As usual Xandie is up to her neck in dead bodies. The pet show has come to town. Elspeth has gotten herself a familiar pug. She has amped him up a little bit. Small, sassy and full of ego. Colin is the heart of getting into trouble. Elspeth gets in trouble and can't participate in the show so Xandie takes her place showing Colin. The usual winner is found turned to stone as well as her familiar. Then more bodies are dropping like stones! Xandies Aunt Amelia is being set up as the suspect. Xandie is going to find out who is killing the contestants and show her Aunt is innocent. Lots of twists and turns with unpredictable ending. A great cozy mystery. Time for a hot chocolate and cookie and a comfortable place to sit. This is a curl up and relax mystery. Love this series of books. Biting my nails to find out what's happening next. Received ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

Things are never dull in Point Muse. There is a pet show going on and Xandie’s grandmother Elspeth is entering a magically enhanced pub, Colin, who talks, eats, farts and is a general pain.
Her Aunt Amelia is against the show and when a participant is found stoned, she is the main suspect. Xandie, of course, cannot let her aunt be charged so must find the murderer.
There are all types of magical animals, from unicorns, lavender rabbits, a golden goose and more. There is also backstabbing, blackmail, debt collectors, mystery and an ASP agent hanging around.
The characters and their interactions are priceless, Elspeth is a dangerous hoot and Colin can be downright disgusting.
Secrets abound and Xandie has her hands full.
A fun, quick, easy read. Very enjoyable.

I’m done with this series. Poor writing aside, this 3rd installment was irritating on its own. Colin, the stinky, obnoxious talking dog has no redeeming qualities. None. He adds nothing to the story to warrant his characterization. A plain dog would have sufficed. The mystery is weak. And there were so many bits that simply went no where. Like the ASP agent at the end. It didn’t add a thing. Holly’s weird appearance at the end. This story was so discombobulated it was annoying. On to better things..

The S.P.A.F.S. pet show comes to Point Muse and there’s also a new resort in town. Xandie knows some aren’t happy with either event and when the front runner in the pet show gets turned to stone, Xandie knows she needs to find the culprit. Elspeth creates a snarky pug and Xandie must go undercover with it in the pet show to figure it all out. If you like humor, witches, crazy critters and an all around good time, this book is for you!

Tons of Imagination

Another excellent installment in the Point Muse series. Kelly Ethan has the ability to create a story with great plots as well with a nice balance of humor. I do have one small issue in that the book is set in the U.S. yet there are instances where the American word usage is not quite right. This really isn't a major issue but I thought I would mention it. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

Being a librarian is usually a quiet and peaceful job. However, when you are the librarian for the ancient Library, it is anything but peaceful. This story has danger, thrills, chills and lots of humor. You will laugh at the antics of the people and the animals. Love this series, it will tickle your funny bone and leave you glad you took time to read the book.

Another chaotic day in the life of the Librarian of the supernatural Great Library of Alexandria. Another day, another body seems to be the tag line of Xandie’s life! The antics of Elspeth, Xandie’s grandmother, and her toxic pug, Colin are a laugh a minute! I loved the descriptions! And that bit of foreshadowing at the end only makes me extremely excited for the next book!

The Opening of the new Point Muse Springs Resort and a Pet Show being held there makes for a lot of kaos and there is a monster on the loose and a murder to solve. So once again our trusty librarian turns to her sleuthing self and tries to find out what is going on at the Resort as well as the death at the Pet Show. It is another wacky Harrow family story.

Not the best one

I enjoyed the books before this one! The pet show is just boring, and the names kept me confused, Lorelei and Lulu were hard to keep straight in my head. I read 50% and just had to stop. The writing is good, but I couldn’t get into it. I suggest skipping to the next book in the series, which is what I’m doing! Sorry, I don’t like giving a bad review!

A witchy fun filled romp in the world of the super competitive, not so nice witches. Still I fell in love with them! It’s for all to enjoy, as its imaginative and descriptive it’s like being there minus the pug odour. Which is a good thing. Some blasphemy.

What'ssss going on here???
This story had me laughing to tears! A fantastic whodunit with all sorts of crazy pets and mishaps! I could totally envision the multi-coloured unicorns, rabbits and dogs. And, thankfully, was saved from smelling the radioactive farts...lol. Loved, loved LOVED it!

Loved it.

I do dog shows so I loved all the quirky ways a pet show was out into this book. It seems like the sheriff is still two steps behind. Loved it.
