perfectly articulates and explains the mysteries of the logline

Lots of books offer templates on writing a logline but not many can explain what pecisely is required, why and why your loglines are falling into common traps.

naomi breaks it down in a way that it (finally!) makes sense. and instead of offering one template that may or may not work for you, she gives you ten as well as several other variations along the way.

I've read a ton of books on writing and screenwriting and many have been useful but few conveyed the information so clearly in a nuts and bolts, no nonsense way.

I'm definitely buying her other book and can't wait to finish watching her vids on youtube. she's a remarkable educator and really has a gift for clarity.

Clear and effective advice

The short book does as advertised: it teaches how to write an effective log-line, either for development (getting a clear idea of one’s own project) or for pitching the project to someone. The writing is clear, the advice is very practical and concrete, and there is a wealth of examples.

Apparently there's not a lot of books talking about and showing you how to write loglines. The existence of this book almost feels like a present. It's practical, concise, and covers pretty much the necessary stuff. I reference this book in my screenwriting fundamentals class. Very helpful!
