Thirteen artifacts stand between me and control of the realm. Collecting them will be my pleasure. After telling off my boss, chasing after my sexy officemate, and getting pulled through an interdimensional portal, I deserve a break. And I'm about to get a big one. The strange world I've traveled to feels familiar. It should—I've spent most of my life reading graphic novels about it. Armed with my knowledge of the fantastical creatures—and the uninhibited women—I know I'll encounter here in Alara, there's no way I'm ever going home. Instead, I'm setting sail to acquire all the artifacts and conquer this world. But am I ready to learn the unsettling secret that threatens everything? I guess I'll just have to drink, plunder, and [censored] my way to finding out. This book is not for the faint of heart. If you aren't ready for explicit harem content, sit this one out.
No rating. Put on the DNF shelf at the 20% mark. I couldn't get into it at all. I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story. I actually checked to see if this was the 2nd or 3rd book of a serial.
In a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or maybe the right place at the right time, Malcolm gets pulled through a portal to the Alara, the world in his favorite graphic novel. Recently unemployed and without much for family or friends, Malcolm decides to stay and make the best of things, beginning what promises to be a series of adventures with some romance along the way. And who wouldn't, with a free-spirited, smart-alecky and beautiful companion like Val. I think she might have some competition before we reach the end of this saga and that'll makes it even better.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was pleasantly surprised. The story and characters were awesome and had more to them then I was expecting. The cover would lead you to believe this is a book just about sex, but it is much more then that. Give it a try if you like fantasy mixed with adult themes.
I enjoyed reading this book the story is intriguing and I look forward to the world building in the series. The characters have the potential to be very entertaining. Overall I enjoyed this book.
