Leo Marchionni, New Orleans’ most reclusive bachelor, has a two-year-old secret…
…who looks a heck-of-a-lot like him.
After becoming a father, Leo made the impossible decision to hide his son from the world in order to protect him from the mafia. It’s been a year since Leo left the mob, and he’s more than ready to claim his family. The problem is…
…he hasn’t spoken to the mother of his child - and love of his life – for months. She has no freaking idea he's been seeing his kid almost every day. Worst still, she’s moved on, and her current romance is headline news.
Dahlia Calhoun’s entire life revolves around her young son and her father’s presidential campaign. She doesn’t have time for drama, and she certainly doesn’t have time to pine over the man who broke her heart.
But a little closure would be nice. Unfortunately, Dahlia’s idea of closure is one hot goodbye kiss.
When photos of the governor’s daughter kissing a former mobster surface, Leo and Dahlia’s lives will never be the same. Between a seriously twisted stalker, an angry campaign manager, and a jilted-fake-fiancé the star-crossed lovers are drowning in a scandal tsunami.
Add a rambunctious two-year-old to the mix, and let's just say the environment isn't exactly romantic. Leo’s going to need some major creativity, and every ounce of charm he can muster, to get his second chance at love.
You’ll love this romantic comedy chocked full of suspense, because everyone loves a bad boy trying to be a good dad.
Kathryn M. Hearst is a southern girl with a love of the dark and strange. She has been a story teller her entire life, as a child she took people watching to new heights by creating back stories of complete strangers. Kate lives in North Carolina with her chocolate lab, Jolene; and two rescue pups, Jagger and Roxanne. She is a self-proclaimed nerd, raising a nerdling.
Overall I liked this story, but the whole premise that Leo crushed Dahlia's heart is utter BS when they broke up because:
1) Dahlia's father insisted she and Leo had to go their separate ways for the good of his own political career 2) Dahlia chose to obey daddy even though she was approaching 30 3) Leo said he would give her space since she was publicly dating a father-approved senator who had publicly proposed to her 4) She told Leo that her private life was none of his business when he asked how serious she and Harrison were 5) She and Leo both agreed to protect the identity of their son from the mob
So if anybody should be annoyingly wishy-washy and playing the victim card it should be Leo. Humph. Actually, I failed to see what he saw in Dahlia throughout the entire story, but at least she stopped irritating me after she decided that Leo had the right to see his own son. This is me rolling my eyes @@ The rest of the plot was interesting enough even though it was pretty obvious from the start who the bad guys were. However, there is an unresolved twist at the end that will be addressed in the next book, so perhaps things will get more exciting then.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Although this book is part of a series, I had no trouble not knowing all the previous stories; only the family life would definitely be a bit more entertaining with more background information. From the beginning, you learn a lot about the connection between Leo and Dahlia and I really enjoyed their love story. Since they have a child together the chemistry between the two is predetermined and is not built up slowly. However, a lot has happened since then. Leo doesn't let anything get in the way of protecting Dahlia and his child when things get dangerous for both of them. The buildup of tension in the story was able to pull me in and was well done. The resolution was unexpected and surprising. Although it took me some time to pick up on the emotions of the two protagonists, they were then convincing and feelable. The audio book is narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Ava Lucas. I am a fan of Aaron Shedlock's voice and love how well the two narrators harmonize and portray emotion and tension. Transparency: I won a code for the audio book, no strings attached. I voluntarily wrote my honest review.
Book Review: Hot Momosa (Bourbon Street Bad Boys' Club #4) Author: Kathryn M. Hearst My Rating: 5 Stars Reviewed by: Tammy - Book Nook Nuts
REVIEW We are getting Marchionni brother Leo's story and it's oh so good. Leo has kept a very large secret from his family. Dahlia and Leo met in college and had been an item in secret. All think they were simply just best friends. All of that is about to blow up in a very dark and dangerous way. Will Leo finally own up and do what is needed to protect Dahlia when she needs him the most? Or will he sink and drown? The author outdid herself with this story and I loved all the action and suspense. And Oh yes we get tons of laughs too especially from the Poodle-teers haha... Grab your copy and read all the goodness.

