Dangerous and debilitating illnesses among the omegas of Angel Hills Pack cause concern for pack alpha Grey and his long-time beta mate, Ian. Grey must decide if he’s willing to let their omega mate, Gabriel, take the antidote offered by the human doctors in Cascade City or risk never allowing the omega to reproduce again. Meanwhile, Duncan’s relationship with Canaan confuses him; Roanan struggles with a new mate and three teens, one of them an omega; and two new omegas arrive from the city.

Contains A/B/O wolf shifter dynamics and m-preg.

The third and final book of the Angel Hills series, Winter’s End follows characters introduced in the first two books. This series must be read in order for complete understanding and enjoyment. However, reading the River Wolf Pack or Cascade Cities series is not required.

I’ll start saying this was absolutely a delightful series. It felt whole, with an amazingly positive vibe. Every character had a clear place and voice. I felt deeply involved with every family.

Grey shows to be a consistently good pack leader. His decisions to combine alpha’s and omega are just great even where I had my questions. He was loyal and kind, forgiving, and honest. His mates were everything to him.

After following the pack through this series I desperately needed some couples together and thank goodness I wasn’t disappointed!

There are a lot of pregnancies and pups and oh boy it was all fun.

New pack members were welcomed and some were leaving, whatever it was it felt good and natural. The series had a good proportion of hurt/comfort, a lot of, read: a-lot-of delicious sexual activity, with the most engaging characters. I fell in love with this pack, with all its flaws, from first sight! They were dedicated and committed just like a good pack should be.

The whole series was wonderfully written, enormously captivating, I couldn’t stop reading.

Did I like it, YES! Did I want it to end NO! But I know it had to stop at some point and the time of ending was perfect, I couldn’t wish better!

I could not be happier with the way this ended. There have been so many things that have just went wrong throughout all the packs and it’s good to finally see things taking a turn for the better. It doesn’t mean there are bad moments. There’s one in particular that breaks my heart. But things are definitely getting better and the pack is thriving once again.
This story is told from several different perspectives and I’ve loved that from the beginning. Because I love to see how everyone feels. Not just one person. Especially with a pack this big and so many different opinions. Things haven’t been great for some. And they’ve finally started learning the reasons why. The humans have been messing with them in more than just a few things. And because of it, many have suffered. But thanks to the work from River and his pack working with some of the humans, they are now finding ways to cure some of the effects of what was done to certain shifters. And because of it, things are changing. Some things are easy changes, some are not. It’s hard to accept growing up and it’s hard to accept that maybe what you’ve really wanted all along has been in front of you all along. For almost everyone in the pack, something new has come along, and whether for good or bad, growing up and changes are here.
I loved this story on so many different levels. For one, it was good to see Canaan growing up and realizing his mistakes in things. It was sad that he had to finally come to terms with his loss in it but because of it, he’s finally got a surprise or two in store for him. Grey, Ian, and Gabe have been miserable because of a decision they had to come to with Gabe’s heats, but thanks to the new meds, things are changing for them, and in more ways than one. Something they thought would never happened, has finally happened and they are ecstatic. Ian’s brother, Roanan, has got a new omega, which no one ever thought they’d see again, and life in that household has just gotten more interesting as well. I’m not saying any of this to give stuff away. Please don’t think that. But these are just a few of the shifters who have went through some horrors at things going on and it’s been so wonderful to see things turning around finally. It’s been shocking in some ways too, because of the things no one had ever thought to see. But it’s what has made this story so beautiful. They’ve taken the unexpected and because of it, they’ve grown and becoming the pack they’ve missed being.
I really could not be more happier at the ending of this. I know there’s more to come and I can’t wait to see how things go from here.

The men of the Angel Hills pack are all working towards their happy endings. Even Canaan. The last book of the series wrapped up most everyone’s story.

This book was much more engaging than the other two in the series. Almost a different style of writing. I got into the world that the author created and read the book in one sitting. The characters were well rounded out and the pups were so darn cute. A bit of mystery remains but not enough to detract from the overall arch of the books. Some drama but again it was perfectly in keeping with the storyline. All three books must be read to enjoy the story.

3.5 Stars ~ The opportunity to return to Angel Hills and not only check on my favorite couples but to also discover the mystery behind why so many omegas were having problems with bearing pups was almost more than I could stand. ‘River Wolf Pack’ and its subsequent offshoots, ‘Angel Hills Pack’ and ‘Cascade City Pack’, were some of the very first shifter mpreg stories that I ever read and I was hooked from the beginning.

