Book consists of papers presented at the 15th Percival David Foundation Colloquy on the Art and Archaeology of Asia in 1990. The theme of the meeting was Function and Meaning in Early Chinese Ritual Bronzes - most notably discussing the "taotie" featured in Shang bronzes. 176pp, numerous b/w plates.
