How can we make grace a greater enabling power in our lives and more fully participate in the Savior's atoning gift? In Lord, How Is It Done? , author Ken Gibson introduces five principles to help readers confront the trials of mortality most of us feel ill-equipped to resolve because we simply don't know the answer to this overarching question of how. The author draws upon Enos's experience of asking, Lord, how is it done? and illustrates what it means to experience the Savior's Atonement and lay claim to the promises of peace He has given. Readers are invited not just to come unto Christ but also to learn line upon line how it is done. The principles taught in this book are designed to illuminate the pathway to enduring peace and spiritual prosperity for all whose souls hunger.
This was a really good book by Ken Gibson. I really liked how he divided it into five principles to help us to access the Atonement more. I also liked how at the end of each section he gave us some questions to help us self-evaluate where we are at and how we can improve. I think this is a great book for anyone who wants to draw nearer to Christ and to find happiness even during hard times.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
I enjoyed this book as a reminder that we can have and should seek personal experiences with the love and grace of Jesus. This is how we come to know Him. Another great lesson for me in this book is that we choose our outlook in all that happens to us in life even when our pain is self-induced by sin. Grace is such a hard topic for humans to comprehend. Perhaps that is for a reason. It is when we experience grace that we marcel at it and it’s Source!
I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, because sometimes I felt like the writing was a little hard to get through, but that could also just be me being distracted easily while reading, so...
The content of this book, however, is life changing. But also simple? I guess that's how a lot of gospel things are.
Great insight into how we can personally relate to the atonement of Jesus Christ and apply it to our lives. There are many thoughts in this book that helped me relate to the sacrifice of the Savior on a more personal level.
I listened to the audio CD version. A significant book with many things that are both good and hard to hear, since the author points out we each have work to do. Highly recommend.
