This is a very dense and sometimes painfully dull and overly detailed book, but it is definitely the most comprehensive and thorough book on the Ma & Pa Railroad. You might find yourself skimming pages at a time. There are a ton of interesting photos and copies of old tickets and train schedules. Growing up in Baldwin and then living in Towson, it's very interesting imagining what life was once like when an antique railroad once connected the two towns to Baltimore and Pennsylvania. I had fun looking at the old photos and trying to imagine where exactly they were taken and actually recognizing some buildings that are still standing today.
