Lacy Merrick and her team have a new mission; find the man behind a black-market operation who helped fund the thwarted attack in Beijing. However, what the clandestine task force discovers is a more troubling problem. The organization and the man behind it is funding terror by selling stolen US intellectual property to rogue regimes.

When they get too close, the operation funded by government interests in Eastern Europe, implements its so-called Ghost Nation protocol and goes dark. The trail cools until Lacy encounters a potential ally, a cyber hacker known only as Graybear, whose motives remain unclear.

When Trevor Axell, head of the task force, along with Will Caison and Aaron Hunter home in on the hacker’s identity and the whereabouts of their target, it is Lacy who finds herself in danger as she strikes out on her own for answers.

In this fourth installment of the Lacy Merrick Thrillers, Robin Mahle continues the action-packed adventure that finds the task force facing a greater threat than ever before, the threat of losing one of their own.

Twists & turns and very intelligent and cleverly written thriller.
X-Data-analyst and now agent Lacy Merrick along with agents Caison, Aaron Hacker and Jay Merrick headed by Trevor Axell, head of the task force of a covert task force appointed by the president are on a mission hunting down a man believed to be Russian or Russian Mafia and other unknown parties who are behind a black market operation.
However Lacy and the task force discovers that there is a much more troubling problem being a organisation and two men who are funding terror groups by selling stolen US intellectual property and documents to the highest bidder on the black market
The Russians are always keeping one step ahead and Lacy plays a very dangerous cat and mouse game when contacted and hacked by someone only known as “Gray Bear” he seems to be on their side; but is he as his motives are unclear?
When the team eventually starts getting close, the operation which is funded by government interests in Eastern Europe, implements its so-called Ghost Nation protocol and goes dark. The trail then cools until Lacy learns the truth about Gray Bear who is a very rich and a cyber hacker.
With threats of cyber intrusion and stolen information taken by Daria Liski working for the opposition things really hot up. The team gets help along the way from Balfour and the CIA but it is Lacy who is the centre of and plot. There is a lot of who is friend and who are foe; who to trust and who to not. Also added to all this relationships start building with Lacy and another members within the team
A well written and executed story about powerful enemies who seem to have all the necessary resources and knowhow to always be in front of the team. The more I read, the more I got hooked.

GHOST. NATION. Robin Mehle....Lacy Merrick # 4
They agreed it was not who runs the CIA, but who inside would sell their
patriotism. Abramov leaving tells Koslov plan on running the organization, he would supply. Is Moscow going to protect him, on his funding terriorists activities in the US. Lady Merrick and her team, while Will is wanting to go in and eliminate him for sponsoring terrorisms.
Once again the author has given us a tense plot, Lacy is the key person in her special task team. Full of subterfuge, action, wanting to keep her team and country safe. Powerful story once again by the author
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Once again Robin has hit the mark. This latest episode on the life of FBI analyst Lacy Merrick, is nothing short of amazing.
Still a vital part of the special task force Lacy finds herself in the thick of the it.
Full of subterfuge and action packed all the way she still has to juggle her role as a mother and her work ,attempting to protect, not only the family she loves but her country too.
I was drawn to this story from the outset and there were more than enough twists and turns in the plot to keep even the most avid reader on their toes.
Most definitely highly recommended.

Ghost Nation is another action packed thriller in the Lacy Merrick series. This time, Lacy and her team are hunting Russians that are up to no good. I love the intrigue and how the team works together. I even like being worried about Lacy when she sticks herself out there too far for comfort. This is definitely a five star book.

Another amazing series from Robin Mahle

Fourth book in the Lacy Merrick series. Suspenseful, exciting with twists and turns . Just like the Kate Reid books lacy Merrick is a strong woman who has gone through a lot of trauma in her life and came out strong and resourceful. Highly recommend this series.

What is involved in creating a Ghost Nation???

This was a very enjoyable book and I highly recommend all four books of this series, full of mystery, suspense, intrigue and whodunits, plus. Persons who enjoy reading of FBI and CIA stories will love this series. Gave 5 stars because I couldn't put this book down and wish there were more books in the series.

I usually don't read 'spy' or government type stories. I did read this one because I like the author's writing style. Those who like undercover government workers who will stop at almost nothing to get the job done will probably like this story. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.

Robin Mahle...enough said

Robin Mahle is right up there in the ranks with Baldacci and Patterson. I absolutely adore her series (plural). Political thrillers are my passion and she knocks it out of the ballpark once more. Can't wait for the next releases

Lacy is back again, with the team tracking down the man behind the bombings.
Loads of double and tipple crosses to keep you guessing about who the mysterious Greybear is and what/who is actually who they say they are.

I received a free copy of this book

Full of action, love the characters
It has been a few years since this one was written but I hope there will be more. It did wrap up to some degree but there is more to tell.

Penultimate Read

This was the best book in the series. I hope that Lacy Merrick will be back for another villain and she will keep maturing as a character.
