With that said he still saves a big part of the world from annihilation.

With more action than Die Hard, Odessa Strikes starts out with edge of your seat action that does not let up until the last page is turned. Bobby Akart has outdone himself with this final book in this trilogy as the Gray Fox team tries to stop unknown terrorists from striking again. The team travels the world following clues that lead them to deep in the bowels of The Vatican and its hidden secrets to Argentina where the ending of one life leads to so many more questions for the team.
This is one story line that makes you stop and think. What if the descendants of the Third Reich are planning retaliation against those that took down the Nazis during WWII? Is it that farfetched? Not when you read the story that Bobby has put together with intricate research that delves deep into history and brings fiction together with it.
It is hard to convey how much I have enjoyed this trilogy with mere written words. I loved how I was able to travel with the team and visualize the scenery and each and every action scene that had me holding my breath because as you know, no one is ever safe in an Akart story and as some of this played out, I was in doubt of the safety of the characters.
I absolutely, positively recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good, thrilling, exciting story that will keep you up at night and have you entertained non-stop!

Another great thriller?

I love Mr Bobby Akart's books! Each one is just as good as the last, making it hard to pick a favorite. I love listening to them as audiobooks, too. I did have questions about this bioterrorism series, however. I cannot imagine how titanium canisters could rupture ...my husband has a titanium wedding ring. It has to be exchanged for a silicon one as he works outside. The ring has often been fumbled and fallen to hard surfaces... I have never even seen a scratch much less a dent. I am curious if this is the first mistake I've read in over 60 books?
I also am curious as to the chlorine added to Phoenix AZ water supply. There was no follow up on that.
Curious, as I thought this was the end of a 3 book series. Maybe I'll get an answer some day. Still an awesome book and worthy of 5 plus stars!

Exceptionally good book that is building the series into a frenzy. A shadow organization is wreaking havoc across the US and the world and 3 operatives undertake some of the biggest battles they have ever seen. I gave this one a 5 star because it ended with a foreshadow of things to come. Books 4-5 were left a points where your gaping there with not another book to read. They were both really good but because of where he left them, they got 4's. Well worth a read from books 4-6 but if you want background on the team, you'll need to read the first part of the series about an asteroid that is going to hit earth. It is kind of a series where it's told in 2 parts. Very good though.

Political terrorism thriller

At the end of WWII numerous members of the Nazi party fled Germany and ended up in all parts of the world, taking with them untold millions in treasures and money stolen from Jews and conquered countries. This book continues the story of Odessa, an organization created to ensure the resurrection of the Third Reich. Several devastating attacks occur in America and Gunner Fox and his team race around the globe in search of answers trying to prevent further disasters.

Odessa Strikes . What can I say? It gives me the chills.

Yes, once again Bobby has done it! I am up all night and reading Book 2! It's 2 am and I just grabbed a glass of wine, all to enhance my reading experience with my favorite author!
It's really interesting, as of late I have been reading quite a bit of history, Germany and the Nazi experience. Odessa pulls a more personal feeling without saying more. It takes my breath away and hurts my heart for so many. Yet so much is real.

Whilst the story line is interesting and the plot is definitely something that could potentially happen, i just could not get over how shallow the lead characters are. The US is literally under serious attack and all these 3 can do is crack jokes and have play ground bravado… they are so good at their skills they can kill and seduce anything without breaking a sweat… whilst cracking jokes. Fist bumps all over the place its ridiculous

This remains a generally exciting action-thriller series, though it bogged a bit with going from one scenario handled with near-superhuman aplomb by our heroes to another. Not much character development here and Bear is starting to take the role of comic relief. We do learn more about the insidious nature of the Nazi group. Since so much was unresolved at the end of this book, I assume there will be another one.

Thin in some areas

Average read. The writing got reallly lazy in some places and took situations to an unbelievable degree. The Odessa plot is certainly a plausible scenario and the elite absolutely share common goals, yet to revive the Reich was a bit thin. OBTW, not really sure exactly how plausible the super human powers of the heroes in this book would survive the real world, lol.

Time for the next adventure!

I have read most Bobby Akart books to date, and can honestly say, "We need more ". The Gunner Fox series is, hands down, the best series. There is a never-ending tale to be told. Fast paced, loaded with adventure, excitement, ups downs, and in my opinion, warnings into what could happen in the future. I have now read the Gunner Fox series twice. Thought provoking and up all night action. Ready for the next...

This series is like chilling reminder...

... especially in our current political turbulence. I can totally see something like this playing out IRL with the rapid fire events of the last 8 months. Love the trio of Gunner, Bear and Cam and their ferocious courage in fighting those things unseen by the rest of us! Akart never ceases to disappoint! I'm hoping there will be more Badass Gunner stories in the future.

This character driven roller coaster ride will have you flipping or swiping pages quickly to see what's coming next. Can Gunner, Cam and Bear stop this Fourth Reich threat to the US or does Odessa win? I love thrillers and Akart writes some of the best. I highly recommend you pick up this series and any other series by Bobby Akart as this author writes great tales.

Bobby Apart can tell a wicked story.

What would happen to the United States of there was a release of poisonous gas or if it was released in the water in major cities? How many will die ? Will they be caught? What would the next terror attack bring? Who are the 3 who stop 2 of the attacks, what agency are they with?

Love this Series!

Now I wait for the next one! I firmly believe this series is all too possible with the neon Nazi movements we see periodically around the world. But like this one, the real and truly dangerous one will be very powerful and well hidden until it strikes.... Once again, Mr. Akart does a brilliant job of shining the spotlight on the well hidden.

Nazi saga

Not my favorite of Bobby Akart books. Full of great information if someone is a historian or has a strong interest in the era. There are the usual thrilling moments and the writing is top notch as well. Anything by Mr. Akart is well written!

Within this well told story you will find a history lesson that cloaks the advice to not forget the lessons from our past. We frequently overlook this when time passes and our problems from the pase fade from memory. Does the ending foreshadow a future book?

More!

I knew at the end of this fantabulous trilogy that the end wasn't the end. For this subject, the bad guys may well be with us--always, but what a ride it will be wiry Mr. Akart providing the verbal path.

Intense

Once again Bobby Akart has concluded his series with an edge of your seat, breath holding stellar hit. Gunner Fox and Grey Fox team will be missed but I hopefully they will rise again, just like the Third Reich did.

Odessa, not a myth. The ashes of the third Reich have been rekindled. America has been targeted twice by acts of destruction, mass murder that makes all prior terrorists attacks against America as inconsequential . An elite team not known to the public and very few in politics have taken the fight to Odessa with the blessings of POTUS. Unfortunately a key member of his staff, a military general and a list of American monetary kingpins are plotting against him. An excellent read as well as a believable scenario. Hopefully this series will continue. My highest recommendation!