The author has written some very memorable characters and I’ve got a fondness for each one: Grey, Ian, and Gabriel, Christopher and Xavier, Justin and Milo, Roanan and Emory, and my very favorite of them all, Duncan and Canaan. I loved how the author wrote each chapter from a different main character perspective as I really got the opportunity to see and feel what each man was going through. Angel Hills is growing steadily with Grey as an incredible alpha and the new omegas bringing new life to its ranks.

"Winter's End" is the last volume of our adventure with Rebecca James's "Angel Hills Pack" series. For the most part, the novel focuses on closing most of the open threads, so we won't find too many great problems in this installment that would dominate the plot. Nevertheless, in this part several new characters appear, and hence we learn their stories. Unfortunately, they don't really have the opportunity to be developed to the extent that I would consider completely satisfactory. Those stories are more like an addition to fill the space between those of other characters. However, it doesn't mean that they are not interesting, quite the opposite. "Winter's End" is the last volume of the series, but it is definitely not a novel that would tightly close all the threads so that there is no chance for any further development of the characters' story or fanfiction. It's definitely important, because in this book there is a problem of people destroying the compound of various packs of werewolves and killing them, which forces the werewolves to flee and seek shelter elsewhere. I really regret that the series doesn't develop this topic and ends so quickly, as it really could be a little longer.

What I like the most about "Winter's End" is the relationship between Duncan and Canaan, which is one of the best-built relationships I've read about. I'm very happy that the author gave their love time to be born and grow up. In the novels like this one, feelings usually appear incredibly quickly and are not always justified. They resemble a sand castle. In the case of Duncan and Canaan, however, we are dealing with a real impregnable fortress. The two had a chance to get to know each other really well, as they went through the "dating" phase (at least to some extent, even if they were not aware of it) and a kind of "engagement" phase. The way their relationship has evolved through their numerous meetings and intercourse is amazing and beautiful. Even more so that they both affected each other, changed under the influence of the other person. If someone didn't like these two in the previous volume, reading "Winter's End" they will immediately change his mind.

I think that reviewing "Winter's End" it is also worth mentioning the changes that have taken place in Gabriel's reasoning and his perception not only of himself, but also of omega in general. When we started our adventure with "Angel Hills Pack", Gabriel didn't believe in himself, he thought that omega werewolves were seen only as "living incubators". Throughout the series, however, it has changed significantly and in this volume we see it very clearly. He is the first omega and fulfills his duties with pride and definitely greater confidence than before. What's more, he finally fully understands the importance the omega werewolves for the pack, its functioning and proper development. Gabriel is the best example of Rebecca James being able to build her characters perfectly and giving them her whole heart.

To sum up, "Winter's End" is maybe not perfect, but it's definitely not the worst ending of the series. Thanks to this volume, readers can fall in love with the characters even deeper, and at the same time miss them more. Personally, I can't accept the fact that this is the end of "Angel Hills Pack". I want more!

W przypadku Duncana i Canaana mamy jednak do czynienia z prawdziwą niezdobytą fortecą.

This is the last book in the Angel Hills Pack trilogy and as such the plot of the story basically focuses on tying up all the loose ends, nothing really happens in this book. It is like the last hurrah for all these characters.

This series had so much potential but for me, it seems to have just gone downhill from the first book. I lot of storylines I wanted to see explored in this series were mostly resolved the easy way and didn't herald the more serious introspection I was looking forward too. Anyhow, that was more about the second book because in this one there isn't any conflict in the story at all, it's all just happiness all around and basically the book is just one giant epilogue for these characters.

We follow the following couples in this book:
1. Gabriel, Ian and Grey - from Gabriel and Ian's POV though we get one chapter from Grey's POV
2. Roanan and Emory - from both POVs
3. Christopher and Xavier - from both POVs
4. Canaan and Duncan - from both POVs
5. Grant and Keith - from both POVs

So, we follow all the characters from the previous book except instead of Vincent, Kale and Craig we get Josh, Grant and Keith.

Josh is Roanan's omega son from his first mate and he is just about the age where he is expected to hit his first heat which puts him in a vulnerable position and his friendship with Grant, a young alpha is put under scrutiny. Grant and Josh are friends but given their opposing instincts, Roanan is protective of his son because he fears that Josh will lose his options were he to enter heat in the vicinity of Grant.

This particular thread of story made me feel a little bitter for the characters' circumstances. The only reason Josh and Grant can't be friends is that Josh is an omega and Grant is an alpha and both are too young to control their instincts. Josh definitely wants more from their relationship but he never gets to find out as Grant is offered to mate with one of the two new omegas who have arrived in the Angel Hills pack.