Hot Momosa Bourbon Street Bad Boys' Club, Book 4 By: Kathryn M. Hearst Narrated by: Aaron Shedlock, Ava Lucas
The Bourbon Street Bad Boys’ Club series is one of my favorite series, those bad boys, the Marchionni brothers and their stories are absolutely amazing. Each book of the series features a different brother and stands on its own, and I highly recommend them all. Ms. Hearst is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, she creates interesting stories that are captivating from start to end. The characters are likable, easy to relate to, connect with and are easy to care about too. Hot Momosa is Leo Marchionni and Dahlia Calhoun’s story, they are no longer together but have a two-year-old son, Gunnar, but for safety reasons they never revealed that Leo was the father. Leo is running a successful hotel business and Dahlia works for her father, the Governor, who is prepping to run for the presidency. Because of the Marchionni’s connection to the mob, her father does not want her to have anything to do with Leo, even though he is not involved in mob business. Dahlia is the only one for Leo, but she has moved on and he needs to let her go. But a goodbye kiss leads to so much more, but not in the way you would think. Dhalia has a lot going on in her life, including a stalker who has been sending her threats, one that got too close to home and too close to Gunnar, she called Leo for help. He keeps her safe but they need to find out who is behind the threats and plenty gets uncovered. This is wonderfully plotted second chance romance contains a perfect balance of drama, angst, humor, twists and turns, thrilling & suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotions, and steamy romance. Kathryn M. Hearst thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Aaron Shedlock and Ava Lucas are fabulously talented voice artists and entertaining storytellers. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that suits the character’s persona to a tee, sound believable in every role they play and just as I picture the characters to sound. Aaron Shedlock nailed it as Leo, Ava Lucas did the same for Dahlia’s role. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters as well, including the adorable Gunnar. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured every single emotion and projected them into their performance. Thank you for another exceptional listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your work
Hot Momosa Bourbon Street Bad Boys' Club, Book 4 By: Kathryn M. Hearst Narrated by: Aaron Shedlock, Ava Lucas
There is nothing better than melding my favorite tropes together. The Bourbon Street Bad Boys Club is a mixture of contemporary romance, with a hint of humor and a lot of mafia! This is the fourth book of the series featuring Leo Marchionni and the love of his life, Dahlia. Meeting in college, these two had a special connection, but when she becomes pregnant and Leo's brother is murdered, they decide it's best to break off their connection until it's safe. Two years later, the family has changed their ways, Dahlia has encountered some trouble of her own and Leo takes her in with their son. With her life in danger, Leo is going to do whatever it takes to keep Gunnar and Dahlia safe and win her heart again. Kathryn M Hearst weaves a story of family, politics, paparazzi, second chances, deceit, adorable dogs and a toddler that makes it all come together! I love these characters! Leo is so protective and attentive. He is everything a woman could want! Dahlia is quite the woman. She sticks to her guns, knows what she wants and loves fiercely. And Gunnar is a hear stealer! He is so cute; he steals the show. We get a glimpse at the brothers we have gotten to know and love along with the rest of the family. This may be my favorite of the series so far!
And to make it even better, it's narrated by two of my favorites! Aaron Shedlock and Ava Lucas tell us Leo and Dahlia's story. Shedlock brings all the alpha tones out in Leo, and the way he is with Gunnar is swoon worthy. Lucas shines as Dahlia, creating a strong woman with a vulnerability that is easy to relate to. And her kid voice! So good! Love this team, they can read to me anytime!
Another brilliant story from Kathryn M Hearst as she continues to wow me with the Marchionni brothers and their complicated love lives. Leo and Dahlia have been best friends since college, but their relationship changed overtime and they became lovers...secretly.Then Dahlia becomes pregnant and everything goes wrong,Leos brother is murdered and so when baby Gunner is born it is kept a secret from Leo's family..and no-one knows Gunner is Leo's son...Dahlia keeps her son away from the Marchionni family so nobody would suspect Leo is his father... Keeping away from Dahlia and Gunner kills Leo,but he can't risk them being in danger because of his families connections with the Mafia...Little did Leo know is that Dahlia is already in danger and it is nothing to do with the Mafia. Dahlia has a stalker and her own father is pursuing a spot in the