For the criminally insane, there are only a few type of days: they have their bad days, their worse days, and then they have the kind of day when they wake up covered in someone else’s congealed blood, with a bloody knife tucked under their pillow like a gift from the murder fairy. Eight-year-old Jillybean was having that kind of day. To make matters worse, she couldn’t remember who she had killed or why? The previous night was a complete blank. A normal person might have embarked on an investigation to clear their name—the thought never occurred to Jillybean. All she cared about was finding that damned body and hiding the evidence before the people of Bainbridge realized that she was crazier than any of them guessed.
Peter Meredith is the multi-genre author of an author of 35 novels in a variety of genres: Horror, zombies, post-apocalypse and Fantasy. Some of his creative work includes The Trilogy of Void, The Hidden Lands series, The Sacrificial Daughter, A Perfect America, Sprite and The Apocalypse Undead World. Having tried his hand in real estate, as an emergency room nurse, and a CEO of a national lighting company, he has come to find that his true addiction is as an author.
Outstanding! That's what means it was really good!
Jillybean! I just love her to pieces! And we get visits from Eve and Sadie too. Even Ipes makes a brief appearance! All the author's favorite characters make a brief appearance as Jillybean has to catch a killer, cure a poisoning and thwart a bunch of pirates and raiders. All in a day's work.
Another peek into the brilliant mind of my favorite 8 year old genius. Excellent storyline, pulse pounding action and great detective work! Really, really great read! Grab it up! Getcha some!
This was the best and most heart rending zombie series I have ever read.... and that encompasses many. Bravo, Peter, and I will be reading as many more of your books as God grants me the time to read... I am in my seventies now and only read what I truly enjoy... That includes Brad Thor, Clive Cussler, David Baldacci, Matt Rogers, Dean Koontz, and a hos of all known and lesser known by superb authors... Vince Flynn, David Hagberg, David Morrell, Catherine Coulter, Iris Johansen, Stephen King, as well as Eric Lusterbader ,Shayne Silvers, Laurell K. Hamilton , and numerous others I cannot recall at this moment all deserve a mention or a dozen mentions.
I seriously don't think I could ever tire of reading stories about Jillybean. Once again, Peter Meredith has created another story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Even when I wasn't reading it, I'd catch myself wondering how Jillybean could get out of the situations she would be in. Anyways, thanks again Peter Meredith! I honestly pray this isnt the last book I will read about The Mad Queen Aka Jillybean.
Didn't have the "usual" tension of Jillybeans alter personalities. Anticlimactic with the Corsairs. Having read all the Apocalypse 10 book series I came to appreciate and love the characters. In this book I felt the characters did not come across in true form. It was disappointing. I'm not sure these characters and their world can be portrayed well in a short story or novella.
Having been a fan of Jillybean for a long time, it's nice to hear that Eve got to tell her side or take on Molly's actions. Highly recommended this story for anyone who enjoys Peter Meredith and his story of the Apocalyptic world
I loved this book series, I don't want this journey to end. I going to miss all the characters. I recommend this book to anyone who loves an adventure. Worth every page!! I'm going to miss you Jilly....
Week, this book has plenty of twists and turns. Jillybean finds herself in the middle of a genuine mystery. One man disappears and another contacts a mysterious illness. It looks like Eve might be back. But is she really? You'll have to read it to find out.