So, Grant and Keith are mated to each other but we don't get much from these two. I felt like Keith's prior independence and maturity could create some tension between these two characters but their relationship is barely explored, I can't even say for sure that they love each other.

Roanan's POV is intensely focused on his son, Josh and his coming of age which was very refreshing but instead of really strengthening the bond between father and son, Roanan keeps introducing proxies in Josh's life to be his father instead of stepping in himself. I would have loved to see Roanan just hug his son and sympathise with him while he was in such a vulnerable position, he obviously cares for his son and fears losing him. Again, this was an excellent opportunity to really showcase a parental bond but the story doesn't actually do that which is weird because what was even the point of having this be Roanan's main storyline if you weren't going to go there.

I liked that we got Emory's perspective and I loved to see that he's recovering from all his ordeals. Emory deserves happiness and I was happy with what the book does with his storyline.

The best couple of this book would have to be Canaan and Duncan. I have really come to love Canaan in this series which is a complete turn of events from the jerk I thought he was in the River Wolf Pack. Canaan is amazing and I love how slowly but surely Duncan is coming to realise that as well. I am really happy with their story, it seems perfect that they have come together to be this family unit.

Christopher and Xavier's story has been really interesting and it doesn't actually get resolved in this book because guess what Xavier is headed back to River's pack and that means we will be exploring more about these characters in the final Cascade City Pack and I'm really looking forward to that. Somehow, Xavier heading back to River seems like the best decision anyone made in this book because it was the event that made me happiest. Here's wishing these two all the best in their future adventures.

Now, coming down to the last and pivotal relationship in this series that of Gabriel, Grey and Ian. I really loved these three in "Omega Arrival" but the intense disappointment of "Ripples of Threat" is still reverberating through my heart. I love Ian and I love Ian with Gabriel and Ian with Grey but I really don't seem to like either Gabriel or Grey. I don't know why that is. Gabriel was someone I adored in the first book but I feel like he has lost everything that made him interesting along this journey. With Grey I have a good idea why I don't like him all that much, Grey had the supreme opportunity to really be an alpha to defeat his insecurities and rise above them, he could have had the most amazing character arc of finding that his worthiness comes from within instead he never gets to even face the challenges that would have gotten him there. I feel like even if the author didn't want to make Grey infertile he could have atleast been faced with the possibility of it that could also have led to a lot of character growth but instead zilch, nada.

Ian is the only character of these three who managed to retain every vital thing about his characterisation and he always shines through. I'm happy for Ian, I like where we left him.

Although the author does seem to imply some future drama if Finny ends up being an alpha which could definitely be intriguing but I'm scared that the author might just lead us on to ultimately have Finny present as a beta, thus never allowing Grey to face a single challenge to rise above.

This trilogy has been a good read, I really like Rebecca James' style of writing because even though there wasn't much in the way of plot, the story still had me very invested in the various characters. This one was a fast read and you would definitely want to read it if you have been following this series as the story atleast gives everyone a happy ending.

We've made it to the "conclusion" of the Angel Hills Pack series. I say this with a touch of sarcasm that I will explain shortly. Once again, Gray, Ian, and Gabriel are the essential triad, while Duncan and Canaan, Roanan and Emory, and young Christopher and X, are the remaining couples in need of some resolutions.

I do think this book was better written than the first two. However, I still don't enjoy the overcrowded plotlines. I really feel that the multiple story lines reduce the strength and development of the characters and the relationships.

As for the relationships, the only outcome I was remotely satisfied with was Roanan and Emory, and their family. I was extremely disappointed with the way the author chose to settle things between Duncan and Canaan. Sure, it was all "oh, how sweet, swoon..." In my opinion, that just totally destroyed the truth of what they had been building, and what they both needed from the other, and did a great disservice to one of my favorite couples.

Then, there is Christopher and X. This is a good time to explain my sarcasm about this being a conclusion. We have learned of the horrible things humans are doing to shifters, and both Christopher and Gabriel have been paying the price. Unfortunately, if you want answers more clear than mud, I'm afraid you will have to read the Cascade City Pack series. You'll also have to go there to find out what happens between X and Christopher. At this point, I'm not sure I really need to know that badly. I hate when authors present a group of books as self contained, even if it is a spin-off, and then you find out you have to do something else to tie up all the loose ends.

Anyway, there were some good parts, and some really disappointing parts, at least for me. Of course, the author had to bring in more new characters and form new pairings...at that point, I knew I was not going to continue down the rabbit hole. For fans of this author, I imagine this book and series was just great. But, as someone who had never read their work before, I can honestly say, I will probably go back to my blissful world of ignorance.

* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest opinion. *

Going into this book knowing it was the final for Angel Hills, I was expecting more conclusive results for the couples/triads in this pack. I wasn’t aware that I had to read a different series to fully understand what was going on. We knew Christopher was having problems at the end of book 2 but not why and then we get some kind of weird explanation that doesn’t really make much sense unless we read the other series and then they leave for Cascade City and we still don’t know the final outcome. I was also really disappointed with how the situation between Grant, Keith, and Josh was handled. While I enjoyed the outcome of Duncan and Canaan, I was sad too about it because I wanted their relationship to be different and all about the dynamic we got from the beginning. It felt like the final outcome was almost forced. The only good to come from this story was Ian.

I don’t usually give less then 3 stars but I was really disappointed in this final book and I don’t think I‘ll continue with Ms. James’s shifter series.

I was so looking forward to this book! I wanted to see reclusive, emotionally stunted Duncan brought to his knees by love, and the author not only gave me that, but also the adorable sight of the rough alpha all tender with a baby in his arms, added to his suprising sweetness toward Cannan. I loved it!

Although, really, everything about this book was fun. It's an incredible ending to the Angel Hills Pack series, with less drama than I found in the previous installments. Never boring, because some pack members left, new ones arrived, established couples and triads got stronger while others were only just forming. Multiple points of view, again, which I appreciated, a whole range of emotions, moments of calm affection balanced with hot, steamy ones, and the cutest pups in the world.

Great, nicely wrapped series. Recommended.

Sadly this is the final book in the “Angel Hills Pack” Series & I would suggest reading the books in sequence to fully understand the underlying story-line & plot. The characters are interesting with fairly good chemistry between them but at times there is some emotional turmoil and/or anguish. In particular, I liked how the various characters continued to develop throughout the story-line. The plot is intriguing with some unexpected situation/events.
There is: wolf shifters, pack dynamics, alphas, betas, omegas, new arrivals, triad relationships, couples, medical issues, antidotes, drama, twists & turns, intrigue, some suspense, attractions, disagreements, devastating memories, complications, compromises, love, contentment, some steam & a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this series & would recommend it to people who like to read interesting Mpreg shifter genres.

This last book in the Angel Hills Trilogy finalizes the story for the different relationships in the Angel Hills Pack. I have to say, I wasn’t very happy with most of the couples in this book and I thought it was a disappointing way to end the trilogy.

My favorite couple in this novel were Roanan and Emory. Emory can’t speak and he struggles to be a second parent to Roanan’s kids who range in ages up to nearly 18 years old. I wanted this couple to succeed, and I was happy how the family started to truly include Emory and work on helping him to speak. I wish I could get a full book about this one family!

Christopher and Xavier were one of my favorite couples in this series, but I didn’t like them that much in this book. Christopher is a young Beta who has very little sexual experience, and in his first time actually having sex with Xavier he was in intense pain. He secretly went to doctors to ask them what was wrong with him, but it took a while for him to actually come to Xavier about it. This seems unrealistic at best, and problematic at most. If you are in that intimate of a position with someone, why wouldn’t you realize if they are literally crying in pain? And then there is still the gigantic age difference between Christopher and Xavier to deal with. So Christopher is adult enough to be in a relationship with someone much much older than him, but he isn’t adult enough to speak out when he is in physical pain during sex?

The most disappointing part of this book was when Josh’s best friend Grant was mated to a random new omega rather than Josh. Josh and Grant had been friends since childhood, and Josh was literally fully prepared to present as an Omega. Josh’s dad Roanan was trying to keep him from Grant so that Josh wouldn’t go into heat or Grant wouldn’t go into rut around each other, but this made barely any sense to me. I feel like they could have been able to see each other with some slight supervision/someone checking in from time to time to make sure that everything was going well. And then Grey just gives Grant to a new omega, knowing that Josh and Grant had been friends since they were children. It made no sense, and it hurt Josh. But this was blown over in the plotline, and no resolution was ever made. Grant was just happy with his new Omega and Josh was left to his own devices without a mate. My heart = broken.

I liked Duncan and Canaan’s relationship, but they weren’t that memorable to me. I enjoyed seeing how Grey, Ian, and Gabriel loved their new pups, but again, I didn’t feel like they were as memorable as the not-so-great other couples in this book.

Overall, I would not really recommend this novel. It’s sad, as I really enjoyed this series! I might actually go back and read the books from the previous series to see the characters before these novels.

