A detailed explanation of 42 sleep problems--from snoring and jet lag to breathing problems and insomnia--and information on how to overcome them. A special section on laboratory-tested methods for falling asleep without pills. Intriguing new information how the brain works during sleep, how couples sleep together, sleep styles and rituals, sleep cycles and life cycles, sleep profiles, what happens in a sleep laboratory, and much more.
As the title implies, this is a complete book of sleep. It's very thorough about the sleep problems people encounter, the remedies these problems can have, and the effect that our behaviour during the day has on our sleep. It also mentions quite a few scientific studies and is pretty well sourced from what I've seen, so all in all, it's a very solid book. It is a tad wordy, but if it can keep a high school student such as myself engaged, it's likely not going to bore you either. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about their sleep and the good habits they can form to make their sleep more enjoyable and rewarding. I personally applied some of the information within, such as keeping your bed for bed related activities, eating less around your bedtime, and creating a night time routine in my own life to help me, and there's a lot of information about various sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, and narcolepsy, so I'm sure you could find information relevant to yourself as well.
