Rate this book
Thirty-year-old Brian Cahill is an accountant who lives in Chicago. He grew up in an orphanage, witnessed horrifying combat in Vietnam, and suffers from periodic post-traumatic stress and severe emotional disorders. He hates the parents who deserted him, even though he has never met them. Brian receives a photo album from his dying mother. He finds a picture of his mother and father in front of a boarding house somewhere. As Brian vacations in Stamford Bridge, Michigan, he recognizes the boarding house where the picture of his parents was taken thirty years earlier.