White House and she is being groomed to marry a man she doesn't love...There are so many complications that when Leo comes back into her life it seems like the dream of being with Leo again is impossible. This is a second chance romance and Leo is not going to miss his chance to be the man Dahlia deserves and the father Gunner needs. This book is a real rollercoaster honestly there is so much content and things going on its full of mystery and intrigue..it keeps you on your toes. There is also some humour to the dialogue as well which lightens the subject matter,I really enjoyed this book.Kathryn M Hearst is an incredibly talented writer and she knows how to reel you in and get you hooked. I am always very entertained reading the Bourbon Street Bad Boys. Excellent.!! 5 Stars.
What is going on between Leo and Dahlia? The question friends and family have been asking for years. She swears they are only friends. He swears it's not romantic. Yet, they are always together. Until they aren't. She's the only daughter of the Governor-turned-Presidential Candidate; he's one of the many Marchionni brothers from the rumored mafia family. It's complicated. And they have a little secret. A 2-year old charming boisterous mini-Leo.
This is part second-chance romance, part mafia, part mystery. There's intrigue, humor, and romance. It's every bit as well-written as the previous books, but I struggled more with this couple than the previous ones. It was hard for me to give Leo a chance. He had so many opportunities to step up for Dahlia and didn't. So many years he denied them. He denied his love. He denied his son a loving extended family. He hid his relationship with her and their son. Then when he thought he had lost her to another man, he finally starts to make his move. Let's just say, I wasn't impressed. Not that I let Dahlia off the hook completely. She was responsible for putting her father's career in front of her life. I believe these two loved each other; it just wasn't an all-consuming love. The fact they could put their relationship on hold for a decade, and then not even see each other for a year, didn't work for me. I did love the three poodleteers. I nearly cried during the dramatic scene with the "bad guy" near the end. It was the height of ridiculous and I was there for it! I also adored Gunner. The precious little boy made everything better.
Hot Momosa is a wonderful read. This book had me so engrossed I couldn’t put it down. This is the 4th book in the Bourbon Street Bad Boys Club Series and I think it’s my favorite so far. (I probably said that about the last 3 books too!) This book has you soaking up the sights and sounds of New Orleans and totally wrapped up in the big and loud Marchionni Family. Leo and Dahlia have been hiding a big secret for 2 years. Things come to a head when Dahlia’s stalker of a year breaks into her house. Her first call is to Leo and the family is finally together. Well kinda...at least they’re under the same roof and safe. Dahlia is unsure of her feelings for Leo. They also have to deal with Dahlia’s Governor father who’s running for president, her mean unhappy mother, her father’s nasty assistant, a precious 2 year old who is totally his father’s son, the cute three poodle-teers and their original daddy, Dahlia’s Senator friend that won’t take no to a marriage proposal, more stalking, some cute family moments and some hot steamy scenes. This book will have you trying to figure out who the bad guy is and also laughing out loud. I really enjoyed this read.
Hearst pens a another steamy, magnificent romance slash mafia story in Hot Momosa. Yes, read all the stories in this series. I have, and enjoyed each one. I like how the reader gets involved deeply in the story, and becomes connected with the characters. Leo is an interesting character, with so many flaws and perfections, that it just makes you want to scream at him to do the right thing. If there is even a clear right thing. Romance, connections between parents and child, and a not too long ago past that is still lingering. Heartbreak and drama, who could ask for more? If you do, this story gives it. Love this story. If you love a good dramatic romance, this book should be next on your list. This read is so engrosssing, it brings you right in the middle of the story. This read is more than just words on a page. Hot Momosa is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author.
No spoilers and read the summary to find out what the books is about… Leo is the fourth ‘Bourbon Street Bad Boy’ who has been keeping the depth of his relationship with Dahlia a secret. Since our Hero has a close relationship with his large family, everyone speculates and has an opinion… This is the fourth book in the series I’ve read and as usual I believe it is enjoyed more by reading the prior books in order as previous characters appear. However, it does standalone as far as their story. As with Ms. Hearst’s prior stories, I found a well-rounded story with realistic characters and writing that was easy to immerse myself in for a few hours.

