Our big family lived in a three room board shack Daddy built, 'fore he knowed how many of us there was gonna be. There was Daddy, Mama, two older brothers, Eugene and Donald, Eugene's wife Dotty, two older sisters, Ila Mae and Will-dean, and then there was me, my little brother Jonnie who was sickly since he was born and Gran-ma on my Mama's side.
