Written by one of the world's leading magical adepts, Magical Healing is a 'must have' health survival guide for magicians, students of magic and the Mysteries, occultists, Pagans, tarot readers, energy healers, and occult/Pagan exorcists. Such adventures bring with them impacts that can directly affect the health and wellbeing of the mind and body—a heavily overlooked aspect of the world of magic and divination.
Magical Healing guides the reader through the complexities of how to maintain a healthy mind and body while exploring the depths of magic. It explains how energies can affect our health and what to do about it, how to deal with magical impacts and attacks that affect the body, and how to use divination as a method of keeping a check on your own energetic health. Magical techniques of visionary healing are included, along with many different approaches to self-healing and maintenance, plus how to stay clean and protected.
Presented in the familiar down-to-earth no-nonsense voice of Josephine McCarthy, Magical Healing is a necessary companion for those who seek to walk beyond the veil, whatever their path may be.

The beginning of this book is dedicated to theories of health and how practicing magic can affect the body. Roughly the last two thirds are practical. First the author outlines how to use tarot to help with diagnosis. She shares several spreads and gives examples of how to interpret them. I found this really fascinating. Next she goes into using homeopathy, herbs and other natural remedies for healing specific issues (with more insight on how they might arise from magical work). This book is practical, insightful and definitely one for any serious practitioner. The author is an "eclectic visionary magician", so much of what she says may go over your head if you don't practice the same way, but there is still plenty here for everyone. A must read!
I had a hard time connecting with this book until near the end, when suddenly everything fell into place for me and I could really appreciate the work. This book gives such an interesting and intuitive approach to magic and, therefore, to healing generally. I'd suggest anyone even remotely interested in magic or the occult read this book.
So worth the time and reading. Just like The Exorcist's Handbook, this book will teach you a lot about life, beyond the healing modalities for magicians.