Oh my what a scandal. Leo has a son, no biggie men have children every day, but he didn't know about his until recently. He has mob connections and had to leave the love of his life to protect her. Dahlia is in a pickle she is a single mother, her fathers political campaign is headline news, she has a fake fiance who does not see it as fake and her ex is back. Sooo...... She kisses him to say goodbye? Oh wait CLICK! The healine news has a new story and is having a field day with it. Dahlia life just got more complicated, that goodbye kiss brought out some long buried desires, a stalker, an angry father and old enemies. Leo and Dahlia together again only this time they have a child in tow

Mafia and Funny are not two things I think of in the same sentence normally but this book proves that a book can be both! This was a fun read about Leo and Dahlia these two are great together, the way they interacted when they met again after not seeing each other for ages still makes me smile when I think about it.
I have enjoyed all the books in this series but Leo's is my favourite to date. I thought Leo was generous and kind as well as being sweet and understanding but let's not forget sexy!
The story has intrigue, mystery, action, danger, as well as the family issues we've come to expect.
Hot Momosa is the fourth book in the Bourbon Street Bad Boys' Club series and is a fun mafia romantic comedy.
I loved this book and had a lot of laughs throughout. The characters are interesting and likable. The storyline is engaging and kept my interest from start to finish with humour, danger, a precocious child, chemistry, family, and a second chance for romance.
I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

This is the first book in this series that I've read, but it was quite fun to read. While you wouldn't expect being around the mafia would contain humor, this book showed me different. Leo and Dahlia make a wonderful couple, and they show so much promise throughout the plot. I think that reading the other books in this series to get the full picture of the other characters that make up the Bourbon Street Bad Boys Club

The Marchionni brothers fall hard for their women but they always seem to make life hard for themselves. Leo has the biggest secret that he has tried to protect along with the woman who stole his heart. Dahlia's father doesn't want her to have anything to do with Leo and has tried to get her to marry Harrison but her heart belongs to Leo. Dahlia is being stalked and when Leo finds out he will do everything to protect her and their secret, even if it means the world will find out what he has been hiding. This is a great series.
This story is a stand-alone, but it is part of a series, and you’d probably get more out of it if you have read the stories before. That says, this is still a satisfying read. The author doesn’t show her hand too soon, so you don’t know who the stalker is until near the end. And, of course, there’s the sweetest happy ending. All-in-all, a great family-drama, romantic suspense novel.
What you need to know: this book contains no cheating, no cliff-hangers and a HEA.
The extra: I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too. Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

Another brother finds love. I love all of the books in this series but this was my favorite so far. Leo didn’t seem like a typical ex-mafioso. He was sweet, kind. loving, generous, and understanding. I loved the intrigue. And Gunnar, what a cutie. Now we just need to wait for Dante to get his happily ever after. I fell right back into these stories and did not want to leave the Marchionni boys. You always wondered how close Leo and Dahlia really are and this answers that question. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the story and could not believe the twists and turns. I cannot wait to see what will happen with Dante next.

I enjoyed listening to this book. It had the right amount of drama, romance, humor, steam, and suspense. It also got bunch of quirky characters who were super fun to get know.
The story was well-written and easy to follow. I haven’t read the other books in the series and I didn’t get lost and confused with who’s who.
As always, Aaron Shedlock did a fantastic job with his narration. His performance’s flawless. Ava Lucas did the same. She was perfect for the role of Dahlia.

Leo's story is now out and was a fun read. Leo and Dahlia were a hoot as they interact after not seeing each other for awhile. Add in mystery, action, danger, family issues, and a cute kid. I laughed and groaned through most of the story was was entertained. Just a good addition to the series.