I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Winter's End is the conclusion to Rebecca James's Angel Hill series - IT IS NOT A STANDALONE!!!
The book wraps up the couples and throuples we met in the previous books. New mates are introduced.
This book packs a lot into it's 190 pages. There are relationships to resolve, new matings, more cubs and lot and lot of steam!
My only disappointment was the mating of an alpha we previously met, to a new omega pack member. I was little disheartened by this pairing as I had envisioned a different outcome for this alpha.
I was saddened to see one of my favourite couples leave Angel Hill, but have no doubt that we will meet again in Cascade City.

I totally loved the latest in the series, Winter’s End. It was super romantic in comparison, totally hot and sexy, and more couples and even more new people added to the pack. I love that Grey, Ian and Gabriel were still the main characters. I loved learning more about Roanin and Emory, plus his maturing children. I like the Omega Den, so much more than I first thought. And the romance between Canaan and Duncan went from harsh and total sex, to just a bit more. I definitely recommend and I hope there’s more to come.

They are still fighting the humans because of the things that they are doing to the packs and omegas, but now they have human help and they are all working to make sure that the humans don’t win. Being able to save more omegas. More omegas show up and are mated to help the pack grow with more pups. Loved this one the most because of the love that that pack shows to each other not matter who they are mated too.

Overall, enjoyable series.

I did really enjoy this book, but was a little sadden that one of my favorite couples left the pack and there wasn’t really an ending for them… at least in the way I was hoping. I loved how this series follow so many couples and is able to still continue a main story line. This story was mostly to wrap up all the couples and even some new ones. I really liked Duncan and Canaan as well and loved following their growth.

The story continues with more pack mates being added. I especially loved getting to know more about Duncan and Caanan, those two were perfect for each other. Ian’s brother finds himself a new mate! I loved how Rebecca James wrapped up the story lines of about everyone.

I Enjoyed This One

I enjoyed this book more then the others in the series.. Mainly because I don't really like a lot of angst and drama in my shifter books, it often gets to repetitive.
This series ended well, I must say Canaan and Duncan were my favorite couple in the end, I think there relationship blossomed the most to me. And Emory my favorite character, he was just so sweet.

I really enjoyed,but

Why 2 stars? I loved all three books! Then why only 2 stars because while I enjoyed the books they all were very busy so much going on that something was lost each book ended abruptly and not answering all the questions like who is Joey? We will never know the series ended and what happened with Josh!!! I felt I could not really get to know the characters hopping about the way the story was! 😥

What a fantastic, beautiful, grab-you-by-the-feels, amazing, tug-at-your-heartstrings, poignant, engaging, emotionally charged, bittersweet, heartbreaking yet hopeful, excellent, lovely, wonderful, sexy, and totally awesome end to this marvelous series. I was hooked from the very first page, and I really hated to see it end. I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this ASAP!!

Kind of a let down.

I have to say I was saddened by the direction the author took with some of the characters here. With others it has led me to want to read the other series but only for more information. I was so excited to read this and the others and now it’s more so I can get closure. With such a fascinating world and relationships with so much potential I was hoping for more.

Winter's End by Rebecca James is the third book in the Angel Hills series. This shifter more story is amazingly easy to fall into. There's a bit of sweet, a lot of heat, some drama, and a touch of suspense. Fantastic Story and characters, I love the world of pack built in this series....fascinaing.

Amazing series

Loved this series. I was excited to read this book and was so glad I did. Loved all the characters and the storylines are great I enjoyed that all the characters are in all the books I love reading about how they do. Great adventure. Can’t wait from this author

As the final book, I was slightly disappointed. I was hoping for more of a "what's causing the issue" rather than "Oh this COULD be happening, take this medicine." I just didn't feel the finality of some of the story lines. It is a good book though. I just expected slightly more insight.

I loved this series and all the interesting interplay between the characters. I think this book could have used just a little more...I don't really know but just more to make this ending more satisfying. Overall, a good book and great series.

Such a great read. In this conclusion we see our characters get a happy ever after. Although there were a lot of question left unanswered and there were some things left open it was a great story. I really enjoyed reading this series.

This is the last book and I was disappointed at the how it ended. I was hoping with this book we would get just one couple and clear up some answers. But it’s just like book 1-2 and something where still not clear it looks like you and to read the other two series first before you read this one.

Adore this series

I’ve always loved this shifter world that Rebecca James has created and I’m hoping that this isn’t the last we hear about these characters. Crossed fingers for more.

I’m sorry to see the series end. It was a wonderful, incredible journey. Seeing the pack grow and fall in love was just beautiful. I really hope there will be more books. I highly recommend the entire series. You will not be disappointed!
