Physical, emotional, and psychological abuse were all the things Alina Matthews went through at the hands of her long time boyfriend Justin. Fed up and done with everything, Alina was ready to throw in the towel until she realized that she had no one in her corner. That was until she crosses paths with Russell “Dolo” Jones. Dolo could tell that something wasn’t right Alina from the first time he saw her. All he knew was that he wanted to help her with whatever he could. Friendship slowly establishes but what happens when Alina feels that her scars and imperfections are too much for him to take on as a friend or anything else. Take the journey with Alina and Dolo as he does his best to show Alina that there is really no scars to her beauty or how beautiful she is.

Life after Abuse

I loved the fact that Alina took her first real chance to escape. She was no one’s victim. Enjoyed reading this book.
